Received a bill for my wife's ER visit over three months after her visit. I paid it same day I received it in the mail. Received a debt collections notice less than three weeks from the date it was paid. Called their office several times, only to be sent to voicemail. When I finally got a person to answer, they were very rude and would not tell me anything about whether or not the account was paid for or not. Very difficult to get any helpful response, but eventually they confirmed it was paid, though they wouldn't explain why I was sent a collections notice or why I didn't receive the bill until after three months.

They also called my wife the same day the notice came in the mail, AND ASKED FOR PAYMENT WITHOUT TELLING WHO THEY WERE OR WHAT THEY PAYMENT WAS IN REGARDS TO!

Terrible. I went to DeVos Children's hospital when my 6 week old baby had RSV DeVos is in network with my insurance company. Well that particular Dr that saw my daughter was not in network with my insurance. Now we are left with $700 bill and they are unwilling to work with us. I can't help in an emergency situation who sees my daughter. They need to accept all the insurances at the hospitals they choose to work with accept. I will now be screening every Dr that comes into my room when I am at Spectrum Health and any ECS physician will not be allowed to touch us.

I am surprised how high their rating is. I you want your bill lowered to a reasonable amount you sent a letter stating you should have a lower bill. They don't respond to the polite letters, they throw them in the garbage or they just can't read. Going on 5 months now.

Sounds like a scam. They sent a bill for an er visit that I have no idea how they are involved with. And they marked it "final notice" when they hadn't sent any previous notices.
Makes me think that some fake doctors office is tricking people into paying them.

I have been dealing with a $50 bill that they sent to collections without ever being notified about it. The only way I found out about it was I saw it on my credit report! I've been trying for a month now to get someone on the phone bc my current insurance will take care of it, but they won't call me back!

Good luck getting hold of someone on the phone. The only option is to leave a message. I purposefully only left my name and number. I have a bill that I'm trying to pay and the address is for a doctor's office in Chicago. I'm in Michigan, the same area of the ER I was seen. Not going to send payment there. A couple hours later, I received a call back from Gabby and she took care of my bill and contacted the collection agency to have it listed paid in full. I was leery at first but ended up pleasantly surprised. Bill is paid and the receipt was emailed to me while we were still on the phone. Gabby rocks!!

$871.00 billed for a "supervising ER doctor" that LITERALLY spent 45 SECONDS with my son (at the end of our emergency visit) to allow us to leave. oh, he offered my son a slushie - I guess that makes it all better. Spectrum Health/ DeVos Children's Hospital should be ashamed to work with this unethical company.

Received a bill that says ECS Western Michigan on it like I'm supposed to know what that means. Good thing Google is around to help out.Then I read this bill to see it was $800 to get less than 10 minutes with a doctor... and to top it off, you better be ready with the money because you get 30 days before collections is looking for you.

Fantastic, hard working providers with an array of specialties and continued education. Excellent company to work with and my first choice for Emergency Care for my family.

If I could give this company a negative star review I would do it with out thinking twice. We received a bill in the mail from the ER. You can t speak with anyone, you have to leave a message and you continually get the same run around. Now my bill in collections because they didn t send it through my insurance company. Ridiculous joke of a company, I refuse to go to any Hospital that deals with this company. I m disgusted.
