First time dining @ Eiko's and we enjoyed it. We didn't have dinner reservations and probably waited 10 mins for a table.

We ordered the bento box, seafood & vegetable tempura, chicken teriyaki and 1 of their signature sushi rolls the New Zealand, which has Maguro, Freshwater Eel, Topped with Avocado, Daikon Sprouts, and Eel Sauce.

The table service was quick and the waiters were very helpful since this was our first time here. If we're ever in the neighborhood we would visit again.

The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because of the service when we arrived. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. However, the waiter took a while to come and get our simple drink orders and we only ordered wine and sake so it wasn't anything complicated. It took so long for it to come out, and not even water in the meantime that when the manager was "doing the rounds" he asked us how everything was and we told him it had been at least 15 minutes and he hasn't brought our drinks let alone take our order. The server was pretty snippy after that. It isn't our fault you took so long! But as the night progressed he got a bit nicer. Aside from that I have no complaints! The food was amazing!!! The portions were large and well priced. We ended up having a great time after the long delay snafu in the beginning. Aside from that, they are five stars!!

Terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the 2nd time we ve tried to eat at this available restaurant. First time, they told us they were available for outdoor dining and when we showed up for our reservation, they were extremely rude and told us they were an ONLY takeout restaurant.
Next time we went to Napa we were with a group of 7 and we called 5+ restaurants in downtown Napa to see if they could accommodate. After many restaurants saying that they could not, Eiko s said that they could. Again, they lied. We show up and they try to seat us at a 4 top and a 3 top separated by a glass wall covering and are told this is what we told you on the phone a month ago . The manager proceeds to tell me that any tables that could nicely accommodate a separates 7 top were reserved and this is all he had. All these guys on the patio have reservations . Granted, we made this reservation a month ago and he is the manager. Long story short, he told us our business was no need to his restaurant so we left. Do not go this establishment unless you want the WORST customer service you ll ever receive.

I went here on Friday night and was beyond impressed! We sat in the bar/lounge area to the left hand side and loved everything about it. We had a Hawaiian bartender who knew the menu inside and out, gave us a lot of suggestions based off our taste buds and allergies as well as good Sake to pair it with. Every time we made eye contact with him, he was ready to help us.

We got the Spider Roll and a fancy Salmon roll and thought it was some of the best sushi we've ever had! We definitely want to come back here and try other menu options since we were so impressed.

Also, if you're looking for a bar to stop and have a drink at before you head elsewhere, you should check out the lounge area here!

My wife and I planned our Napa trip months ago. One of the things we always try to do on the west coast is get seafood and sushi. We looked up sushi joints in Napa and were impressed with the reviews for this place and decided to get a reservation. We planned our entire day around this meal. When we arrived it started out good with the appetizers but quickly crashed when our sushi rolls arrived. The rice was thick and so sticky you had trouble chewing and swallowing. It didn t have that typical sushi rice taste (sushi vinegar). I looked behind the counter and saw one of those machines that supermarkets use to make sushi. The kind that prints out the rice in to the seaweed. It s a shame because the fish was good and the sauces were solid. If you don t care about quality and just want a snack, check this place out. If you like quality seafood or sushi, I definitely recommend going somewhere else!

I will say the staff were friendly. I have no complaints about their professionalism.

Thank you!

They were no tables available when we first got there. So we were offered to sit on the patio where we had ONE drink while waited for our table. We waited over 1 1/2 hs. and we're NEVER offered anything else. We spoke and wait to the staff 2 times about our wait. I finally got tired after almost 2 hours and brought us back to the front (reception area) we were tod nothing was available BUT while we stood there 2 parties that just walked in there and the receptionist asked to the other people how many in their party, and were immediately seated. After this happened 2 times I walked out but my daughter who had her heart set on eating there cried. We went back in and I complained and was told others before us had reservations. This was not so because I HEARD THEM BEING ASKED AS THEY ARRIVED HOW MANY IN THEIR PARTY and then they were seated. They hostesses LIED to us. After waiting another 15 minutes, we were seated. The hostess threw the menus at us saying: "here, here, here" she did not do this to my young child though. We ordered our food but were NEVER offered anything to drink. Our food was served but NEVER did a server come back to us asking how we were doing or if we needed anything. My husband left after a few bites of food as he felt ill. My daughter in law and I, had a taste of his food which was EXTREMELY salty. My daughter in law ended up running to the restroom feeling ill herself. When she returned, she noted that there, was not paper towels or toilet paper available in the restroom. We then decided to leave and my daughter in law was so disappointed and I feelling we felt iut food and service was a disaster and not worthy. Yes, we walked out without paying. WHY????? Terrible service, food ", disrespect, discriminatory. Why? Because we weren't to ghier standards?? I wore a tye dyed tshirt, my husband was unshaven and we didn't fit in???.... Shame on you EIKOS for employing such snobs. You know nothing about us and to have been trays the way we were....was unsatisfactory. And that JAPANESE restaurant plays music by The Beatles and serves Mexican ceviche that can be bought at the local store for $8.... Get real.... Who are the real snobs just because you are in Napa????... BTW, the menu outside says different prices, cheaper, than the real menu inside.

