Great time. Show was engaging and entertaining. There is a portion were magicians engage directly with crowd for 30 to 60 minutes. Main show was entertaining great for a group, date, or night out. Would recommend.
Been twice and love it. Had so much fun both times. Dont let this place die!!!!
We really enjoyed the two major acts. Had some fries that were very good. The rest of the menu looked really good, but we had eaten across the street at Bar Roma. There was an hour of roving magicians in the audience for an hour before the show began. Many other groups were visited by two or three magicians, but we only got one. It is a nice space. The emcee gave an interesting history of magic in Chicago.

The Chicago Magic Lounge signature show is a must experience show in Chicago. Truly one of the funniest experiences I have ever had.
A fun place to check out. The decor is really cool. The best part was walking through the entrance into the main hall (won't give away any spoilers here). The Timeless Magic Act is fun, but can get a bit long and drawn out at some points. Make sure you do your homework to find out which show you'd like to watch. As far as food/apps goes, the fries are worth getting!
Just had my first show this past Tuesday and it was an incredible experience. The magicians all do Chicago style magic, meaning close up and so close that when the trick happens you literally think your eyes deceived you. The whole experience start to finish is awesome. Highly recommend

Wow. I absolutely loved this place. The Art Deco style is gorgeous. The drinks and food were delicious. The magicians coming to your table and interacting with you is an amazing touch that makes the wait for the main show a fun experience in itself. The performers were fantastic. Pricey, but totally worth it. I m glad to have picked this place to celebrate our anniversary.

After reading the reviews and being a lover of magic i decided to go for a pre birthday celebration. I found the magic mediocre at best, i kept thinking of a magician hired for a kids party. Shout out to Jan Rose and Lucy Darling two great performers. Handsome Jack also gave a good performance although he only gave a birthday greeting to only one audience member despite their being several in the crowd. Wasn't entertaining enough to make another hour and a half drive.
This place was recommended to us by a friend during our stay in Chicago and I have to say it was one of the highlights of our trip! The art deco decor is gorgeous, the drinks perfect to the theme, and the space is intimate and cozy. We did not attend a show in the theatre but did watch and participate in the magic show at the bar, and let me just say we enjoyed every minute of it. The magician, bartender and clientele were super fun and lovely to get to know, and the tricks were mysterious and exciting to see! We loved it all and cannot wait to tell our friends and family about this unique magical experience. Next trip to Chicago we will most definitely be back!

The Chicago Magic Lounge is the coolest place in town. The magic epicenter of the Midwest. You ll see the biggest and brightest stars of magic perform here 7 days a week. But it s not just the performers. The venue itself is magical. Secrets doors and passageways. Beautiful theaters all built from the ground up just for showcasing magic. It feels like you re in another world stepping through the front door. Great food available and drinks and magic behind the bar too. You ll feel like a kid again in a place so full of wonder. Don t miss it.
Such a fun and unique experience! I have already recommended the show to several friends and would love to go again. The performers were spectacularly talented and engaging. The 654 aftershow was great as well. On this particular visit we were celebrating my girlfriend s birthday - I told the staff hoping she d get volunteered but I ended up getting roasted by the main performer. So pretty much a perfect birthday in her book lol :)
I love magic and was excited to bring my brother from out of town to experience such an amazing venue. To my dismay the experience was subpar. For one no magician came over to my table . A magician came to the table next to me and spent 15 minutes showing tricks to a group of people she knew. When I shared my dispointment to my server, a women with short hair, she became irate and almost left me in tears as I was fully embarrassed in front of my brother. Of course she does not have to give good customer service as the tip is already included in the bill. Finally the same magician came to my table and did one very fast trick and then said she needed to leave as she is only allowed to spend 5 minutes with each table. I guess she spent most of my five minutes with the table next to me. Very sad experience.

A must see if you're in Chicago. From the moment you walk in, the magic begins. Extremely unique experience for magic enthusiasts and for those who are simply curious. I have never been in a bar and magic lounge and it set the bar high. Magic is up close and interactive from the bartenders to the stage performers. Will definitely be going back next time I'm in Chicago for another one of their shows.

