Stopped in for the first time for a carry out order. They specially made what my son requested: a chicken quesadilla with cheese & cilantro, rice on the side. He is very picky about certain foods, yet said it was the best quesadilla he d ever eaten(he s eaten many)! That s an amazing comment from my son. I ordered the chopped salad with added shrimp. My only complaints are that 5.00 extra for 5 small shrimp seems pricey plus I didn t get enough dressing for the entire(large) salad. Otherwise, delicious & more than enough. I will return, as will my son. Thank you

I love tacos, love em. I was very excited for this place to open. But I left quite disappointed. It seemed like this place was built to make money, and not good food.

-Queso seemed store bought.
-Their hot sauce selection was poor.
-Salsa was good, but they only had one kind.
-Not enough fish on taco, I couldn t really taste it.
-Cauliflower taco had a bunch of small tomato chunks on it, and that was listed on the menu. So my partner was bummed having to pick through those. So simple menu fix.
-Chicken Taco was dry, they need to add some kind of sauce to it. If there was sauce on it, I couldn t taste it.

I didn t try their margaritas

Best decor and atmosphere of any Mexican place I've been to in the states - went for lunch, but anxious to check out again at night. As for the food, while the guacamole was merely above average, the salsa was EXCELLENT 10/10 and the roasted cauliflower tacos set a new standard, unparalleled (I'm normally a burrito or nothing guy, but these have changed my mind). Friendly staff, excellent service, instant iconic status this place, wow. Not too far off I-96 - I'll be back!

Ordered 2 tacos from the Taco Window. The service was good and the tacos were delicious! The $5 tacos were just a bit spendy for me, but they did come with extra toppings that normal tacos wouldn't have.

Was extremely excited to try this place out as I heard great things. This was my wife and I first night out as we just had a baby, only once we got there, to get turned away the second we showed up. We got there at 8:57pm and online it says they close at 10pm on Thursdays. Only to find out after we drove all the way here that they close the kitchen 1 hour before.

Being in hospitality business, I understand closely kitchen down early, but then on your google hours and facebook it should be clearly stating you close that far ahead then what you advertise so your customers are aware.

Based on this alone, I am extremely disappointed by this and wont be returning.

Store bought chips and salsa and queso come on this is not Taco Bell you can do better. We had high expectations for this place because we heard it was run by / owned another favorite restaurant of ours in town. The ceviche we had was just terrible. The on tap beer selection was limited. If you want great tacos and craft beer try Go Taco in Pinckney.

Stopped by the window and ordered 3 different tacos for my wife and I to try. Had Al Pastor, Chorizo and Bistek. Unfortunately all lacked flavor. While the al pastor had pork, pineapple and onion like an authentic version it was basically plain tasting shredded pork with pineapple and did not taste anything like a true al pastor which is my favorite taco. The chorizo lacked the chorizo flavor I was expecting and the bistek was ok.
Service was extremely polite, friendly and quick. Hoping the tacos are just a sign of starting off as we have been looking forward to this for months. We will definitely return to try other dishes and dine in but we are hoping the flavors become a little more bold.

It's a fun place... Most everything is served ala carte so add on's do add up. The seating at least down stairs isn't all that comfortable... But if your in the area craving Mexican for sure check it out...

Gourmet street tacos, need I say more? I will. This place exemplifies consistent, innovative and exceptional food. From a foodie and former restaurant guy, this place is a must visit. Throw in the tamales and chicharrones and you will find the best Mexican food within 100 miles. Now if I could just find a way to move in and be their food taster...

Only open a couple weeks... definitely come check them out!! Vela margarita was good, a little shy with the grand marnier. Ordered the salsa trio, very authentic salsa! But super lame tortilla chips. Tasted like they came from a bag. Had higher hopes for fresh made chips at a Taqueria. Staff was very friendly, however we sat at the bar and had to continually ask for another drink. We were never asked first by a bartender (and there were 3). Nothing more frustrating at a bar than when they re more concerned with cleaning or washing dishes rather than interacting with customers. Get a dedicated barback so your bartenders can BAR-TEND!! Lastly, it was extremely warm inside. 86 degrees outside so we came in to cool off with margaritas & A/C but wasn t very cool. Overall however, we WILL be back.

This is a new restaurant in Brighton, MI and a very nice place to eat. I ordered a salad that was so big, I took half home! And it was delicious! This place is related to The Wooden Spoon, and we also LOVE that restaurant!

Every taco they offer is delicious. Convenient walk-up window. Located right in the heart of Brighton. Try the margaritas too, the Vela is on point. Wonderful smiling staff, host and food runner, our waitress was very attentive. Will be back soon!

I cannot speak highly enough of this place. As someone who lived in Austin, I know how hard it is to find half way decent mexican food in the whitest place in america. This place is legit! Their salsa, queso and guacamole are amazing. I was pleasantly surprised by the guac, which was bright and light. We had 6 of their tacos, and each one was delicious. My only criticism was that they used this mango pico on like every taco. maybe we just got the luck of the draw, but it was still good. We also got the pickled jalapenos and grilled jalapenos, which were incredible! If you like spicy, you have to order these!! The top shelf margaritas were awesome and well made. Overall, cannot wait to go again!

The place is really colorful, and they have a wide selection of tequila and margaritas, the service was good, we sat at the bar and have a drink and then we decided to try the tacos, we were a little desapointed that the tacos were cold, the tacos are expensive and the drinks too.