Fun time with party of three, arrived 5:30 pm with a prior reservation, had informed them had a Birthday person within our group. Most importantly, there was no rush, sat by a window table, began with adult beverages of sake, martinis, white wine, the wine was priced higher than its quality...appetizer of tempura string beans was the bomb! Main dishes were fine, including sushi. Some what on the higher priced for what was served, but good. Nice touch was the surprise serving of three slices of cheese cakes with three spoons! While I enjoy Japanese cuisine, this was some what more designed for the American palate. I have enclosed photos featuring the dishes and environment.

Amazing wagyu nigiri special. Fresh salmon and yellowtail sashimi. Civeche wasn't my favorite, more of a pico overfilled with vegetables instead of a focus on the seafood and citrus flavor. Surprised by the moderate cost for such great quality.

The salad and sushi were delicious. On this visit, i would give them a fair service rating because we felt rushed, even though it wasn't extremely busy this Friday evening. For example, while we were eating our salad, having not yet placed our sushi order, or waiter came to take our meal order. Then, while we were eating our sushi, a different waiter came and asked if we wanted to have our sushi packed up, twice. It seemed out of character with the service we have had in the past. Otherwise, we enjoyed our evening out at Eikos. It would be nice if they bring back the green tea cheesecake for dessert.

Nice atmosphere, they were very busy that night, so not fast service, but very friendly and knowledgeable. We (2 of us) were happy with spending about $85 for wine, beet salad, and 3 rolls. All generously portioned and impeccably delicious. My new favorite within a 30 mile radius.

Service could have been more attentive, check in makes you feel guilty if you don't have a reservation and there are literally 4 empty tables with no one arriving until 3/4 of the way through the meal

This is a solid place given it nicely fits between the highest and lowest of price and quality points; it leans higher, but not as high as the market goes, which is good. The seafood is of good quality with a lot of offerings. The one detractor (for me specifically) is a lot of rolls with tempura or eel sauce, but everything is made to order so not a big deal. If your visiting the area, you may want to try other paces, but if you live here, this is the spot.

My wife and I visited this place for the first time in January 2021. We were celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They also gave us a dish on the house in celebration of our anniversary. What was even more enjoyable than the service was the food. So amazing! Such a great place. We'll definitely be returning!

Amazing sushi! Had a variety at our table and everyone loved all they had! The drinks were delish as well! April took care of us and she was so legit. Just an all around happy person who loved her job. Super attentive, gave great suggestions and took top notch care of us! Wish this restaurant was in Utah.

Great food, good service and a stylish atmosphere. Try the Bon Bons! They were very tasty! Also had the Octopus, Yellowfin Tuna with Jalapeno and finished with the firecracker shrimp. A few glasses of Hess Chardonnay and the night was well spent. Ken Sarna recommends Eiko's in Downtown Napa! Enjoy!

Not the friendliest place, I love sushi and for the location and price I was not super impressed. It was good but definitely not amazing. When I spend that kind of money I expect amazing or at least really good. If you are looking for a foodie experience this is probably not the place.

We just saw the review about the Owner named Allison. We couldn t agree more.
We saw Allison yelling at employees and being rude to customers.
We also witnessed her pass over a couple of African American descent for. White couple. It did not seem like a mistake. Perhaps there are bigger issues with her and her views.

The worst sushi I have tasted. The rolls are not achieved come unarmed. The vegetables are very hard. The salmon burned. It does not have flavor. And they do not have teriyaki sauce. Disappointing.

Great staff, awesome outdoor seating area, and pretty great food. It was pricey, but that is more due to the fact that my family is used to the restaurants that offer the half off rolls. Best part about this place was the kids meal chicken nuggets! Big chicken breasts cut up and tempura battered with a teriyaki sauce!

We had a great time at Happy Hour. Small plates were excellent. We had oysters, the Sanchez Roll, and ribs. Once they heard one of the party was having a birthday, they sent out a cheesecake sampler.

This downtown Napa sushi joint had all the "warning" signs of it being a sub-par Japanese restaurant bolstered by location, atmosphere and a great bar scene. These are the places you typically get below-average sushi for a ridiculous price, just because they are served in fancy plates.

Fortunately, this wasn't the case of Eiko's. The food, despite the swanky setting, was well prepared, thoughtful, and didn't veer too much into the "fusion" territory. Yes, sometimes it feels like the rolls are a bit sauce-heavy, which is never a good sign. But our family genuinely enjoyed the overall experience, especially the kids menu being deliciously classic-kids menu done Japanese style.

Obviously we sat outdoors due to COVID and the corridor between the restaurant and the pathway to the back can be a bit windy. But a small price to pay to eat some decently great sushi at a reasonable price in downtown Napa.

Pretty much everything about this restaurant was great! My fiancee and I decided to try it after receiving horrible service from another Napa sushi place, and I'm glad we did!

The food was great, the service was attentive but not overbearing, the radio/background music was great, and the decor was really nice. Prices on non-sushi items was a little steep, but the sushi was priced fairly for the quality compared to other places I have been to. 5/5 and two thumbs up!

Allison has to be the rudest person we have ever seen in a restaurant. She treats her staff like absolute slaves. She is rude to customers and tells Anyone that will listen that she is the OWNER of the restaurant.
Her staff despises her and all talk behind her back about how bad she is.
The food and the other employees are amazing. Truly great food. If it wasn t for Allison this would get 5 stars.
