If you are interested in having a unique experienc...

If you are interested in having a unique experience of either getting STD from the whore house quality of hotels or falling off the cliff while your guide abandons you this is just the right tour company for you.
The company depends on the American tourism but the quality dropped to the incomprehensible levels. I've had 8 tours and had noticed an unbelievable decline in quality, service. Horrible guides that only speak German and as expected from an Austrian company appease German speaking customers and rudely ignore others. They take anyone on the tour and this time almost killed a kid that had license only for 2 months while other riders couldn't even get on the motorcycle, kept on falling off the motorbikes and were too old to ride such roads which ruined everyone's tour. They are more expensive than other tours and keep on raising prices without providing services. The hotels they pick are horrible. They trick you into purchasing "full insurance" which means absolutely nothing because basic insurance that comes with the tour is good enough. We had guides that never been on the tour they guided thus did not know the routes to take us or the coffee stops. The guides are like robots, they are taught to give "hi five" to the riders if you survive the day with them. That's the "bonding" with the group they've been taught until the dinner time when they get drunk on the guest's expense. They have zero class. All the good guides had left this company over years.
For years I've used Edelweiss but since my September tour I've tried another company for half the price and I have to tell you it was an eye opener. Such a difference in the hotel quality, guides, services, riding.
It's your money and time to lose off course but based on my recent few tours I will tell you that you will find better quality of the hotels, riding routes and more experienced guides with different companies. Most of all you will not be endangered, forgotten, disrespected.

I have done 9 tours with Edelweiss, visiting 16 countries, and every one of them has been fantastic. The tour guides are knowledgeable and helpful, the accommodations are always top-notch, and you have lots of great motorcycle choices. I have made many new friendships on these tours over the years, and still keep in touch with many folks I have met, including tour guides. I can't wait for my next adventure with them!

A year ago my family and myself took a sailing trip to the Greek Islands. We hired a skipper named Reinhard Fallbacher (Ray) for the trip based on a recommendation from a respected and dear friend but also based on his reputation and experience as an Edelweiss Tours team member. Regretfully, although the trip itself was very good and under the most friendly and cordial environments, this man was not accountable for the cash advances we made for the trip. Firstly, he never gave us an account (of any kind) of the trip s expenses in terms of our deposit, as agreed upon. Secondly, he never returned the money that we were owed from our deposit (upwards of 1,500-2,000 euros). Thirdly, and perhaps worse of all, despite our many friendly and amicable attempts of sorting this matter out through email, WhatsApp texts and even phone calls, Ray has avoided for more than a year.

I sincerely wish I wouldn t have to involve Edelweiss Tours in this situation but I thought, both the company and fellow adventure seekers like myself, should be aware of this person s behavior. I believe the tourism industry is based on trust and reputation and I felt compelled to convey this situation to others. Despite me and my family being extremely friendly, this man betrayed our trust and our friendship.

Went on the Stelvio self guided tour of the Alps. Outstanding roads and scenery. Bikes were good - we took Ducati Multistradas which were excellent. Accommodations could be better. We paid for Basic category which is 3 star, and while 4 of 6 were clean/good, 2 were simply ridiculously poor.
We paid quite a lot for tour and expected more consistent standard of accommodations.
We used the tour company to take the guesswork out of lodgings but in future, given that Alps tour takes you largely to ski towns in the off season with abundant cheap accommodations, can just plan it yourself.

Had my best motorcycle tour with this group! The experience is one for the books. Will definitely do another tour with them in another country. Their bikes are all in excellent condition. Suggest to go for the full insurance coverage to make your tour carefree!

Edelweiss Bike Travel: Ray ows my friends up to $4,000 euros which he still has not repaid them after a year. This is very serious and we will keep telling all our contacts her in Mexico and abroad about this situation. We kindly ask you to talk to your employee Ray and tell him to act accordingly.
We will be posting this everywhere until the right action is made.

After doing a number of tours with this company I find their COVID policy unacceptable. Having paid a deposit for a tour and now unable to leave my country I would expect a refund ? This is not forthcoming and is constantly being delay by the company.

I have been on a number of tours with Edelweiss and give them my highest recommendation. Their experience is clear in every aspect of the trips and the guides are outstanding. If you want to make your own way to the next hotel, that's fine too, with excellent maps and directions provided each morning.

The bike I rented was a 2018 BMW R1200 GS. The bike was perfect as I would expect it to be. However I did not care for the tank bag flapping around in the cross wind. The technician replaced the rear mounting velcro piece when I pointed it out. Second I would not rent the Garmin TomTom again. At the very least it needs to be in a locking mount. Why no locking mount? I need to say I did not care for waiting while three guys on a weekend jaunt tried on helmets. I paid for my bike six months in advance. Lastly Eva was great in helping me get sorted out and on the road. Big shout out to Eva!
