I am Catherine North and attended the show as a family guest. I do live in Marietta and sat up to the top. The kids performance was great and I did not mean to offend.
I am an inclusion support teacher at a local private school. I had a parent share their experience with me recently and I can't believe how this school treats LD kids. It bothered me. I don't think it represent Christianity.
"Our school community cares about one another as we partner in the education of children, we make sweet memories together and forge friendships that last a lifetime." ???????
The principal did seem greedy the way he kept talking about donation at least 3 times in little speech. It did seem like the children working behind the scene were left out at the end. That is what I saw and as I mentioned, another lady and her 2 daughters said exactly the same.
I do not have a good impression of this school. This is not my first negative experience at this school.

We love ECS! Please know that the very few disgruntled reviews posted do not represent the experiences of all of the other ECS families with whom I have interacted. I do not work for the school or church and neither does my husband. Our kids have attended Eastside for several years and we are extremely thankful for the school. The teachers are wonderful and, I believe, truly love our kids. I believe the school offers strong academics, caring and supportive teachers, and great training on how to interpret life and academics from a biblical perspective. We've had a great experience at Eastside so, if you're considering this school, please tour the school and talk to people who definitely go there so are in a position to provide a solid perspective.

Eastside Christian School is a precious school. My three children have attended since Kindergarten (with my oldest completing K- 8th & my other two currently enrolled in middle school). The teachers adore the children and work tirelessly for them. Mr. Hill is a kind man with a servant's heart. The smaller class sizes, rigorous standards, and student population do not compare with public school....& I know this firsthand because I am a public school teacher. The public school system must adhere to a different set of laws & guidelines. I see the contrast. It is not comparing apples to apples. My goal in placing my own children in private school was so they would get a good education with a biblical worldview (also something we cannot teach in public schools). Eastside has exceeded my expectations. My oldest son entered high school on an eleventh grade math level. He will be in AP courses next year and enter college with credits in math. Eastside prepared him for this.
While my own career path has led me in the direction of reaching students within the public school system, I am grateful that my children have had the privilege of attending & thriving at Eastside Christian School.

We have been a part of the ESC family for almost 4 years. My children are thriving at Eastside. They feel supported, loved, and encouraged daily by faculty, staff, and students. The one on one time with teachers has helped my children excel in their acedemics. We highly recommend Eastside Christian School to our family and friends

In total non-disclosure as you said, it appears that "Total Waste of Money" and "Catherine North" are the SAME, disgruntled parent. If you are angry, and feel like you are not being heard, that is fair, but stop posting disparaging remarks against our school and our teachers. Nobody is forcing you to keep your son enrolled in this school. Let the witch hunt stop here. You keep posting about how it is non-Christian, etc, and all of the comments you are making are just that, NON CHRISTIAN and judgmental. I am sure the school isn't perfect, show me one that is, but the teachers at this school LOVE our children, ALL of our children. Please stop this nonsense and move on to a place that better fits you and your son so that he gets the BEST education. If you truly have valid arguments, then post with your name and stop hiding behind all the drama you are creating. Not everyplace is the best fit for everybody.

We are in our 4th year at Eastside Christian School and the school has been a wonderful place for our family. The teachers truly love the students and provide a high caliber of academics, too. We are also grateful for the biblical principles that are the center of all of the instruction and activities at the school. While not old enough to play for the ECS sports teams, our kids love attending the games and cheering on the middle school athletes. We have formed many great friendships with the families at ECS. We highly recommend ECS!

We love ECS! Our kids have attended Eastside for many years and we are extremely thankful and appreciative for the school. The teachers are wonderful and truly love our kids. I believe the school offers strong academics with a biblical perspective and caring and supportive teachers. We've had a great experience at Eastside over the years, so if you are considering this school, please contact Kyle Bice, Director of Admissions, to set up an appt. to tour the school and talk to people who definitely go there so you can see for yourself all aspects of the school.

It has been an incredible blessing or our family to be part of the ECS family for over 8 years. It is so unusual to find a school/church partnership that has struck such a good balance in financial support, sharing of facilities, and common vision. We came to Eastside because of strong academics with a Biblically integrated curriculum and an emphasis on a Christ-centered worldview. Our lives have been enriched tremendously by being part of the school and the friendships that we have formed along the way.

This is our second year at ECS and our experience has been exceptional. This is without question a place where God's word is authentically taught and practiced with love, care and diligence. The headmaster is gracious and wise. The curriculum is challenging and I believe my kids are adequately prepared for their grade levels. The family community is supportive and highly involved. My kids are happy and look forward to going to school each day. We previously attended the Heiskell School and St Benedict's. We had good experiences with each but ECS has been the best fit for our family.