This place is HANDS DOWN THE FUNNEST PLACE IN CHICAGO!!!! I had an excellent night with my wife here. The food was great and reasonably priced. The up close magic guys were amazing. He put stuff in my hands and I had no clue how things have multiplied.

Really, *really* fun. I passed by it once when it was young and I headed elsewhere, but very glad I came back to see a full show. The venue isn't too large, the staff engages you before the main event, along with well-made cocktails and good appetizers. There were 2 main acts in the signature show, and their styles were pretty different, but both used plenty of good humor in their acts. As skeptical as you may be, it's impossible not to enjoy it with wonder and plenty of laughs.

Such a great time -- I can't think where I've been in this city where they find so many ways to help you have fun. Drinks, food, magicians wandering the aisles doing card tricks, doing magic at the bar, doing magic on stage, doing magic in the after-show in the back... You can spend a whole night here and see half a dozen performers all across the place, all of whom will blow your mind. And the new venue kicks ass.

Highly recommend. I've been several times for shows and casual drinks at the front bar. If you have not been then you need to go. Great place to take people visiting from out of town too.
Very unique speak-easy feeling. Love the entrance way, suddenness and a little mystery. Check it out, got an old fashioned, and bartender Jeanie was great.
We had a great time! Loved the ambiance and high ceilings. Great drinks too! We went to the Music and Magic show, and we had "up close" magicians who were really great, we especially liked Ryan. However for an establishment that serves alcohol in the "club" area, it seems irresponsible to not allow tap water to be served, and to only sell bottled water. It seems you can bring in tap water from the lobby/bar area, but only if you know to do that ahead of time.
Everything about this place is fantastic the magicians, the space, the food, the drinks. The family show is great, as is the evening show and the magic at the bar. Go.

This place is amazing - great place to bring guests or for a unique date night. I've been to the bar 5 times and it is very entertaining with great drinks and a magician performing magic! They also do bar challenges where you get a chance to try to figure out his challenges for a free drink. We also went to the Wednesday night show with David Parr and that was highly entertaining as well. The venue is also on theme with beautiful "Great Gatsby"-chic decor, a secret entrance, and plenty of vintage magic memorabilia. Note to parents: there is a matinee on Monday which kids are welcome!
If you're interested in magic, don't pass on going here! Great shows, great atmosphere. Truly a walk back in time to the old magic bars!

Took my wife here on a date and it was a tremendous experience. Great bang for your buck. We got magic while we waited in the bar, magic during the cocktail hour, two 30-minute shows than a bonus 30-minute show in an extra room. They really make sure everyone has a chance to participate in the magic with magicians walking around interacting with every customer. Would absolutely recommend and will definitely return.
A really fun concept. Much better that just grabbing a drink at the local bar. You are entertained with in person and up close magic. Check the schedule, as it varies greatly. Some shows in the bar are free and others are paid and take place in 1 of their 2 theaters.
This is one of the best places I've ever been. The staff is amazingly friendly and nice. They will pull off some GREAT tricks in front of your eyes. Lastly, they know some of the coolest Chicago history, and magic history.

An amazing place for adults to enjoy magic. None of the weird hoakiness that many have come to associate with magic restaurants. The Magic Lounge is a delight that knocked my sock off. Definitely coming back soon!
My boyfriend and I went here to celebrate his 27th birthday. We sat on the very front row. I strictly requested to be pick for one of the acts which did not happen. At the end the lady host was giving birthday shutouts and we didn't even get one. The couple next to us was celebrating a birthday too and they did get a shout out. Also, the alcohol beverages taste like straight up liquor. Obviously they are trying to get you drunk. Good magicians. All I ask is to LISTEN TO THE CUSTOMERS REQUEST!!

This place is amazing! If you even remotely enjoy magic, this should be on your list of places to visit. Pay attention to the address though as it's kind of easy to miss :) The staff is wonderful, and the drinks are yummy. The magicians are professional, entertaining and good at what they do. I highly recommend the VIP/Mezzanine package. The little extra money it costs is well worth it.
