This is my favorite wine store in the capital region. Very large/diverse selection and competitively prices. Entering the store, one could get fooled by the warehouse-like setup and conclude that the service would reflect this. But that would be a mistake, the staff is attentive, fast and very knowledgeable. Even though the store is packed with customers the staff always takes their time to share their knowledge and suggest alternative/complementing wines. Highly recommended!!

Have twice ordered a case of champagne from Empire for delivery to South Florida. The whole process was most positive, from using the website, to asking questions of employees (always readily available) to noting and paying a very competitive price with reasonable shipping fees. All without leaving one's front door. Definitely the place to shop!

My most recent order has soured my entire experience. I have been a loyal customer since they opened. However, getting rebate forms has always taken some persistence. With my last online order, I made a point to request 6 rebate forms for items I purchased. When they put the boxes in my car, I asked if he remembered the rebate forms. The clerk said yes, they were in the bag. When I arrived home, I found that they had only put in three of the forms. I immediately called the store and they said that they would send them to me. However, they did not send them until more than 2 weeks later, which was after the deadline. They were unappologetic and the only option was for me to return the items. Obviously they have more customers than they can satisfactorily service. Since this is not the only store that has curbside pick-up, time to shop elsewhere.
