As a Veteran, I was instructed by telephone care to go to the Emergency Room with my complaints of a bronchial cough and present my VA ID card. They first had to do a Covid test and this as understandable. After waiting for the results of the Covid test (negative), the Doctor came in to tell me that the bronchitis I had was the result of a cold which I had had days before and I was not infectious at this point so antibiotics would do no good. He listened to my lower lungs which were clear. Not once did he look at my throat. I was coughing so hard, he had to repeat himself because I could not hear him while coughing. They gave me a nebulizer tratment and sent me home. This was just the beginning of the worst cold I have ever had. After 10 days, I still have this cold and cannot visit my Mother in Hospice care. Should I ever be in need of an Emergency Room again, I will drive to St Mary's.

Similar to others, I had an exceptional experience with the administrative and nursing staff. They were supportive and actively listened to my concerns. The doctor, however, was pushy and did not listen to my concerns. He clearly thought that he understood my body better than me. Terrible bedside manner.

From my husband: We are giving this hospital 5 stars, we would give 6 if possible. My 3.5 year old son had his arm jumped on by another child which broke his humerus. We are from out of town and I brought my son to this hospital. My wife and I were very nervous as our son is terrified of doctors and hospitals, to the point where he won't even step on the scale at his pediatrician's office. At the time we didn't know his arm was broke but it hurt him bad enough we figured I bring him to the hospital. We were immediately seen by staff and specifically Dr. Miller. Dr. Miller was very personable, enough that my son allowed him to put a brace on him and wrap his arm as well as take an x-ray. He found that it was indeed broke. He and his staff gave my son a popsicle and a bear to make him feel better. He called my wife to speak with her about the situation. He was extremely thorough and called our local orthopedic doctor to make sure they'd be able to get us in ASAP. A few days later he called to check up on our son and make sure we had a follow-up appointment. We sincerely have nothing but wonderful things to say about our experience with this hospital and doctor. Very thankful we didn't go home to our hometown hospital as it would have been a whole day event as opposed to just an hour and half it took at this hospital.

The nurses at the urgent care were amazing. Great at what they do and compassionate.

The doctor, on the other hand, was terrible. I have seen a lot of doctors in my life and have never met one as rude as Dr. Bindra. He first seemed agitated that I was even there for what was going on.

He would ask "what were you doing?" every time he walked in the room (the answer was "chatting with the nurse about hiking" and "calling my mom", activities that ended as soon as he walked in the room and certainly were none of his business) and was short with both me and the nurse.

Finally, he refused to talk about what treatment options would look like in the future and got noticeably uncomfortable when I brought it up; he only said he would send me to a specialist, when this was a relatively normal female health issue. I was crying about a potential outcome and he sharply stated that "We don't do that here" while looking at me as though I was insane, when clearly, I was very upset.

Perhaps he is an ER/UC doctor because nobody would choose a primary care physician as rude as him. I was disappointed with the way I was treated and the clarity of the followup instructions.

Overall, I'd imagine with a crew of nurses as great as they have, the other doctors must be alright, but I wouldn't risk it if there are other hospitals nearby, unless you are in the mood for undue emotional burden.

Very knowledgeable doctor. They did a follow up call to check on me. I most appreciate how I was treated well a thoroughly even though I do not have medical insurance sometimes that is sadly not the case.
