Environmental Waste Services, City of Garland Review

Trash pick up is always on time around 7ish in our area. Good job guys

A few years ago, this city was phenomenal about caring for their tax paying citizens.
I forgot today was Friday.
Until I heard the truck.
Then, as I was rushing to put my trash bins out at 7:10, just 10 minutes past the deadline, I had to chase down the recycling truck for a block. He saw me coming down the driveway, made eye contact with me and sped off.
Then, as I was heading back to my house after triumphantly forcing him to take my recycling at the stop sign around the corner, I came across the regular waste guy.
I tried to flag him down to let him know I had just put my trash out and ask him to grab it real quick and he wouldn t even look at me. I was in a bright red shirt dragging a blue recycling bin behind me, for the love.
Then, when I called the waste center, they told me that they would ask the driver to come back but they don t have to and I should just drive my trash to the dump myself.
Now folks, should I do that in a civic, or a Prius?
Since that was the reply, I made one more desperate attempt to get them to pick up my trash and ran out to the bulk trash guys begging them to just take a couple bags. Wait until next Friday was the reply.
What has happened to quality customer service and helping a neighbor out?
I am hoping my review changes if the trash man does decide to come back and pick the trash up.

The city of Garland missed picking up my thrash two weeks ago and I called them. They said I needed to wait until 8pm on Friday and I could also use their app to report it. After 8pm tried to use the app and to reschedule it but didn't work. After so many trials I finally schedule the missed pick up but never picked it up. Last Friday they missed my thrash again, I called them again and they said I needed to call them Monday, I called them today but they said they would pick it up in 24-48hrs to call them back on Wednesday if didn't pick it up. I told the CSR Michael I have extra thrash for the previous week they didn't pick it up and they said they wont pick up the thrash if it's not on the thrash can and I can take it myself to the thrash site on commerce. The environmental waste services for the city of Garland is a JOKE. This is not the first time they do that. They should be ashamed. I don't know what else to do, and their customer service team doesn't give 2 cents about it. I guess I have to take my own thrash to their place. It's very frustrating....very disappointing

A neighbor leaves his trash my side of a curb day by day. He said that a part of the curb belongs to his land so he can put trash there. After trash service picks all trash up on every Thursday, he leaves more trash there next day, and repeat leaving it day by day. I hope to receive your recommendation. Thank you.

My neighbors trash hasn't been picked up for over a month, it's smell is getting worse and now have started to pile more trash on my side of the curb over a utility box. What do I do??

I dont know what it is but my bulky trash hasnt been picked up i remodeled and our trash has been sitting thwre for over a week and not just me my other neighbors as well

I don't think Garland Trash know what they're doing honestly. if everything doesn't fit in your trash can good luck getting rid of it. Had extra bags they won't pick up on the outside of my trash can. so I bought another trash can after talking to servicing on the phone, that you have to pay for. had a bunch of sheetrock i need to get rid put it at the curb, no pickup. called again I was told to put it in a bag outside the trashcan and they'll pick it up. nope didn't pick that up ether. I've never in my life ever had so much problems trying to get trashed pickup. i'm sure someone will respond to this to contact services again, I shouldn't have to call 4 times to figure out how to get you to pickup my trash.

This is the third week in a row where they with skip my house or knock trash all over my yard. I m sick of this. I m about to bring all of this trash to the front door of the offices to see if they can figure out what they can possibly do with it.

I had gah-barge. Then, after throwing it into a big green bin, i drove away to have it magically disappear time and time again. Oh boy, no stinky for me!
