They have a unique conservation program as well as excellent education events. The animals are well cared for, the staff is very knowledgeable about the animals, and it is clear that everyone who works there is passionate about saving these animals.

Went out for National Trail Day. Lots of fun. Went on a hike up to the cave. It was very beautiful but pretty steep trail. They served lunch after and brought a red fox out for us to meet. Would definitely visit again!

This place is very well-run. They have two species of wolves as well as African wild dogs in very large enclosures. Many of these wolves will hopefully be released back into the wild. You can visit them on by guided tours which can be reserved online. Tours last about 45 minutes.

So! Much! Fun! We did a wolf howl. And man was it cool. Bon fire then when it started to get dark we went out down the road. The wolves started going nuts right off the bat! Very fun! We will be going back!

I Have not been yet but I wish there was some way to adopt a wolf but I don't have a permit and not much experience with wolves or a good place for it to stay at the time hey but a boy can wish

An excellent place that is doing excellent things. My visit was beyond my expectations. The tour was well-led and there was a lot of information to be learned. Extremely proud to be a member and to have adopted a member of this amazing organization. Highly recommend going on the tour. If you can, ask for Nick! The 9am and the 3pm tours are the ones with the most activity from the animals. Hidden gem of Saint Louis! Will be back again this fall !

We went to a Campfire Wolf Howl. It was somewhat informative, but I think a little more depth on what they do and why they do it and what you could do to help would be nice. I had the impression that we would come back to the campfire after the howl for hot cocoa and s'mores, but not sure if it was too cold or the norm, but we ended up going back to a building and having hot cocoa, coffee, and girl scout cookies. It kind of took away the outdoorsy theme I had envisioned. The wolves will howl back 9 out of 10 times you go, but we ended up there on the 1 in 10 chance and they didn't howl. A little bit of a let down, but what do you do. We plan on going back and taking our 3 year old to one of the day tours.

We went out for a Wolf howl where we heard the roar bark of the Maned Wolf, listened to stories about the different wolves and the wonderful work they do at the center while sitting around a campfire enjoying hot chocolate and roasting marshmallows!

The work these people do is amazing! It is good to know people are trying to keep animals alive as opposed to just hunting and killing for trophies! It was a learning experience that I truly enjoyed. This is my second visit. I learn something new every time and enjoy the stories that come with every visit.

The EWC is open to the public by reservation only and great place to spend a couple of hours. Here you will see and learn how this local center has been helping with the rewilding of wolves around the world aince the late 1960's from the their experienced and passionate caretakers. Afterwards, swing by Sugarfire off 141 for delicious BBQ or if you still have energy to burn stop into the World Bird Sanctuary for a hike through their birds of prey. Bother the EWC and the WBS are unique to St Louis and a must see if you live here or are passing through.

Very informative and friendly, caring staff. Thanks for working so hard to save these beautiful animals. Got to see several wolves and was lucky enough to see one bark. A great afternoon trip.

Family friendly and the employees are nice and knowledgeable. Once you get off the highway its NOT easily seen from the exit and easy to get lost the first time because there are is no signs to direct you.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff. We learned a lot. I didn't know this place even existed until we went. Very inspiring to learn about the impact of predators, specifically wolves, on the ecosystem.

Went on a hike here for National Trails Day. Moderate level hike with some steep climbs on a beautiful trail, as well as a visit to a cave, catered lunch, raffle, and a visit from one of their resident foxes. Staff and volunteers were extremely friendly and helpful. This was our second event at the center and both have been very enjoyable, I highly recommend it!

This was fun, and a very different way to celebrate Valentine's Day. This was a gift to me from my wife, along with "adopting" a wolf whose personality and characteristics reminded my wife of me -- and I'm fine with that! We went for a walk in the woods (with others people and a guide!), howled into the night, and the night (wolves) howled back to us. LOL

A family member had a great visit and decided to help support EWC and recruited some more of us to help too. Some of us donated, and we had several additional people/businesses willing but couldn't get information from EWC. When we dropped off donations, including one that was meant to honor my son, there was no thank you, until only one of us received a thank you letter in the mail five months later. I can't tell if they treat all their donors this way, or if we didn't give a high enough amount to gain their appreciation. We had tried to reach out and all we got were excuses about how lazy some employees are which is why we weren't thank to begin with and then how thank yours were mailed out multiple times. I find it hard to believe the post office lost multiple letters. There are lots of other organizations who truly appreciate any assistance they get. I'd recommend use your efforts elsewhere.

The wolves are in very small enclosures with two fences separating you from them. I had expected them to be in more open areas. They said we might need binoculars so we had figured we would be viewing from a higher point in their larger spaces. It was very disappointing. Happy that the proceeds went to the refuge, but you'd be better off going to the zoo (for free).

I woild have liked to get closer to the animals, however I understand why we can't. The staff are incredible and knowledgeable. They have a wide array of different species of wolves, fox, and coyote. This is really a fun place to see these beautiful animals! There is a lot of walking and some gravel roads.

We visited the Endangered Wolf Center during our vacation in St Louis. It was a great place to visit for a wolf and animal lover. We enjoyed the tour, animals, gift shop, and facts we learned! Neat place!

I had to go here because of my job. I had never heard of it before then. But let me tell you I do plan on going back. That place is beautiful. If you like the wilderness then you should go. They said in the fall they are open at night and they do a big fire with hot chocolate and you get to listen to the wolves all around you. Don't worry the wolves are in a big cage.
