Great experience with the team. We did the river boarding which I highly recommend. My son loved it all. My daughter is more of a land person, however she completed the day with us so that is what counts. It is a great summer fun thing to do with the fam. Very exciting. Gracias Camilla and Pedro or Pitro or Petro, the tall guy with the heavy accent. Ya that guy. Best team on the water. Keep Pee Wee away from the cedar trees his pruning skills are are too good.

Absolute amazing group of individuals running the show! Huge thanks to Dave, Dan, and Hugh for an incredible rafting experience. The guys were very personable, knowledgeable, and experienced. They held a conversation well and made the bus ride entertaining. It was obvious they love their jobs! Special thanks to Mike for proving transportation and lunch. We went white water rafting for the first time. Our guides, Tyler, Tess and Ness, were awesome! Super informative and fun. Noah accompanied us by kayak and took spectacular pictures throughout the trip.
Everything was well organized and they took extra precautions for COVID-19 safety. Lunch wasn t great, but at least they provided food.
Amazing day. Our guide Dave was very knowledgeable and funny. Our safety kayaker and photographer Dan provided us with amazing photos and memories. Mike was our driver who provided us with an awesome lunch and some great jokes on the ride. A special thanks to Hugh who joined us on his day off and gave us our rope tow from the cliff jump. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Highly recommend this company. We are already planning our next trip!
Amazing experience with an unreal crew. Kamila was our guide and instructor who was clear on her communications and explanations. She was thorough with a big smile on her face. Piwi and Peter were also instrumental in ensuring the path was clear and safe as well as prepareing and executing. Rafting was a very nice experience. Even when i fell into the river and hurt my arm and leg i was still thrilled to have done it. Incredible and a must try.

White water rafting is one of the items on my to-do list for a while ago. I had to admit that this is truly-amazing than what I imagined before I literally did it. A must-do in Summer activity.
I went with a group of friends. 2 of them did not know how to swim and they still did it, as long as you don t scare of water. We had fully equipped before we rafted. The brief and preparations had given me a full details what to expect beforehand. In additional for COVID-19 situation as we were still in Stage 3 for State of Emergency, staffs make sure everyone wears masks in our school-bus ride to the rafting destination, mask and sensitizer provided by the company. Staffs are extremely friendly and well-organized. We feel very safe to go with Esprit in overall experience.
It is totally one full day adventure in Ottawa River. Lunch is included as well. The best thing is that they provided a photographer in the package.
Note: We were a little confused with the meeting point location and the actual esprit office address which we googled it up. So make sure you meet the staffs the right location when you go with this adventure.
PROS: SUPER fun rafting experience, delicious food, great scenery at the camp site, and we got a nice drink at the end of our rafting trip which was very refreshing! The photography was great too! They get really good shots while you re on the river!
CONS: Everything is pretty expensive. For example, 1 small bag of firewood was $23 which felt like a complete rip off. I really disliked that. On top of that, their souvenirs are overpriced ($25 for a short sleeve shirt and $35 for long sleeve).
Also, our guide was pretty quiet and boring. I had to strain my ears to hear him at the front of the raft, especially when we were going through the rapids. However, he was really good at controlling the raft and making sure we were all safe. The other guides seemed enthusiastic and fun though.
Although the staff was friendly, they were drinking, playing music, laughing and talking really loud until about 1am on the night before our trip. It was hard to sleep considering we had to be up at 7:30am for breakfast.
On the evening after the rafting trip, our food took an hour and a half to come out when they told us 20-30mins.
Overall, it was a pretty good trip! They seemed to take COVID seriously and had many precautions in place. I would recommend this trip to anyone!
Parking is free, kayaking and canoeing are free, environment is amazing and staff is extremely friendly.. I love this place perfect for family camping!
Friends and I decided to try out the river boarding. Our guide, Camila, was incredible. Made sure that we had a great time, got us safely down the river, and worked extremely hard to make our day as relaxing as possible.
If you are looking for pure rafting experience, THIS IS THE PLACE! We went rafting in mid September 2020, high water lvls. The equipment and the guides (Shay) were Super! Will be back 4 more. Highly recommended!
Myself and my Fiance, visited Esprit for the Whitewater Rafting activity. We spent two nights on the camp gound and one day rafting. The staff is very energetic, cortices, well qualified which made our rafting experience awesome. They also went out of the way to make a special weekend (my engagement) memorable. I would recommend Esprit rafting and plan to return in the future.
Had an amazing time doing the 2 day white water kayaking course! Started with the basics and then we went to a location with stronger current and progressed into some white water! Day 2 we got to go to the middle channel of the Ottawa River all day and run some rapids! After 2 days I can definitely say I love the sport.
Mama duck Dave, Cami, Les, and Ty were the instructors we got to work with and they were all so friendly and gave amazing feedback on how to improve!
Can't wait to go back for more lessons in 2021 and maybe even some rafting!
A fantastic experience. My first time going white water rafting. I went with a group of 14 including myself. My rafting guide was Jacob, he was terrific, very experienced. our other raft had Dave as the guide, hilarious guy, he was also terrific. Actually every employee at Esprit was great, very down to earth nice people, jolly, I would for sure go with this organization again as well as recommend this one.
It was the first time rafting for our entire group of 21 people and the guys and gals at Esprit were really courteous and patient in teaching and explaining things. It was a blast rafting down the Ottawa river with Esprit. They also provided great accommodations, fireplace and great lunch. Will definitely be coming back next year. Thanks Ty, Ian, Nick, Erin, Joyce and team.

