We had an amazing experience with the Engdangered Wolf Center. Not only was our tour guide, Matt Fox, exceptionally knowledable, he was also clearly passionate and devoted to the animals. Every volunteer we encountered was friendly and happy to contribute more information regarding the fascinating animals. The animals themselves were unique and definitely a must see! I cannot recommend this establishment enough. For us it was a stop along a road trip but without a doubt one of the highlights of our vacation!

I went there with my husband and we had a blast! It's very educational, great for kids and adults alike. It also involves a 1 mile walk which was a nice pace for us. The animals looked well cared for - I recommend!

We took out girl scout troop here to earn a badge and they did not disappoint. The volunteer guide walked us around, showed us the animals, and was very knowledgable about everything. He also didn't mind the 200 questions that our girl peppered him with the whole time we were there. They did a great job.

Erin, our tour guide, was a wonderful educator about all the animals and their care. She gave us facts about the natural world we live in. Everybody living nearby or guests to the area should make a visit.

We at Joe's Affordable Tree Service love working at the Center. When they need trees removed or trimmed in and around the habitats, it's always a learning experience. We're lucky enough to get up and personal with some of the animals while we're there. We love the Endangered Wolf Center!

Great place to go and they have a wonderful mission they are trying to accomplish. The day I attended was for members only as my family donates. We got to see a maned wolf within 20 feet. Did not get to see the 14 newborns, but expected not to able to.

If you have the ability to go, please do.

Fantastic! This place and the people here are saving several species of wolves from extinction. I was worried that we wouldn't be able to actually see many, but we got lucky and they were all out and active. Even got to see the cute little fennec fox that's living there!

Took my son here for his birthday to coincide with his wolf fascination, and he certainly wasn't disappointed. The welcome/retail center is in an old WWII ammo bunker, and is a very interesting, well utilized space! I don't think a better tour guide than Matt exists, he's truly passionate about keystone predators and ensuring their survival for years to come. We were able to see a maned wolf on a leash, which was quite the sight to see... a wolf on a leash taking treats from a human. It was one of the ambassador animals that is taken out to highlight their conservation efforts.

The enclosures are set up so that the animals are visible to visitors, so there's no disappointment in being unable to see them during the tour, as sometimes happens at the zoo. Matt had the patience of a saint with questions ranging from those regarding the various wolves to Fortnite, answering each honestly and sincerely.

Our host guide was very knowledgeable and interesting however there were quite a few kids in the 5 yr old range and they lost interest pretty quick and just wanted to view the wolves and fox. She did hold the interest of the older kids, however, along with us adults!

What an amazing experience! We came all the way from Michigan to visit as a surprise to my boyfriend for his bday. Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable! This is not a zoo and we came with the knowledge of their rehabilitation and wanting to learn. These are wild animals and not meant for spectacle. Thank you to our great tour guides Erin and Shawn and to the keeper Sarah for answering all of our many questions! All of your guys dedication and passion is empowering!

Good place to check out and learn about wolves and a little Missouri history. The classroom could have been cut a little shorter imo but it is geared more towards children. Wolves and painted dogs are interesting to see.
We did an enrichment activity which wasn't super exciting but it was interesting and you get to talk to the trainers who work with them on a daily basis and ask questions.

This place was so awesome and has amazing history. What they do there is great. I have lived my whole life in St.louis and have never been here. Whether you live here of visiting this is a must! You must make a reservations but it is definitely worth it. They also do kids birthday parties that are great!

We had a wonderful experience with our 7 and 10 year old daughters. My 10 year old is obsessed with wolves and was not let down at all. Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging. The mission of the EWC goes far beyond the display of these amazing creatures. You really get a sense of the restoration, research and conservation efforts that underlie everything they do. We would definitely go again!

Well, call ahead or get there early because to participate in the demos and classes you must be pre-registered. ( A lesson we learned : ). They still let us in so we could visit the gift shop, which is also a classroom, both of which are very cool. Thank you for that EWC!
I gave five stars because of what these wonderful people do for these beautiful creatures. Thank you!

We scheduled a personal tour of the different canines they are helping. Very interesting stories from the guide too.
It was an easy hike in the woods.
Great for those who like animals, esp dogs, and nature.

Like the World Bird Sanctuary (which is in the same area and I'd recommend anyone visiting check out), the center is located within beautiful and deep forests. The facility itself is highly educational and very focused on the betterment and reintroduction of endangered Canid species (hence the name).

They hosted a messy play day for toddlers as well as tours of the wolf pens, a great experience. Super friendly staff and volunteers who were very knowledgeable. Lots of good work being done here.

This was a first time for me and I loved it. We went for the campfire howl. The wolves did not howl very much but there were multiple expecting wolves that are due any day so think they were getting ready for puppies.
