Eetcafé Rekko - Maastricht Review

Cozy eatery at the Vrijthof. Food is tasty but not very special. Eat here with the SocialDeal voucher, nice 3-course dinner for little money. Only they let you pay a lot for the drinks while it is on the menu for less, which makes it a shame again.

Waited 30 minutes for service to take our order. I left after half an hour. Also see large number of people leave

Four course menu with steak or salmon as main course was beautiful. Nice tasty dishes and very tender meat for no money. Helpful and friendly staff. Restaurant worthy. To be repeated.

Really good quality , and not expensive. I ate the best salad I've ever had (and in quantity, which is pretty rare) -chicken/feta. The service was efficient: fast and polite. I recommend this place!! and it's definitively my favorite place to eat in Masstricht so far.

The three course menu was delicious! Good value for money!

Recently deteriorated.
Service was great and the food often too much too much, but good and tasty! Now smaller portions (ok), but no longer good. It looks like there is a cook in the kitchen who has not understood.
The extremely good operation is as good as gone. There are still some good people who really host.
All in all, a favorite place has fallen for me.

Enjoyed a beer yesterday with some friends at this cafe on the Vrijthof. Unfortunately, we were informed in a very inappropriate and non-customer-friendly manner that they were not allowed to map. This made us leave. Rarely experienced such non-customer friendly staff. Fortunately we could just go to another cafe.

When they said they had fresh mint tea, they meant it.
Had two Deep fried Dutch sausage and you can tell everything was made to order!

Would definitely come visit again

Tonight, 25-11-2015, had a delicious 3-course dinner at Rekko. Absolutely good value for money. Salmon carpaccio, beef carpaccio, salmon with dill sauce, steak and our son a 300gr steak. Super. Friendly staff with a sense of humor. Just an easy and good atmosphere. See you next time!.

As part of an Andre 'Rieu concert in 2017, combined with the reserved ticket seats, we got to know this nice street pub and ate it great. The evening menu we were served was uniquely good and first class! Always my pleasure.

Today we had something to drink at Rekko. Due to the bad weather it was not very busy, still having to wait a long time (20 minutes) before one of the 4 waiters noticed us. So we sat in front of us with dirty plates and a dirty table from the previous guests !! I do wonder how smoothly the service will be on a busy day .....? !!
tip: Maybe agree who does what from the staff, and friendliness also brings more gratuity.

Eaten at Rekko on New Year's Eve. Was a great experience. The starter consisted of three dishes, of which the mushroom ragout in particular was very tasty. Also the main course and the dessert were fine. Despite the fact that it was very busy, the service was quick and friendly. The restaurant itself looked great, nicely decorated with Christmas decorations.

Food only arrived after an hour of waiting, expensive considering it was tough meat, no service and erroneous bill. Absolutely not recommended. Keep money in the bag and keep moving

Operation on this terrace is downright bad, waiters are in a hurry and walk away halfway through taking the order to subsequently record the last part of the order during the course. The sandwiches, on the other hand, are very good. But there are plenty of other nice tents with nice service.

On the expensive side, half a liter of beer costs more than twice 0.25. When we asked about it we got an answer that this was determined by the boss. It may have been my fault, but normally half a liter is cheaper than twice 0.25. That is the whole purpose of a larger portion. Location is nice, next to the Vrijthof. Service was okay, had to ask every time if we could order something. Don't know if I would go here again.
