Fascinating tour. Impossible to see it all in on day. We will definitely be back.
I must say that the low-point of the visit was the woman working at the visitors desk. It was almost as if she didn t want us to tour. She explained that it was a workplace so kids weren t welcome. She didn t seem to like anything about Epic and could offer no suggestions as to what we must-see. Her whole attitude was a terrible first impression of a progressive workplace.

This place is Nerdvana... absolutely incredible architecture. Sprawling campus. All the buildings are accessible through either enclosed walkways or underground tunnels. Jeremy was an amaxing tour guide.

It s a cool place but the food just ruins it. Seriously. There s 1 place on campus visitors/trainees can eat, and if you don t like their ridiculous made up menu, you re out of luck. And you re in class from 8:30-5 for days in a row.

Pretty stupid to think that Uber drivers are just going to waste their time hanging out in your parking lot waiting for a fare. Whichever MBA came up with that idea needs to have their head examined. That, or Epic is purposely trying to push ride share off of their campus. If that is the case, job well done.

If My Chart at the University of Virginia Health Systems is your program, please be advised that it doesn't' work worth a hoot. I finally decided to just disregard it when the UVA writes (from a 'noreply' address) and tells me to please log on and see something they want me to see. Can't get there from here, folks. UVA couldn't make it work either.

About Epic

Epic: Revolutionizing Healthcare with Innovative Software Solutions

Epic is a leading software development company that has been transforming the healthcare industry since its inception in 1979. The company was founded in a basement by Judy Faulkner, who had a vision to create software that would help people get well, stay well, and ensure better health for future generations. Today, Epic has grown into a global enterprise with over 10,000 employees and serves some of the largest healthcare organizations across the world.

At Epic, innovation is at the core of everything they do. The company's mission is to improve patient care by providing innovative software solutions that streamline workflows and enhance clinical outcomes. Epic's software suite includes electronic health records (EHRs), revenue cycle management (RCM), population health management (PHM), patient engagement tools, and more.

One of Epic's most significant contributions to healthcare technology is its EHR system - an integrated digital platform that allows healthcare providers to access patient information from anywhere at any time. This system has revolutionized how medical professionals manage patient data and has significantly improved clinical decision-making processes.

In addition to EHRs, Epic also offers RCM solutions that help healthcare organizations manage their financial operations efficiently. These solutions include billing systems, claims processing tools, payment processing systems, and more.

Another area where Epic excels is PHM - an approach to managing population health that focuses on improving outcomes for entire communities rather than just individual patients. With its PHM tools such as risk stratification algorithms and predictive analytics models - Epic helps providers identify high-risk patients early on so they can intervene before conditions worsen.

Patient engagement is another critical aspect of modern-day healthcare delivery - something which Epic recognizes very well. The company offers various tools such as MyChart - an online portal where patients can access their medical records securely; communicate with their doctors; schedule appointments; refill prescriptions; pay bills online; etc.

What sets Epic apart from other companies in this space is its commitment to interoperability - the ability of different systems or applications to exchange data seamlessly without any loss or corruption of information. Interoperability ensures continuity of care across different settings while reducing errors due to incomplete or inaccurate information.

Epic's success can be attributed not only to its innovative products but also its culture of collaboration and customer-centricity. The company works closely with customers throughout the development process so they can tailor solutions according to specific needs while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act).

In conclusion,

Epic has come a long way since it was founded in a basement over four decades ago but remains true today as it did then- committed towards creating innovative software solutions for bettering human lives through improved health outcomes! With cutting-edge technology like EHRs & RCMs combined with PHMs & Patient Engagement Tools- all designed around interoperability principles- there are few companies out there capable enough when it comes down delivering quality services within this space!
