Overpriced. Worst empanadas I have ever tried in the Bay Area. Go to chalos , way better empanadas and not expensive.
I m from Argentina.

I literally have dreams about a champinones empanada I had here - that's how good it was. Decent selection of vegetarian options and flaky, flavorful, nearly perfect pastry. And the location! Dropping into the ferry building and grabbing one (or two or three) hot empanadas is borderline magical.
Completely overpriced!
Those are not Argentinian empanadas, the worst empanadas I've ever had!
What a place, when for a morning coffee and find this amazing coffee shop. Totally retro and old fashioned, the Empanadas where so good, and you must also try the house made alfajores. The store is inside the market place and it is the perfect way to start a morning in San Francisco
My favorite empanadas in the city!!! The difference that I find compare to other places is that, they add very generous amount of their delicious fillings which makes it sooo tasty. I love both sweet and savory options. My favorites are: Champinones, Pollo and Manzana.
As an Argentine, I have really high standards when it comes to empanadas. Well my needs were met at this spot because it is SO GOOD. If I lived in San Francisco I d by dozens on a weekly basis.
Always good. They have specials and I went on the day they had a lamb one which was awesome. They re a bit rich so you can probably get away with just two. Banana empanada is a must try.
One of the best places to eat in the area. I always get 1 apple empenada when I am in the ferry building. Definitely check what they have before youre married to the idea of going there cause they run out !
We purchased a Camaeron (shrimp) and chicken empanada. The shrimp was delicious o.m.g
The chicken was a little dry, but my hubby went back and got the shrimp one too, and I got another one too
Would definitely go again. and try something new too
Although they offer vegetarian options, the empanadas feel inadequate with barely any stuffing. Underwhelming and massively overpriced, at least the vegetarian options.
PS. Having eaten some authentic Argentinian empanadas in Texas, this place left me feeling disappointed, although I really wanted to like it.
