I love shopping here. You never know what you will find. Its one of my favorite places to buy my friend's gifts. This is a great little VB gem.

Good food, one of the original homes of the holistic health movement in the U.S

I was not blown away by quality of massage or the masseusses. Started a few minutes late and ended a few minutes early.

This is a very unique place, the experience was escapism of the mind while getting a relaxing massage in a vintage setting i highly recommend it to others.

Peaceful. I also love the massage school where you can get massages at a reduce rate with students. And omg best chef in their cafe.

They may or may not have Cthulhu in an antichamber, beneath their ziggaraut.

Nothing is free here, except for their minds....

The place is what i thought it would be and better.My breathwork and peraonal couseling was what I needed.I will be a member soon.

Bookstore, library, restaurant, labyrinth and meditation!

The center has an amazing spa and the staff is extraordinary- very professional, kind, and above also well educated about holistic health, nutrition, and lifestyle. The center's library has fantastic books on all these topics, as well as meditation, metaphisics, alternative medicine, etc., a book store,meditation room, classes/courses, workshops,etc. It's well worth a visit if you've never been there yet. I higly recommend it.

There s an instant feeling of peace & calm when you are here. The spa has amazing packages that offer a variety of self care and restoration physically and mentally. Very reasonably priced as well considering the value delivered with each service. They have an amazing staff of experts, a gorgeous facility and a great vibe. While there you have to check out the beautiful meditation room looking out onto the ocean and the bamboo zen garden is a must see as well.

Been a member for over 25 years. I could never say enough Good things about the A.R.E. SPIRITUAL, MEDITATIVE AND HEALTH SUPPORT. Plus many other issues dealt with in Edgar Cayce's Readings. Beautiful place to be.

Great energy and a wonderful place to learn and share.

I was suffering with muscle and joint pain for nearly 3 weeks. The pain was so significant it kept me awake at night. After trying several alternative options, I decided to have a colonic. The pain immediately went away. I wish everyone knew the benefits of colonics. The ARE and their staff are so professional and helpful. I'm so grateful to them.

Love this center and I always come away with a beautiful crystal or two. A lovely meal from the Cafe too. Highly recommend .

I came here for a BizConnect Friday Member Meetup today and was really impressed with the space. The cottage which was originally built in 1931 has undergone massive renovation and is beautiful on the inside. This is where the spa is located and I can t wait to come back and check it out! The views out to the Atlantic Ocean are beautiful as well.

An amazing well known place for the events, gift shop, meditation room, library, labyrinth garden, and more.

A.R.E. has a lot to offer. I wish the Labyrinth had a low wall around it to keep people from walking into the middle of your meditation when you're walking the Labyrinth path as it is located just outside the spa building in front of the doors.

The ARE promotes the oneness of God, spiritual nature of mankind, purposefulness of life and the connection of body, mind and spirit.

Sorry, but I found no difference in spending $100+ massage vs a $40 massage off of Groupon. See no need to come back or recommend... although, everyone was really nice. And the place was really clean!!! Just don t see the value in the money I spent. :(

Visit this spa to optimize your health. The location near the beach is worth the trip. I always leave feeling completely relaxed and refreshed.

Great place to learn and explore. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. Your energy will shift as soon as you walk through the doors. Love my visits to this treasure by the beach!

I was not able to visit the center because I was on a walking outing from home with kids and dogs. But I do intend to go back and visit the center.

Loved all the books and archives of Edgar Cayces readings. You can read the archives on any subject you're interested in , in their library. Or sit in the meditation room in the top floor looking out over the ocean. They also have a nice gift shop.

This is a magical place for timeless healing. Clean and inviting. Extremely knowledgeable staff. The Massage Therapists are professional and offer excellent services.

My partner and I enjoy the professional atmosphere, staff and beautiful building at the A.R.E. Heath Center and Spa. We go several times a year, and appreciate the wonderful therapeutic benefits of the various treatments. I especially like the Reiki (energy healing) that I received and highly recommend this alternative healing modality to anyone. The A.R.E. also offers a wonderful Cafe in the building for lunch---great place to go after a morning treatment!

As a practicing Psychic I love this place. They have one of the largest metaphysical libraries in the United States. They are an incredible resource for anything metaphysical and their bookstore is totally stocked with awesome books, Edgar Cayce materials and more Tarot cards than you will find anywhere else.

A wonderful therapeutic, clinical - atmosphere spa. If you are seeking manicures and pampering, this is not that type of place. The massage was wonderful, my therapist pointed out where I had potential lymph blockages and suggested therapies that may help. A truly holistic experience, and I will definitely be back. Get the salt scrub, it's worth it.

Walking the Labyrinth is what I do to find peace, insight and a heightened energetic healing!!! love looking out over the ocean when I find myself in the center of it, I find my own center!!!

Cool gift shop and labyrinth. Been here a few times. Very serious about covid-19 and taking precautions, which made me feel safe. Bought a really cool ring.
The meditation room is closed because of the pandemic.

The staff is so kind and professional. The place is very clean and beautiful. The bathrooms looked like no one used them. This is a great place to visit, learn and take charge of your own healing.

I had a deep tissue myofacial massage. Wow!!! Maria was Fabulous!! I then had hydrotherapy colonics for the first time. Ms. Ora was friendly, knowledgeable and comforting. I will be back for both services in the near future.

It would have been better if not for covid but, the library was still pretty cool and you could read most of his prophecies and readings from the library.

The workers here are very talented. Everyone is committed to health, healing, and wellness. I've received a lot of services here and they all have exceeded my expectations. I've gotten a steambath, colonic and many massages. The prices are a little expensive I would say but it's definitely worth it. There's an atmosphere of relaxation with helps me get the best out of everything.

Drove 4 hours to see if I could get some natural help / healing instead of using doctors and was basically threatened to be arrested as soon as I walked in the door for not wearing a diaper on my face. Very unfriendly and no help at all. Terrible experience. Edgar is very disappointed with his name being tarnished. I'll stick with Cayce's books, not this place that's just trying to cash in on his name. They are obviously part of the harvest. God bless.

I made an appointment while laying over on business, somewhat spur-of-the-moment, and it was a pleasant surprise. Everything was as easy and stream-lined as could be, from scheduling, to locating the facility, to the actual procedure (which was performed by a talkative professional named Maurine, who informed me on every step of my treatment). Everyone I interacted with was friendly and attentive, and I had zero problems. If ever back in the VA Beach area, I will no doubt return to the ARE.

I am genuinely grateful to all at this center, for providing such skilled and considerate service to one in need. Keep up the good work :D

Staff was polite but system is messed up. Made a reservation online and THOUGHT I paid for the session, come to find out after the session I had to pay the money again. Was told by staff that 95$ was to HOLD my reservation which was totally different from what online presented. Never again

My wife has been getting massages for twenty years and I occasionally get one. We both felt these were the best massages we have gotten. Great technique!

Phrnominal services and mental clarity upon walking in.

I went for a lecture and it was very informative. I can't wait to go again. There was information to gather in the store and many other things.
