El Matador Review

It was small but very well kept. The pools were lovely easy access to the beach was magnificent. They sunsets and moon sets were beautiful . Kelly and Sean were magnificent hosts.

Very nice place to visit. This was our first time at El Matador and will definitely be back. Thanks for a great vacation stay.

Amazing place for a family vacation. Have been going for 16 years. Hope to someday own a unit here.

We stayed in building #6, everything was great except for it being a little noisy in the mornings since the unit is located next to the grounds maintenance area. Workers were a little loud. But besides that, beautiful beach, good fishing in a kayak and the Marina in Destin and pier were very nice. Lots of restaurants and beautiful views. Will definitely come back, but next time will try to get a waterfront rental in building #1 or #2.

This was a wonderful place to stay during our week stay! Beautiful views of the golf, clean property, clean pool and our rooms were very nice an spacious for a family of 6! One of the elevator wasn t working right the whole time but other than that this place was amazing! Highly recommend! Great price for the beautiful beach view and access! By far the best beach we experienced while in Destin an fort Walton! Will be back!

NOT SAFE. No deadbolt on front door, and sliding glass door would not lock. We informed management and they put in a work request but no one ever came to fix the lock. They did provide a stick to lay in the track of the sliding door. High tech. Not what I would expect for $300 per night plus fees.
Everything was very very basic. Only the cheapest of flooring, bedding and furniture here. I guess if you don t expect much or you re a drunk spring breaker then this place is perfect. Notice the light coming through the front door because it doesn t seal/ shut correctly.

Last place on commercial Beach walk west 100 yds nobody there place is clean and kept up

We have stayed twice and both units have been nice. I prefer building 3 over building 4 but both have great views. The only down side was the elevator, two or three times we had to get off of it because it was not operating correctly. The beach is beautiful and the guys running the chair and umbrella operation were great.
