Donuts are always good, ive been coming here for years. I don't why, its mainly due to location. I swear every single time ive been here the women working always have a rude and off putting attitude, i think thats why the business is slowly dying. I feel like a nuesance every time i come in.
Trenton landmark. Elliott's has been in Trenton over 80 years. The Oreo Long John was fabulous.
When you go in there and ask about the ingredients used because of food allergies and the rude person behind the counter can't be bothered to find out I will never go back.
The sugar cookie was stale and costumer service was kinda rude and standoff-ish. We asked for coffee it's 4:30 and she says we are closing.
On the other hand the chocolate chip cookie was good.
Good food, good meat, nice selection of high end packaged products, beer, and wine.
Even though I grew up in the area, I only discovered Elliot's in the last few years. Did no one in my family like doughnuts when I was a kid? Because this place has the best. Now, no trip Downriver is complete without an open face cherry jelly doughnut.
Chris & company keeping a tradition alive! Still make that unique round ( mild) cheese bread; seasonal iced cutout cookies, THE ABSOLUTE BEST CINNAMON ROLL you will find! No raisins, no weird ingredients, just plenty of good real, gooey cinnamon & plenty of icing- YUMM! They also have good donut selection, those old fashioned butter cookies, other cookies, breads, pastries,etc And can bake you a cake as well! Try em, you'l like em!
Elliotts is a great place to get together with friends and I always seem to run into somebody that I m just delighted to see! I am thoroughly enjoying the loaf of pumpkin bread I picked up yesterday. I m going back in this week to get another!
Their home made doughnuts are delicious beyond any doughnutd made in the downriver area. To add they actually have apple slices in their apple fritters and their creme sticks are filled from both ends.
Not as good as before never what the price might be .

Get donuts there every Friday and since new owners have taken over they were delicious at first and now they are to large and undercooked. Raw inside. Hope you can make some improvements.
Elliott's is a family fave. Great owners and staff. Delicious cookies, cakes and pies and even little dog treats for our pup. We've been coming here for years and will continue to.
This place has been around for awhile and is a testament to how small businesses should be run. Elliott's never ceases to be an awesome place for a coffee and a doughnut, and is a real piece of downtown Trenton to which everyone should have the privilege of going.
Picked up some kiefles to take to my doctors office, and some for ourselves they were so small and tasted like dough. I called the girl said no problem they would replace, when I was about to go pick up I called to make sure they were in separate boxes, the lady told me they would not be replacing my pastrys, then hung up on me. Sad this is how you treat long time customers. I will no longer be bringing my business there. Sad listen to your customers, that's how you grow your business. Also get add one pleasant people to work for you, not someone that will hand up the phone on you.

I visited today. Used to work for original owners years ago and everything was fresh and awesome. Today we bought one of their poppyseed rolls, a neopolitan, apple Danish, raspberry and raison donuts. All was horrible. The pastries were old and tough. The poppyseed roll was very bitter . Had to throw away everything. We will never suggest or buy anything from there again. What a rip-off and waste of good money. I was so excited visiting the old neighborhood...but soooo disappointed. I miss Violet and her parents baking back in the days.

Good stuff, go early in the day for best variety. Very old established bakery with new owners. Daily baked specialities are very good.
Stopped in last Saturday and was very disappointed. The sugar cookies used to be my family and friends favorite cookies. They are not the same under the new owners. They are now weirdly thick, and barely had any taste. I didn t see any donuts and the cases were very empty. The raspberry currants were good though.

I love love love the raspberry current cookies they are the best best best.. I m not a donut person.. but I went to a brunch that was serving the sugary delights,I believe they are under new ownership and let me tell you there was a difference. The sweet aroma was irresistible and the taste ,yummm melted in my mouth..worth a second look.
Old style bakery that is still doing well. Nothing like this near where I live now. I try to come here whenever I am in town.

Great old fashioned donuts. It's like stepping into a time capsule.
Family has been coming hear for years so My wife and I decided to try it out. We purchased a Dutch apple pie and when we got home it wasnt cooked. Called back and was told to bring it in but wasn t able to make for a couple of days. When my wife went to return it she was told they will never exchange a pie for us again. She was rude and dismissive. They wouldn t even look in the box and look at the pie. Won t be back but you should look at your pie before you leave.

The donuts I got were good. But the 2 times I've been there, the employee was rude and seemed annoyed by us. The cases were pretty empty and it was noon, if you are open til 6 it seems that maybe you should make more. I was told if I want anything I need to order it or be there early. I dont live by there but heard it was good so I stopped in. (I had hoped the 2nd time there would be more since I went earlier than the 1st time) I doubt I'll ever try again

EVERYTHING was hard and stale. Will never waste my time again .Sugar cookies, raspberry currant cookies , peanut butter and oatmeal raisin were so hard they wouldn t break in half. Returned cookies and spoke to owner, she did nothing . Definitely never reattempting this place. Going straight to promenade.

Best around ! Old school vibe makes it even better. Daughter and the wife love the before school trips, something she loves and will never forget.
