I enjoyed my stay here! I found myself unexpectedly in Reno on a Tuesday, and was able to get a 2 bed premium room for less than $100 total. The room was very clean and spacious, and quiet though close to the elevators. The hotel itself of course also has a large casino (though I've always preferred the gaming at the next door Silver Legacy and Circus Circus more), and the Roxy restaurant was a great spot for a nice dinner with an old fashioned vibe. No complaints!

Tons of fun. Super responsive staff. Rooms are decent for the cost. We had fun. The lobby is beautiful and the food is amazing! My husband and I had a wonderful time with some of closest friends! My husband is looking mighty fine in his new cowboy hat!
They have a Starbucks on site! That couts as extra points. The restaurants are top notch. Of course the main attraction is the casino. Love the decor. Not much activities for kids though.
Our room (a suite) smelled of smoke and musty, old apt. Bleck. Sheets didn't even smell clean and fresh. We upgraded to a suite with a jacuzzi for our 3 yr anniversary. The shower/toilet area is so claustrophobic. All of the furnishings, wallpaper, drapes, tile and gross carpets must be at least 30 yrs old. It was like the twilight zone on the entire property. Old, hideous decor, 80s music, poor service at the front desk. And the list goes on. (When I attempted to provide the front desk manager the feedback in a professional way, she could have cared less.) It was very clear they don't care about the guest's experience. Went to ichiban for dinner and they packed people around every tepanyaki table with no masks, everyone talking and eating. The chef pulled his mask down to verify orders and never pulled it back up. So he was cooking and talking the entire time with no mask. Not OK. I'm simply trying to not get sick or get my kids sick. I took my dinner up to my room in a to go box and kept my mask on. Apparently there are no social distancing guidelines at this time in Nevada, per hostess at the restaurant. OK then. Really disappointing. On a positive note, the spa at silver legacy was FABULOUS.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at the El Dorado. Lobby is a little dated but it's what we expected for a casino. Check in was quick!
We stayed Sept 10-12, 2021 in a 2 queen non smoking room on the 8th floor. Room was nice! Modern furnishings. No strong smells. Paper thin walls like most hotels. You can hear lots of guests letting their doors slam behind them in the morning. Beds were okay...I never sleep very well in a hotel anyway.
Bathroom also nice. I liked the lighted mirror. My biggest compliant with the room is lack of vent/fan in the bathroom. Why doesn't it have one???
Casino was fun! We loved being able to hop between the 3 casinos on the row. My daughter was happy with her winnings. I spent too much but also had fun playing the slots.
This morning on our day of checkout, we needed toilet paper and water. We are talking 7:15ish...checkout is at 12. I messaged the concierge who said housekeeping would bring those items up shortly. After an hour I messaged back letting them know it hadn't shown up. I'm told they would be called again. 40 minutes later the toilet paper arrived but no water. That experience was the 1 negative but everything else was good.
I will definitely stay here in the future. Hoping for early next year.
Enjoyed playing blackjack here! Met some great people at the table and it was 2 deck! Great service by the waitress with the drinks. I also enjoyed a burger and fries which were delicious! If your looking for a place in Reno to play some card games, meet some people who know how to play, and get some good food this is the place for you! Go looking to enjoy yourself and to have a good time! Bring a chill vibe and you'll enjoy! I know I did and I wasn't disappointed!
Not a bad spot, it's connected to silver legacy and further down circus circus. Has a few nice restaurants inside. Not much of a gambler anymore but looked about the same as the other ones.
Walked all the way into the buffet to find out it was closed! Couldn't put up a sign? I won't be back, because Atlantis buffet was open! And guess what? It's better!
