Everyone should take some time to visit this place. It s not expensive and the experience will last a life time.
A abundance of history! Primary resources, awesome videos and re-enactments of the past struggles and those who were on the forefront of change and civil rights movement.
A wonderful, if somber, learning experience. Avoid going during really cold or rainy times. It s worth going to both the museum and exhibit, they really compliment each other.
Amazing education! Truly meaningful memorial and display.
Took the whole team. Life changing, thought provoking experience. This should be a federally mandated field trip for all public and private schools! Completely awesome, and eye opening. Please, please, please go visit. We Drove, from Texas to Atlanta just so we could stop here on the way home.!
Thank you Brayn Stevenson, and to everyone who played a part in putting this thing together. Bravo!
Amazing place. A whole family experience. No electronic, drinks or food!
Wonderful historical place "Must See" when visiting Montgomery Alabama.
Very educational. I enjoyed my visit. A Must See Museum.
Small space, but very well thought out. Highly Recommend.
The new Legacy Museum is beyond outstanding. A must for all, adults and school kids.
Powerful, moving...this is a new narrative and it is devastating to face. Our trip to the museum and memorial lasted four hours but seemed to go by in the blink of an eye. The evil of slavery is anything but behind this country. It just morphs and remorphs to assume a false mantle of legitimacy. As demonstrated, there is a straight line between enslaving people and mass incarceration. It sure took a long time to build this.
Read the book Just Mercy if you have not already. You will understand the accomplishments of those responsible for this essential organization.
I love this memorial thank you Brian Stevenson for your contribution to our American legacy.
Brings tears to your eyes seeing how evil history was towards African Americans
Thank you mr Bryan Stevenson for what you're doing sincerely for the justice and innocent people
Providing help to some who need it the most.Telling a story that everyone needs to hear. EJI deserves more recognition than they have received to date. Hopefully more recognition will come with the opening of their museum and memorial next year. I look forward to visiting them.
Great tasting food, and beautiful establishment. Looking forward to visiting again
Really cool vibe. Very clean and modern. Great place for history and laid back atmosphere! Also has Starbucks coffee available.
Beautiful grounds. Normally they charge for admission but were giving away free tickets when we arrived. I liked how each block represents a county. We were told that every name listed has been verified by at least 2 sources. Appreciate the time and research that went into this site.
Excellent educational, informative courteous staff
A true asset to Montgomery Alabama's landscape
I think they have done a wonderful job. There is the museum and then out door moonument , which can be very hot with lots of sun. A fair amount of walking.
Great place, great folks, with an important mission. The museum is top notch and a must-see for any visitor to Montgomery.
Bryan Stevenson and his staff are phenomenal people that do great work
