This might be the best library I've ever been to. Everyone is helpful and friendly, they have awesome activities, the resources (computers and whatnot) are up-to-date. I wish they had more parking because the lot is always full, but that just shows how much people love this place.

Eisenhower library is the hub for the communities of Harwood Heights & Norridge, as well as having a reciprocal borrowing program with Chicago Public Library card holders (and possibly other communities). The diverse events & programs that are offered range from traditional book clubs to unique experiences in art, travel, crafts, exercise and more. The library staff are helpful and knowledgeable. There are study rooms for tutoring or group study sessions. The Children s department is lively and engaging because it fosters reading, listening, playing, talking, sharing, discussing, etc ... about the interests of children among and between children and adults. It is separated by glass and doors and located off the main lobby; where many people gather in a warm and welcoming environment. There are quiet spaces in the adult sections. Patrons can bring ear plugs or headphones if they are sensitive to noise in public areas. I believe the days are gone of librarians shhhing the patrons. I am grateful for this positive hard-working community resource.

It's closed but they still have books for trade on the tables outside. Proud home of the sexiest librarian of all time. Andrea. I miss you. I will always love you. I hope that you're doing great!

This library is very modern with helpful, professional staff. I am able to reserve books without any issues. I live in Chicago -- less than 2 miles away from this particular library. The staff is knowledgeable, nice and always go the extra mile. Since I don't live in Harwood Heights I don't get priority on reserved books. My favorite authors are Patterson, Grishman and Balducci. There are 2 drop off boxes for book returns. One is located in the side/rear and you don't need to leave your vehicle. There's a nice selection of videos. The parking lot is large. The washroom is always clean. They have a coffee shop. I don't drink coffee or tea so I don't know how good or bad their products are.
