Great time, boats are a little slow and hard to steer but that's ok when your just cruzing around the lake.

Took two hours on a Saturday evening and picnicked on the Joan Arc with family and friends. The staff are nice and we would go back again.

Online reservation system is seamless. The boat goes surprisingly "fast" for being electric. Everyone on staff was friendly. The cheese plate and charcuterie board was very delicious. And the safety video they make the driver watch was a good balance of humor and informative. Thanks so much!! We will definitely do this again.

These guys were awesome. We popped in, unannounced, a few hours before closing. My boyfriend and I wanted one of their less expensive boats but the owner was hesitant because it'd already been taken out that day (and may not have been fully charged). They gave us a much nicer boat at the price of the original, which was more than a 50% discount, which was awesome because they seemed to make the change for our safety/convenience, and they're really reasonably priced to begin with.

Everyone was extremely friendly and charismatic- very welcoming. We were lucky enough to take "everyone's favorite", the Johnny 5, and we had a marvelous time! She/he was easy to steer, relatively silent, and had a stereo/aux system and movable table with cupholders.

I really appreciated how they didn't make us pay for an hour and a half of sailing time because of some half hour orientation, as I've experienced with other companies. We got a five minute easy-to-understand rundown before the clock started, and they were somewhat flexible with the return time as well. This makes me feel like they're an honest company.

Wouldn't recommend anyone else!! Definitely going again.

Update: Been at least a dozen times since then! Still an awesome company.

We had a corporate event here and everyone had a blast. Exceptional service and 10/10 fun.

Played the scavenger hunt game for a work morale event and it was great!

The boats are cool and kind of nice but their scavenger hunt questions are sooo dull mostly about the city or things that no one cares about.

We have been wanting to rent a boat for a while, and Electric Boat Company did not disappoint! If your looking for a speed boat experience, this is not for you. These boats are designed for slowly cruising Lake Union. Our crew of 6 had a great time. We packed our own lunch and played our own music. So many awesome boats to look at, as well as boat houses! We had a great time picking our our dream boats and houses. Two hours was just the perfect amount of time to cruise the majority of the lake. This would be a great activity for guests since it offers great views of downtown Seattle. We will definitely be doing this again!

Awesome experience, I went with my coworkers as a team event, and everyone had a great time, I was a little worried that we had no member of their crew with us to help us navigate the boat, but after a small rough start the guy navigating the boat understood how to do it better.

Fun, for a group, but a little pricey, you need at least 2 hours on the lake.

We went on a 2-hour cruise with friends. The boats are easy to operate and you have plenty of time to explore all of Lake Union including the Mountlake cut and the locks. Pack your picnic lunch and beverages for this unique experience.

Really wonderful time on their electric boat. Easy maneuvering, quiet (unless you're blasting music over the speakers, like we were), and so much fun. Staff was unexpectedly friendly.

If you would have told me that I would have liked going around lake Union on an electric boat, I would have told you that you were crazy. I relented and went with friends. We took snacks and beer. What an awesome time. We drove around the Lake and hand an absolute blast. Boat was clean and ran great. We got to see the Deadliest Catch fleet and all of the local float houses. Worth doing a 2nd time.

The deck staff was awesome, very helpful and polite/patient. The boat was very nice and perfect for just chilling with 9 people on the lake. The booking process is what takes off a star. They charge a $4 booking fee, which is 100% bogus. You are already charging me $200 + tax for the boat rental, you need to throw on $4 for the heck of it?

They also slid on a $25 "optional damage waiver," (think rental car insurance, but if they did not ask you and just tried to charge you.) I was shocked by the cost of booking the boat the day of and asked why it was so high. They then revealed that extra cost and I made them take it off. I wonder how many people just pay that?

Over all a fun experience and actually very cost effective if you fill up the boat, just don't let them jack you around with their bogus fees.

Fun activity to do with friends that are local, or touring from out of town.

