SB is just the perfect place to have one of the best experiences of your life.

Nice place, friendly and helpful staff.
Only three stars because of the bad accommodation in guest family, I recommend you inspect before, if you can, or have some contact before at least.

I had 8 really nice weeks at the ELC school.
All the students and teacher are funny. Sometimes
we had a lot of homework but so I learned a lot and now my
english has really improved. I really recommend the school to
other people who wants to learn English and meet people from the
whole world. :-)

I have been at ELC Santa Barbara, beautiful city with good weather, for two months now. It is a wonderful opportunity to learn English. The school is located at downtown (great location). The staff is very helpful and supportive. I had an amazing time participating in outdoor activities and sharing experiences with other international students.

I m thinking how to describe this amazing school and stuff but is not easy, because sometimes words are not enough . I could write that the staff is very friendly and organized. I could write that the teachers are great. I could write that the school is located in an amazing place. I could write that is very easy find friends. I could write that, if you are motivated, you can improve a lot your English. I could write that you can enjoy your time doing a lot of activities. I could write a very long list of beautiful things.
But it will be never enouth.
Why? This is a family. When you arrive in this school, this family gives to you all what you need. This family take care about you and if you are enough smart and open minded, meeting so many guys from different nations, will open your world. Here I ve met guys that I will remember for all my life. Here I ve learned very important things that I ll use in my ordinary life (and for this I ve to say a huge thank you to some of my teachers and to some of my new friends). Here I ve enjoined 3 amazing months.
And I ve done these things improving my English day by day.

I just had the time of my life. I fell in love with Santa Barbara and all my great class- and schoolmates. ELC is a smaller school. Therefore, it causes this feeling. This feeling of being a big and united family. That's what makes it so so special! ELC is worth every penny and I recommend it to everybody who wants to combine improving English with a loooot of fun.

ELC Santa Barbara is the best English language School in the city. The building is beautiful, and the staff that works there is very nice, and the teachers are great. I highly recommend other foreign students to study at ELC Sanata Barbara, my experience was excellent.

Amazing month in Santa Barbara with ELC ! I recommend it to all of you.

I'm so glad to have chosen ELC. ELC is centrally situated so it doesn't take long to get to the beach nor to downtown. It's a charming little school which makes you feel familiar immediately.

We are between 5 and 9 students in class. Unfortunately, mostly Swiss people attend Cambridge classes, so we don't have the cultural mix like regular classes at ELC.

The teachers are very competent and helpful. There was always enough learning material provided and I always could ask questions. We have discussed a lof of interesting issues about Santa Barbara and America which has helped me to find places worth visiting, understand the culture better and find good bars and restaurants. In other words, it has helped me to feel at ease in Santa Barbara.

After school and on weekends, various programs and trips have been offered like kayaking, surfing, Las Vegas trip,... which I enjoyed so much!

The ELC - Santa Barbara is an English School for everybody who wants to improve his english. They have very well organized classes and prepared teachers. They also organize a lot of extra activities to let everyone meet new friend from all around the world.
I would recommend it for sure!

Excellent place to improve your English in the very heart of a lovely city.

I attended ELC classes for three weeks in an intensive course.
Since day one I felt as I was in a family: staff was very kind and helpful, classmates were very friendly.
Above all, Santa Barbara is awesome and ELC building is in a beautiful place in the town.
Courses were very interesting (grammar, communications, reading & writing, slang class): the method of teaching was effective and every student had the possibility to speak.
At the end of every week there were a grammar quiz that's a really good idea to make students study.
They also organized other extra activities such as dancing or surfing courses, parties, tournaments in many sports (soccer, beach volleyball, ping pong...): that was a great idea to allow people to stay together and keep on talking an learning English.
I surely recommend ELC!

Very kind and helpful teachers. I really enjoyed going to class everyday. I also really liked having people from all over the world in my classes and I got to know them all really well. Best school ever!

I did a part time conversation course during my first month in Santa Barbara and it was really great. ELC is very welcoming and personal and I really love the way how students are treated. My teacher Erika was really nice and I learned a lot during her classes, I did some nice activities and I met a lot of very nice people. My course is now ended but I will probably be around a lot during my future stay in California so that pretty much says it all.

I was in ELC Santa Barbara for six months. I had such great time at this school.This school is located downtown.Everyday there are some activities to do after school. I met really nice friends and host family . The ELC staff is very kind and competent.I will never forget this amazing time.

The teachers are really awesome and the location is pretty good. You are near to the beach and to State Street. The rooms are nice and clean and the ELC-staff is very friendly.

The school is the best choice to study or improve your English in Santa Barbara! The teachers are very helpful and teaching great! I would always choose ELC again! I took the intensive course and it was worth the time and money!

