Everything i sampled/ate was very good; but its a complete rip off. They're out to get every dime they can from customers- $8 for berries, $15 smoothies and wraps?
Its like any other healthfood store just extremely over priced!!
They keep a close and watchful eye on each and every customer! And no samples anywhere! You want to try it, buy it!!
I recommend sticking to wholefoods for produce and health herbs and things

Lazy staffs don't care about how busy their store is. They don't have the sense of urgency in doing their jobs. It's annoying to watch them take their time while there's a long queue and people has been waiting forever just to pay for their overpriced food selection.

I love this store! Although somewhat pricey, if you are serious about your health and well being, you will love the large selection of organic foods, gluten free items and delicious prepared food. Simply love it!

Went in to this place today, basically got ignored by some girl that works here, she was too busy giving out here phone number...friggin 10 bucks for a coconut water...overpriced products n bad customer service...customers buy into the whole organic b.s. because they all look rundown!!! Trader Joe's all day baby!

Since I was in the neighborhood thought I'd stop by for my first time experience.
I must say I was quite impressed with this high-end selection of health food mega store ideal for vegetarian and vegan items as well as "real" name brand evoo.
Store is super clean and well-stocked I highly recommend checking it out for yourself if you haven't already.

This is my favorite organic grocery store. It's as if Whole Foods went on a detox and back to its grassroots local former self. The range of products is incredible, the selection of organic produce superior, and the customer service is the best not intrusive or weirdly stalker-like, and not absent. It's perfect. Their prepared foods from the kitchen offer a wide range of raw, vegan, and paleo options as well as good old fashioned home cooking style dishes, too. They have great healthy and organic baked goods. They also have a beautiful and carefully curated wine section, too! It's a spacious, clean, lovely store. Erewhon is a perfect 10 in my book.

When I first went in here I couldn't believe the variety of food I had not ever tried. I had friends that were vegan and recommended all these different kinds of products. Sheep cheese? Goat yogurt? And yet though the prices were certainly high I was intrigued.

I bought stuff. I went to the deli and bought more stuff. And found the food was surprisingly good. I came back and found fresh juices. And samples. Beautiful fruit and vegetables. This is place actually means "Nowhere" spelled backward -- but if you try it, I think you might agree for health food, you have definitely found "Somewhere".

While staying in LA this summer, Erewhon Market supplied me with most of my groceries. Their organic homemade soups come in quart Mason Jars and are better than anything that I can prepare on my own. I have become quite "spoiled."

Unfortunately, they are often understocked and many of the products that I shopped for regularly were not available. I shopped through InstaCart and had my groceries delivered to my hotel. Now that I am back East, there is nothing that compares to Erewhon's variety and quality. I will shop with them again when I am back in LA.

Due to the popularity of many of their products, I don't understand why they do not order more inventory. That is my only frustration.

Love the store. It's best to buy vitamins at Whole Foods because with a receipt they take returns and Erwhon doesn't. Also, some of the people in vitamin department are wonderful and helpful and some really aren't at all. The rest of the staff and store are great always.

They don't take social distancing as serious as it should. I went there last week and I got out immediately. There were tons of people who were shopping but this place didn't take any action to control the crowd and impose the required distance to one another. It's a scary place to be at these days.

Update: I was just in the store and it is not a safe environment to shop in. I have been a loyal erewhon client for over 12 years spending thousands of dollars. I will not continue to support a business run on greed and disregard for public health safety. The aisles are crowded with customers and workers. Several workers charged right through without giving customers the right of way or using their words to ask if they could please get by. The entire produce area is filled with people, making it impossible to pass by. I saw a worker hand me a boxed salad and the. Proceed to sneeze into his gloved hand. The store is packed with rude and dangerous Instacart and other third party shoppers who bump into people and ignore social distancing. Casey was in charge of the line at the front of the store and she was terrible. She didn t create a safe environment at all and ignored several people who didn t keep a safe distance from other customers waiting in line. I would rather wait outside for longer than be crammed in to an overpacked store. It s obvious erewhon just cares about making as much money as possible off the pandemic. I m angry they don t care about the health of their clients or their employees. Sometimes products are still on shelves past expiration dates. Too many spaced out vegans disrespectful of social distancing.

This place is overhyped. There are a lot of other stores who offer healthier alternatives but offer way more better service. This store is always crowded and you have to spend a long time to line for the cashier. The staffs are rude and not accommodating. Buy your products from other stores than here.

Discovered via TimeOut LA's article about cannabinoid-infused foods throughout the city. Erewhon offered Charlotte's Web-infused coffee (offered in partnership with the company, CW Hemp), but not sure if this was just temporary. I suggest calling in advance if interested. They also have another branch in Venice.

