The Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, is a public university located in Jodhpur in the state of Rajasthan in India. Nice campus but still in under construction. Loved it.

Poor social life...even not a good resource of food here

One of the modern campuses of 2008 founded IITs with amazing infrastructure coming up but you won't find it compared to old 7 IITs yet.
Special part is campus will be way cooler than nearby desert landscape.

Hello everyone it was my best experience in IIT Jodhpur 413 verification at 30 date and there is construct constructing in the campus there was a lot of hostels and nice facilities for the parents and guardians come here so please come here and visit

It's a good place to visit but will be more after construction...no proper market or shops nearby...took me so long to visit inside...n to search for proper food!!! I have to go to 2-3 Kms away on NH-65 to have some good stuff still didn't find that.

A new institute of technology starting in India in 2010 s should reflect on the way technical education has been conducted in the country since the country s independence (accentuate the strengths and eliminate the weaknesses therein), and make new beginnings on a number of fronts that remained unaddressed in the Institutes in the past. This is the precise recipe that we followed at IIT Jodhpur over the past year to cast the master plan of the Institute s academic (and infrastructure) development. Started in 2008-09 with 7 other new IITs, IIT Jodhpur has had the courage to experiment new models of building a technical institute; yes, some worked well and others did not. 1. Sectoral Technology Institute
IIT Jodhpur is on a steep development agenda. In the initial years, we are establishing the basics of a Technology Institute with strong teaching and research focus. In the next few years, the institute has set itself the goal of growing in to a Sectoral Technology Institute with strong industrial research, but with limited technology focus areas, like energy and fuels, critical technologies, water, automotives and transport, and healthcare. Jodhpur (IIT Jodhpur or ITJ), is a public university located in Jodhpur in the state of Rajasthan in India.
It is one of the eight new Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India under The Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 2011 which declares these eight IITs as well as the conversion of the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University to llT The Act was passed in the Lok Sabha on 24 March 2011[3] and by the Rajya Sabha on 30 April 2012 Permanent campus Edit ITJ will be located about 24 km from Jodhpur city on National Highway 65 which connects Jodhpur to Nagaur.
The site spans over 852 acres (3.45 km2) of land around Jhipasni and Gharao villages.

The foundation stone for the permanent campus was laid on 16 April, 2013 by then Union Minister for Human Resources Development, Dr. M. M. Pallam Raju.
The permanent campus is being built on a self-sustainable model, catering for its own energy and water requirements. IIT jodhpur is no. 10th IIT in India with good facilities

A great institute to be a part of in india.
All the building architecture is very different and resembles very closely to monumental architecture.

Students confort is taken care off really considering the hot weather at this place in summer, as every hostel room of this campus has split ac.

The only thing that wasnt favourable for me during my visit to this place was the cold and too much fluctuations between day and night temperature.

Very good campus IIT Jodhpur is good in every aspect.
