The friendliest person I met at the embassy was the security guard. Everyone else looked grumpy and intense, they were so rude too. YOU NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT for applications. They have the most useless beings at their front desks. Don't waste your time by calling, it's pointless.
No need appointments, quick and efficient. Staff is very flexible and helpful. Busan consular office also very flexible and efficient
They have changed from being able to take phone calls to only being reachable via email. Staff is kind and helpful. I had an appointment for a new passport and ended up taking longer than my designated time frame (30 minutes), but this wasn't an issue. Pick-up times for ID's and Passports are limited. Opening times only in the morning - which can be inconvenient for working folks. If emails are send early morning or noon, chances are they will answer on the same day (if not - one business day).
Friendly reception and service.
First go to reception desk on ground floor to get an access card.
Use access card to enter elevator.
The German embassy is on the 8th floor.
If you have an appointment, don't forget to bring a printout of the email confirming your reservation.
Couldn t pick up documents myself so I called before and have them tell me what my husband needs in order to pick it up for me. Prepared everything exactly as told. Once my husband arrived he was very rudely told it s not enough, Eventhough they still handed him out my document. After that he was told next time to come pick up at 11:30. please give the information over the phone correctly.
If you need to pay, bring cash! Creditcard works too but it has to be under your name. No phone or smartwatch allowed.