I think it was one of my best choice that I chose this city Santa Barbara and this school ELC. I've met a lof of amazing friends, teachers, and host families through the school. Classes are well organized and there are various after-school activities in ELC. I will never forget the moments that I've had in this amazing school!

I did a course at ELC Santa Barbara in 2014 and my experience with the school was not good. The school is great and the teachers too, but I bought a package that was included a stay with a family home indicated by the school. They did not give me some options to choose, and the first week I stayed with the family I had a terrible experience, when I complained at the school asking for the transfer to another house, they told me that nothing could be done. This has greatly affected my exchange experience and for this reason I do not recommend ELC to anyone.

It was very nice to learn English at this school because everybody was very friendly and I learned a lot.

It would be better If I can cancel classes duo to some reasons.

I really enjoyed my time at ELC! The location is great, the staff is very friendly and there are a lot of activities after school! The perfect place to learn English, see different things and make new friends!

I loved so much this experence, I spent two months at ELC and I can confirm the best quality of these courses. Teachers are very qualified, friendly and they make you interested in following the lesson,doing the homework and studying for he test. At ELC you can meet students from every parts of the world, I recommend this experience to everyone!

I had an memorable time at ELC in Santa Barbara. I had difficulty speaking English. But now, I have improved my level thanks to the intensif program and tutoring system. Teachers are experienced and methodical. The staff is welcoming and efficient.

I'm really glad to have met new and specials friends from different countries. Those friendships will last forever!!!
Living in a host family can be a great experience, but i didn't like it too much, cause my host family lived too far from the school. After moving to La Brezza, i could enjoy more the city, cause it is closer.

Santa Barbara is the perfect place to learn english. ELC Santa Barbara is not so big so the classes are small and the staff is always friendly. ELC is like a family with the staff, the teachers and the students. The school organizes many great activities every week so you get to know your teachers and the american culture. I stayed in a very nice host family with three little kids. The kids were definitely the best practice because they speak a lot and very fast. Santa Barbara has just everything with its location between the mountains and the beach. In a few hours by car you can be in LA, San Diego, San Francisco or Las Vegas. I had an unforgettable time in California and recommend this place to everybody.

Santa Barbara is a very pleasant little town to stay. The school is very well located and everything is within reach.
Teachers and reception staff are very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Everything is very well organized.
The atmosphere is very relaxed and pleasant. Students come from all over the world, a fact that gives the school an international touch.
Many activities are proposed by the school itself.
Classes are not too big and teachers are well prepared for their lessons.
The only negative point: classes lack sometimes a bit of seriosity. A little more pressure would help some students to reach their goal a little sooner. Mistakes of more advanced students are often not corrected.
On the whole, ELC in Santa Barbara is a very good choice to learn English in an agreeable ambiance.

ELC Santa Barbara is one of the great schools in the United States. This school gives you many different classes trying to improve your English and providing new skills. The experience that I had was amazing, so the teachers are helpful and supportive to the whole students. ELC stuff are also helpful and for respectful to all of us, they are trying to offer many great activities to their students to give them a chance to know about American culture as they did. Indeed, i will recommand ELC Santa Barbara to my friends and relatives.

My time at ELC has been the best experience of my life. I spent 8 months at ELC with all the great teachers and staff members who were like a family for me. I have improved my English a lot thanks to the several courses that I have followed, either the general courses, where I got to know many cultural varieties, or the Cambridge program. I enjoyed a lot being in ELC! The teachers are so helpful, and friendly. The classes are in a perfect size, so everybody can benefit of improving english. I've met so many people around the world, and i am so glad to pick the right choice studying here! The staff were the highlight! They organized everyday things we can do after class. That was so much fun. Thank you ELC !

ELC is a nice little English School. There are a lot of nice people and you can have a lot of fun. The school is situated just next to state street - that's great. You always can go and get a good coffee downtown, go to the beach in the afternoon, have a good lunch or dinner.
The school is clean and the staff on the front desk is really kind! Unfortunately it's always pretty cold in the rooms because of the automatic air conditioning.
And there are many people are from Switzerland at ELC school, that's why many people are talking in swiss-german to each other - and not in english :(
But all in all it was a really good experience at ELC school in Santa Barbara.

It stayed a bit short time in ELC Santa Barbara, but it was a great experience to be there.

Is a really good school to learn English, special for Spanish speakers because is not many people who speak Spanish. I recommend 100%.

Elc school is such a familar and friendly school. The elc staff is pleased to help you if you need any help. The teacher are very open minded and learn you a lot. I really like to go to school here in santa barbara. I enjoyed my time here and recommand it every person!
The only problem is, there are really to much swiss people. So you have a lot of swiss german around you. If you're from swiss, its eazy to make friends but you speak mostly german together instead english (I dont know why, just everyone do it).
