Esselworld has not come out with new rides for decades now. Same old stuff for school boys, the world has progressed but it seems Esselworld is stuck in time. But it was still fun to visit and enjoy due to the location. Atleast one visit is required.

I was very excited to visit place i.e essel world, after hearing a song essel world jana hai, after all a very good experience but not upto my expectation, a ride was good, but you have to stand in queue, a long queue, to get a ride, but you can avoid it, by collecting the fastrack pass, its like a vip pass, and you can purchase it on ticket counter.

Essel World, Mumbai Overview

Essel World, Mumbai Overview

One of the most famous and popular amusement parks in the country, Essel World is located in Gorai, close to the capital of Maharashtra, Mumbai. EsselWorld and Water Kingdom together make one of Asia's largest amusement parks. They expand over an area of 64 acres and are frequented by locals and non-locals from all age groups, especially kids. With some exciting rides and entertainment, Essel World and Water Kingdom are a favourite summer destination for many families. One can plan a day-long picnic or stay overnight at one of the hotels nearby to explore both the amusement parks. For tourists visiting the state capital, a visit to Essel World is a must. For many of the adults going to Essel World is synonymous with childlike enthusiasm and nostalgia.

Essel world defines a lot of peoples' childhoods, considering it is Mumbai's first amusement park! Great place for kids and adults. You can cover the whole place in half a day! Take a cab to Gorai beach and take the jetty to essel world. for those coming by train can get down at Borivali.

Easel world me Ragusa mein ghar nahi jaou ga mein....
this is one of Asia s biggest amusement parks. It is full of rides for kids and adults.
Rides like thunder, cyclone, hula loop will interest most thrillseekers... those are not the only thrill rides but are one of the most important and should not be missed.

For younger aged groups there are other rides too.

Family rides or games are also there
The garden maze is fun place for a big group. Where they have to find the exit once entering the maze.

There also is a mirror maze. It was a real hard one.
When I was young no one could find the way. And the first person got a ballon gift once the puzzle was solved, it was easy for all.

Ice skating is also something so important. Not to be missed. It s cold and fun. Hard for some. It helps if u know skating. Even better if you are a roller bladed like me.

The rain dance is also fun. There is do as well. I think it depends on what time of the year. Dominos pizza was inside. Don t know if it is stil there.

The list of rides are many.
Dashing cars is also the most important ones. Fun and crazy.

You won t forget this park. It s the best one. Most say better than Imagica which is also very far from Mumbai.
Have fun guys!

Essel world, water kingdom, Chidirya ghar and and pagoda, all are combo pack to spent with your family and freinds. I was there with my friends. We were out of money thats why we shed light on gates only.. Yes, we did a lot of fun without going inside.

Visited after 10 years gap, very pleasantly surprised. Most people assume Imagica is the better park, let me share why I believe the opposite is true, hope this helps others decide.

We took the ferry from Borivali which was well organised, clean and not too crowded. Rs. 50 each for the round trip of about 7 mins each way. Life jackets are prominently displayed, and not packed in plastic bags so you drown while waiting to remove them - unlike the local ferry from the same jetty. We couldn't find any Esselworld parking at the jetty, so had to park on the road (was slightly stressed my car might be towed, though I was in roadside parking). This could be improved, maybe we just missed the signs to their parking.

Esselworld overall is well maintained, with brightly painted enclosures, very neat and clean, lots of green grassy areas, clear signage all over. Rides are in excellent condition, with the exception of the Virtual Reality one which had only 10 VR goggles, while the ride could seat nearly 20. Food and drinks are reasonably priced, especially compared to Imagica. Lots of water fountains everywhere, which was thoughtful. In Imagica, the lack of drinking water forces you to buy over priced mineral water. Toilets were plentiful and quite clean. One exception was the ladies changing rooms near the Aqua ride, which stank of urine. Some visitors are disgusting, with no consideration of others who will use the space after them. Not the park's fault, but they should post an attendant to teach such people how to behave in public.

The staff all over (jetty, counters, food stalls, rides, toilets) were very helpful and cooperative, lots of smiles and I could see them supporting families with small kids which is very good in encouraging repeat customers.

A little bit about the rides... We visited with 3 kids, a couple of tall 10 year olds and 1 was 7. The older kids could enjoy all the rides as there was no height restriction. The younger one had lots of options including some good roller coasters as well. Much better than Imagica for smaller kids and families with a variety of age groups. For older kids and adults, I felt the big rides at Imagica were more thrilling, but too short. As an overall experience, we all found Esselworld much better because of the peaceful experience with many many ride options to choose. Taking a favourite ride many times was too easy, and we took full advantage! Imagica was long on hype and short on rides, in general.

We visited Esselworld on a Saturday, and the park was not crowded at all. Short queues and long rides are a great combination! In Imagica I felt like each ride was 30% shorter than it should be, while the lines were long and hot. Lots and lots of greenery meant that Esselworld was cool and breezy despite a fairly hot February day. The place is also just 1 hour from our home in extreme North Mumbai. Western suburbs are quarter to half this travel time.

Overall, I'm very glad we visited. This is our preferred amusement park near Mumbai once again.

Its good place to enjoy with family. Amazing riders are there. One can spend whole day there. Topspin riding was amazing and thrilling, it will do 360 rotation. Food facility is also there. One can also ice skating is there, but you have to pay extra 100 rs for that. Washroom are neat and clean. Overall its nice place to visit and have fun with family and friends.

Even after all these years, it's pretty well maintained! It's a slight pain to get there and getting back, but hey you can have a beer by the wave pool, so that should get you by.
After a tiring day at Water Kingdom, go for a satisfying and amazing thali experience to Maharaja Bhog (the closest is at the Oberoi Mall)
You'll have a good sleep that night!
