Educare Omaha: Building a Strong Foundation for Early Learning
Educare Omaha is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood education to children from low-income families. The organization was founded in 2006 and has since been committed to helping families raise strong and healthy children.
The Educare Learning Network was established in 2000 by the Buffett Early Childhood Fund, with the aim of creating a network of high-quality early childhood education centers across the United States. Educare Omaha at Kellom was the second school built in this network and is adjacent to Kellom Elementary School.
At Educare Omaha, we believe that every child deserves an equal chance to succeed. We provide comprehensive services that support children's physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and language development. Our programs are designed to meet the unique needs of each child and family we serve.
Our curriculum is based on research-based practices that have been proven effective in promoting positive outcomes for young children. We use evidence-based assessments to track each child's progress and ensure they are meeting developmental milestones.
We also recognize that parents are their child's first teachers, which is why we work closely with families to support their involvement in their child's learning. We offer parent-teacher conferences, home visits, parenting classes, and other resources that help parents build strong relationships with their children while supporting their development.
In addition to our educational programs for young children, we also offer health services such as vision screenings and dental check-ups. We partner with local healthcare providers to ensure our students receive comprehensive care that supports their overall well-being.
At Educare Omaha at Kellom, we have a team of highly qualified professionals who are passionate about early childhood education. Our staff includes certified teachers who hold degrees in early childhood education or related fields such as psychology or social work. They receive ongoing professional development opportunities so they can stay up-to-date on best practices in early childhood education.
We also have a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We recognize that every child and family we serve is unique and has their own strengths and challenges. We strive to create a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and respected.
In conclusion, Educare Omaha is an organization that is dedicated to building a strong foundation for early learning. We provide high-quality educational programs, health services, and family support services that help children from low-income families succeed in school and in life. Our commitment to evidence-based practices, parent involvement, staff development, and diversity makes us a leader in the field of early childhood education.
