One of my favourite parts of my visit to amsterdam, staff was extremely friendly and didnt mind us having a look around and took time to tell us about the place. Can see it's difficult for them as having work done but really enjoyed my time there x

Amazing experience is finding in the very centre of the city such an old style, inspiring riding school. You can relax, sip your cup of tea and watch riders just up above the arena. If you like horses, don't miss it

I also ride there and it is super fun and the horses have boxes and the ponies and most ponies and horses are super sweet. Only it is a pity that there are no pastures because the ponies and horses can graze there and that is a pity

People are so friendly, and the building is veeeery beautiful, but that is all! It is old, the horses never go out in the street, they don't have a paddock or something, they are dirty and kept without shavings, just on straw... many of horses are just tied all the time... don't go there if you love horses.

The Hollandsche Manege is a jewel in the city! Here you will learn how to handle the horse from A-Z. Who knows, we might need this knowledge soon - if no more cars are allowed in the city, we will go on horseback!

A manage with an edge, a very nasty edge.

A manage with an edge, a very nasty edge.
It is impossible for horses to be in a stable for their entire lives, to be packed with saddles and not to have pasture.
This certainly does not concern horse lovers.

The Hollandse Manege is a shame for the welfare of animals.
How sad and so sad that this is done to horses, bad.
All horses to the pasture!

Beautiful property! But what a sad sight those horses there! Like to see such special animals in a better environment. Which fits better with their natural instinct. This is really pathetic.

Everyone very friendly. Yes, there is a need for renovation and those who have complained about it need to maybe make a donation for those renovations. I was allowed to go through stable and pet horses when in States it would have been prohibited. Beautiful location and makes me wonder what it must have been like when horses not cars ruled our cities. Yes it smells old but that is history. Yes it smells of horses but it is a stable. If you are a true horse lover and rider you will respect and appreciate.

As a tourist destination this is an interesting find. Tucked away right beside Vondelpark, wonderful architecture, there's lots of history here including a cafe on the second floor (that Mozart once performed at) which overlooks the horse riding area. Call or email ahead of time and to time your visit with a scheduled ride/practise to watch

Not worth the effort to visit. Only the beauty of it was the history and everything seen in 30 minutes. For me, friendliness was far, only kindness at the checkout. Certainly wait 20 minutes until she ordered us. Nobody just left again. A huge disappointment of our trip. Expected more.

Visit in the morning when they go out to train
A building with its baroque style and a good coffee on the top floor where the balcony is to see the track

It does not cost the entrance and you are welcome they are very kind

Although I have had a good experience (hospitable, lovely horses, beautiful environment) with driving through ASR Blok, I still think this is not entirely of this time. The same applies to the way of driving. There should be at least something of spout / paddock; there are too many horses on too little land. Despite good intentions and cultural heritage, it no longer fits with the 21st century to keep so many horses on such a small piece of land in the middle of the city. And unfortunately you would have to conclude that it is no longer feasible.

We have been coming there weekly for a long time. We have previously been to two other riding schools in Noord-Holland, we are staying at the Hollandse Manege. Fun, educational lessons. Sweet, healthy, stressed horses / ponies. And now that the building is being renovated, it will be even more fun to drive there. My advice; are you looking for a riding school take a look here!

The manage is one of the most beautiful places in Amsterdam. The professional and friendly staff deal with the horses with a lot of knowledge and love. This is truly a gem in this city!

The riding school houses a small collection of historical exhibits. Otherwise you can visit the historic building and the stables as well as the horses. The staff is very nice and happy to provide information.
With the entrance fee you support the preservation of the building - besides, a hot drink is included in the cafe - visit the gallery!

After all, a tea or coffee was included in the entrance fee, that was the only good thing.
The building is in need of renovation, the attitude of the horses is appalling. I really hope that they only stay connected during the day and that their real home is somewhere else, but there is no information about that.
Definitely disappointing and not recommended
