Fritz was nice and friendly and gave us some good places to go to eat and other things to do

This is the best place in town. Fritz is amazing and goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is the best it can be. We stayed right on the water in a 3 bedroom cabin and did not want to leave! Amazing location, nice clean cabin with huge screened in porch, private pier and cute geese for my son to feed.
We will be back!

Beautiful place, very close to nature with access to the river just a few steps away. Kind friendly staff keep this place extremely clean! I had an excellent time and I m sure you will too, I ll certainly be back! thank you!!

The Edgewater deserves my 5 star review. I called and woke the owner of the hotel up at 1:00am on Thursday in the dead of winter (it was -18 degrees outside), and he waited until 2:00am for us to arrive. We were in a predicament because our furnace went out on our cottage 20 miles away and we needed a place to thaw out. When we arrived he had the heat turned up in our room, it was clean and quiet and more than we expected for the price we paid. It s a simple little place, but well maintained and very cozy! I d recommend it to anyone!

The inn seems to be under construction and the owner says he s renovating some rooms which is good news! He is a nice, informative, talkative fellow and I was met with a smile as I walked in.
The price for the room was about par for the course, the room itself was clearly dated but very clean and neat. The beds are awful, so I m not sure I could stay for too long, maybe if I were to lay on some pillows that may help.
The grounds are well kept and nicely situated on the river, would be a delightful place to sit, relax and drink a cup of coffee in the morning.

My only real gripe, outside of the beds, is upon checkout I could not locate anybody at the front desk. I called from the phone up front that has the instructions on it at least 5 times. This is not a big deal in a normal hotel as you can just leave and the keys are deactivated. Here, however, a real key is used. In the end I wound up setting the keys on the computer and leaving as I didn t have anymore time to waste, 10 minutes was about my limit. It wasn t exactly early, mind you, probably about 830am.

So if you re looking for a friendly face, a clean room, nice grounds and location, don t hesitate. If you re particular about your bed ... perhaps look elsewhere.

Charming inn with fantastic and caring customer service. The only place we ll stay in Eagle River.

Our home away from home! We always leave wishing we could stay for a few more days.