We had a fun time with the donut and a couple of kids for my son's birthday. It goes go pretty slowly and once you settle in and take in the beauty, it's all good. Make sure they provide a ladder if you
are planning to get into the water. Pretty awkward otherwise. The Bluetooth speaker was not working or charged and that was slightly annoying. Fun time had by all. I should add that the staff was very friendly and easy to work with. I'm sure if we had noticed the ladder or Bluetooth it would have been taken care of before we embarked on our adventure.

Maegin was awesome as was the boat and the facilities. My family had gather in Seattle from New York, California and Taiwan, we are a wide variety of ages and everyone from 2 to 75 throughly enjoyed every moment. It was definitely the highlight of our trip.

Fun place to boat around Lake Union with a group, but it's very popular in the summer. Expect to wait 30 minutes after your reservation time to get on the boat.

We rented an electric boat for my brother's bachelor party! It was an awesome way to spend time on Lake Union on a sunny day. Boats are easy to drive and pretty fun. If you're worried about getting wet, don't be, it's practically impossible

Had a great graduation celebration covid style with no crowds on a beautiful day. The staff at Electric boat company were great. The boat was super clean and I'd highly recommend doing this. We will be back.

Had a wonderful experience with our families (we rented 2 boats). The gentleman who was working on Sunday January 26th took a great care of our large group!
The boats are warm - they have plastic panels/windows that can be put on to prevent wind.. they also offered heaters and blankets.

We got the groupon deal.. half off during the low season.

Their boats are so much fun. Lets you take in sights you just can't get from land. Highly recommend boating over to Ivars, tie up to their dock and get Fish and Chips! Because their boats are fully enclosed and heated, you can go out in any weather and still have a great time!

Get a group of friends and go putt around lake union for a few hours. It's a fantastic way to spend a beautiful day and the staff are phenomenal.

Great boat rental. Tyler was awesome, got us set up and off without a hitch. Nice 2 hr jaunt around Lake Union, over to Ballard, Gas Works, nice views, easy to operate. Will do it again.

Highly recommend taking a electric boat around lake Union, with spectacular views of the surrounding Seattle area including the Space Needle, sleepless in Seattle houseboats, Gasworks park and Queen Anne it's a must do for locals and tourists alike! You watch a 5 min video and you can captain this electric boat yourself. Bring drinks, food and music for the bluetooth connection and you're set for an amazing excursion...2 hours is almost not enough time.

We rented both a 10 person big boat and q donut boat one week apart. Both were great in their own way. The big boat allows you to explore SLU while the donut boat forces you to slow down and take it easy. We loved it.

We go pretty often...great way to show guests a view of Seattle from the water- while enjoying a cocktail and appetizers!

$20/hr for a paddle board was a bit high. 2 people can be $100 pretty quick. Boards were different than the better boards.

Really fun team building experience, or just getting family or friends together for an evening cruise. You supply your own food and beverages. A reasonably priced activity.

There are few places that you get such a great experience for such a reasonable cost. Staff is so lovely and efficient. Views are unparalleled. And spending a couple hours on the water with friends and family is simply priceless. We try to do this a couple times a year, at least!

This was a super fun few hours for my family and a perfect socially distanced activity. Easy reservations and check-in, almost no wait time. BYO food and drink.

Boats are great for the rate and simple to use. Both times I ve been here they were running 20-40 minutes behind schedule on the rental. I thinks it s just cumulative build up from people turning it in late so maybe out of their hands but still.

Good relaxed time. Staff kept it fun, just enough constraints to keep it safe.

Great boats, awesome time on lake Union! Keep in mind that the website only lets you reserve 2 hours at a time, so if you want longer, you have to call them (well in advance)! In the summer, they only do reservations in 2 hour increments.

Went with a group on one of the electric boats around Lake Union. Two hours went quickly. The boats are not super quick, but were stable and seemed easy to drive. They're also nice and quiet so we didn't have to talk over a loud gas motor.