If you're looking for the best whitewater rapids or river boarding experience on the Ottawa River, Esprit is the company to do it with! They are the only company to offer river boarding and the only company to take you down the main channel and the left channel of the river in the same day! All the guides and staff are extremely friendly and treat you like a friend rather than a "client"! They are all very experienced and have all the required training plus more! In terms of wanting a day of white water rafting, Esprit is the place to do it and have a great day! Highly recommend!
Esprit was an awesome experience, the staff love working there you can tell. These guys have more of a real vibe going than the other competitors who are more cookie cutter and use larger more boring rafts. Went for a Bachelor party I hope to go back again next year with my family. Shout out to our rafting guide Dave and the main man Darwin!
My family of 5 spent 2 days at espirit camp and rafting. The first night was rough coz pf the loud music and drunks shouting till 5 a.m I really recommend a quiet policy after 12. There was people hotboxing in a bus that sounded like a club.The 2nd day we went rafting with our guide Andrew. He was awesome. Patient and very courteous. Very good at what he does. One of the best adventures I ve had. We flipped over at the Coliseum and Andrew was very quick to react and get us back in. We also did the airboarding and hovercraft with Brandon which is another company that does water experiences. That was alot pf fun and Brandon is so cool. Espirit camp is beautiful and the staff are very courteous. Very well maintained. The breakfast was awesome and aplenty. Overall an awesome time. Thanks all
One of the best rafting tour companies available. Small rafts - guides are amazing, detailed and ensure informative. Great for beginners and experts alike. The camp site is very basic and minimal but tons of activities around. Campfire, bbq dinner, kayaking etc. Highly recommend
I am really happy! These guys are beyond awesome and made our day. Thanks alot Jim, Mark and Missie for the awesome sport. Even if it was Sunday, Jim was ready to take us the ride of our life and the way he maneuvered through that rapids just 2 of us is amazing buddy. Showed us beautiful places, guided us through the rapid waters and created one hell of a ride!!! Mark was always there to take beautiful snaps on his kayak though out the journey!!! Not sure how he managed to pull out these shots while on running water!!! Awesome buddy. And finally Missie helped us with out accomodation, food, camping, name it and Missie will be there for help. I had a great 2 days of fun at this place, amazing place and wonderful staff working there. Rafters were experienced and heedful for our safety. As luck would have it I happened to had the rafting experience with the most experienced rafter, she has a years of experience @Kamila. After a hard water sport they provided us comfortable staying arrangements. I am so thankful to Esprit team looking forward to next time with more adventures.
We had a great time rafting on the Ottawa river with Esprit. I was saddened to find out the lodge had burnt down, but Esprit's staff did everything they could to deliver the same excellent experience I've experienced in previous years.
Esprit has adapted to the need for social distancing and had a laudable social-distancing strategy complete to-go meals, complementary hand-sanitiser/masks, and required rafters to stay within their bubbles.
All the guides at Esprit are great, but a special shout-out to my guide on this trip, Ness. She was professional and her high-spirits got my group through a rather wet and cold day. You rock Ness!
These guys are amazing and I would give them more stars if I could. My wife and I first rafting experience and couldn't be more happier. The guides were great and everything about the whole trip was perfect. Definitely making it a yearly trip.

This is whitewater rafting on the Ottawa river at its finest. This was totally worth the price and the staff are awesome. A big shout out to Corrine for helping us dominate the bus-eater!

Our guide Dan is awesome. It was my first time doing white water rafting. Dan is very informative and skilled! Would love to visit again to try river boarding.
Honestly disappointed, the team was late to the set off point, we on the other hand scrambled to get there on time and were super stressed about being 5 minutes late. they were over half an hour late to the meeting point which meant we were late leaving. Over a month later the pictures we were promised we could download are not up on the website for the 23rd of July, as well as everyone else pictures look like their trip had more activities and was longer just one example is all other groups had wave surfing gear which wasn't even an option for us. Emailed and asked for the pictures 2 weeks ago and there was NO RESPONSE. Spent over 200 dollars on an experience and can't even get the pictures.
A group of 20 of us spent the weekend at Esprit doing the adventure package: We rafted Saturday and bungee jumped Sunday (w/ Great Canadian Bungee). Both activities were fantastic. The rafting guides were very professional and fun. The rapids were a perfect level of difficulty for our group. The trip was very well organized with meals and transportation included. The lodges were very cozy, with two bunk beds in each. There is no air conditioning, so the units do tend to get warm in the summer, and the mattresses are quite thin. Unfortunate the social hall was burnt down last year, so the communal space is a couple of large tents by the water. But I was told they are building a new social at the end of the 2017 season. Despite this our evenings were a lot of fun, with campfires, volleyball, kayaking and even tow wakeboarding to keep everyone busy.
Esprit made a slight booking error with the bungee jumping, but everything worked out. Also note that the office manager (Michele) can be difficult to get a hold of (She seldom responded to my emails until about a week before the trip).
We are planning on going again next year, although some of our group will be staying in an offsite hotel instead of on the Esprit grounds as they found themselves having pack-pain and stiffness due to the bunk beds.
All-in-all this is a great facility, and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in rafting in the Ottawa region.