Best grocery shop in the area! They carry a wide variety of fish from around the world. Their staff is also very friendly and professional. When I first entered this grocery shop, I was very so shocked because the place was very clean and well-organized. A strong recommendation for you! Cheers for your success, guys!

Great sushi and very experienced in shopping here the place is greatly appreciated by myself and my husband are locked in the system as meal deal winners of the simplicity of the sushi. :P

Very disorganized, employees treated like robots

Very disorganized, employees treated like robots

Pros: Discounts, good food.

Cons: Disorganized scheduling, stores can be crowded at times and understaffed. Employee schedule would go from a late night closing to early morning opening schedule the next day, which won't give enough rest and make you looking and feeling really tired. Lack of communication between managers and members. Employees are under valued, and are treated like robots.

The best grocery store for all things healthy... from supplements to organic cold pressed juices, naturally sweetened sweet treats, grass-fed meats, grass-fed and raw dairy, prepared foods and of course all the produce is organic... the best healthy alternatives are here. It is pricey! But I love this place.

Erewhon Market soma is one of the best in CA and Bay Area. I go there pretty regularly ( if not once a day! Lol). The produce staff are always super helpful. I can't thank Don, Sol and Cesar enough.

This is more of a social hangout than a serious shopping space. Aisles are so narrow, two people walking past each other are obligated to touch. Items on shelves are not indicated with signs at the entry- I suppose it is assumed that customers already know where everything is located or they plan to randomly walk up and down every single aisle. Pretty stupid in this day and age of social distancing.

Excellent store and a buffet. Best of healthy choices. It is catering to younger crowd for me it's a little bit hard to navigate seems disjointed and not well flowing but that's just me.... everyone esle did not have any problems. Prepared food is delicious. I wish they would have indoor seating .

This place was a food court on steroids. There's so many options to choose from. There was a bakery, juice bar, seafood, produce market, Mexican food, Asian food, candy shop, plus more. The prices seemed reasonable for many of the shops. I only seen 2 desserts shops, one sold only candy and for other ice cream.

Every morning we got our coffee for breakfast. The store is big, very neat, clean and has everything for biolgical, vegan or kosher-oriented customers. The prices are of course higher than in the "normal" supermarket, but that's everywhere.

Amazing store. So much stuff, organic groceries, salads, juices, smoothies, tea, coffee, supplements, toiletries, beauty products, chocolate, alcohol, allergy free foods...etc etc! I love this place, and they have very friendly and helpful staff. Also have free parking for one hour which is also very helpful. Highly recommend!

Most of the time, the staff here is lazy and doesn't care about long queues. You are expected to wait in lines to get billed. Half the time, I finish my shopping in 10 minutes and have to wait over 30 minutes in the queue.

This place is wonderful for real food and drinks. But.. They hold a crooked company called danubepower inc. The drink IXSO. That claim they're all organic and vegan. Through further research we found this company to be fake, manipulative and crooks. Going from super market to supermarket trying to sell their fake drinks. They're not even GMO certified and they talk rude negative comments to the very kind managment. I don't understand why they carry IXSO.

I wish they d replace more of their plastic packaging with something organic or compostable. But they do a lot in glass jars and though it s an expensive store, the selection of the type of groceries you want if you re shopping here is good. Definitely not affordable. But then, again if you re shopping here you probably know that and are prepared for that.

Great selection of everything a health-conscience person looks for. Herbs, Food, Prepared Foods, Fresh Juice & Coffee Bar, and a variety of freshly made hot soups. Mostly Organic and Non-GMO.

A grocer aiming the highest for the best customer experience with both quality goods and thoughtful presentation. The owner even posts 360 degree photos of the aisles online. Isn t that an A for effort?

This cost more. The sourdough baguette was priced for its deliciousness.

Customer litter was minor. The organic bananas were uniformly unripe.

I ll return when I can.

This grocery shop is big! They have so many of the natural products I am used to getting at home, and they have great prices too. You can stop here for all your needs. The staff was welcoming and very helpful with suggestions. We will definitely come back again and recommend the grocery shop to my friends and family.

My mom and I were visiting on vacation and stopped in, looking for some things we don't have on the east coast. We found tons of neat stuff. However, it was really crowded and a little overwhelming. The aisles were pretty tight together, and the whole store was packed full of people. Overall though, it was a great and unique selection of food.

Love/hate relationship with Lucky. They had Arabic yogurt- SO GOOD..then they discontinued it = /. Why Lucky! Only one type of deli chicken breast but about 20 variations of turkey- no fair! Don't even get me started on calling in a deli order with the employees who barely speak English. Ugh!

It was Friday night when I dropped by at this shop. I was really impressed by this shop. They had a bit of everything that I needed. I bought some fresh produce from this shop and it was really at an affordable price. From now on, this grocery shop is my go-to shop for all of my needs. A highly recommended shop!
