Food was amazing service was decent but it was a very busy night. Had to wait a little bit to get our check. Food came out very fast. Overall great place to eat!

SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE!!! FOOD NEVER CAME. WE WAITED A HOUR FOR NACHOS. NEVER CAME. WE JUST GOT UP AND LEFT. NEVER AGAIN.

We had a retirement party for a coworker yesterday and everything was great! They have the perfect spot in the back for a large group & food/staff were excellent. Will definitely be back with my family! Thank you

They did remodel Ensenada looks very nice. The food is okay. The food before the remodel was amazing. We have been there 3 times the food has no flavor. We were told it is the same cook as before the remodeling.

The service and food is better in the evening. I don't recommend going there for lunch.

Me and my wife loved the food here. There were soo many options to choose from, even a healthy section. The food didn't take long and came out warm and fresh. The place felt cozy. The only down side for me and my wife was being looked at and constantly asked questions, I understand good service, but when someone looks at me like they want me it's a little creepy. I was just trying to enjoy my food but the one guy who wasn't a waiter kept asking me if everything was okay. Other than that the food and service was really good and I would go back.

Watch your receipt! After dining here with not so great service, we received our bill that was just the waiter s chicken-scratch food ticket and then another receipt on top which was just a list of prices. We were confused why our bill was so high and had to determine what matched with what on our list of prices. We had the waiter and management help us figure it out (not a good sign when management doesn t even know!) and we got over charged $10 by extra added fees that made no sense! What a scam! The food isn t worth getting overcharged even a little. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere!

Always like the food here now especially with the remodel it looks great much more upscale happy to take a date here. I mean well if I wasn't married. So I guess I'll just take my wife here on a date. :-)

An very nice Mexican restaurant to go and all the staff were friendly and helpful whenever there was an question about something. Dinner was also good and came out quickly which is rare but sometimes it can happen on slow days too.

Food is excellent and fast. We have found our new Mexican place.

Great experience! It s my first time in Virginia Beach and we tried this restraurant.. when our server walked out with a beer our beers on his head I knew this would be interesting!! Good food, good drinks, try it!!

The food is really good!!! But the service is absolutely horrible! It's as if no one knows what they are doing haha, except for one of the bartenders who ended up serving our table, he was cool (bald, forgot his name) but he was hitting on my roommate (subtly, I will add) the whole time haha.

Absolutely outstanding! The young man who took our telephone order was very pleasant and polite. The food was ready by the time I arrived to pickup. The gentleman who took payment was all smiles and very helpful. Now the food itself was even better than the service and that was hard to beat! Huge portions to say the least, I split my quesadilla, rice, beans and cheese nachos intending to save the rest for lunch the next day. It didn t make it that long, it so flavorful I went back for a second helping after I polished off the first. My wife had a monstrous Monterey Burrito which looked awesome. We will most definitely be back!

Overall, I would recommend Ensenada. Went after church on a Sunday afternoon and we were one of three guests there. The staff was very friendly and we received our food almost immediately after ordering. The food was very good (authentic), and at a good price to boot.

The remodel looks very nice however the quality of food has changed. This is by far the worst food I've had from a Mexican restaurant in my life. Very small portions with no flavor. I ordered the Texas fajitas and I swear there was more onion than meat so much so I had to pick it out. The meat had no seasoning and was very disappointing. Unfortunately we won't be going back which is sad because I've enjoyed their food in the past.

I want to give this place more stars because the people were so friendly but the food was mediocre. The chips part of the chips and salsa that are staple of Mexican restaurants were a little over cooked. The side of guacamole that you can order at pretty much any Mexican restaurant was more of rough chopped avocados and salsa. For our meal we ordered the lunch number 13 and 17 with chicken for both. However, our number 13 was pork for whatever reason. Rather than send it back we just ate it anyway. Additionally, the cheese sauce on the number 13 was kind of dry. My number 17 was actually pretty good and the cheese sauce was delicious. Maybe it was just an off day, I'm not really sure. If I ever go back ill update my review.

If you're looking for cheap, average mexican this is your place. It's right off of Virginia beach blvd. Easy to get into. Food is good, not the best but good. Margaritas are super weak-ask for an extra shot on the side. However you can leave with 2 dinners and 2 jumbo Margaritas for under $30.00

One of my favorites for a long time. Always a great time and great eats.
