Was treated to dinner here for my birthday. Great raw bar, amazing cocktails. We even got to sit outside on the patio (bring sunglasses!).

Apps, entrees, desert, everything was amazing. It is on the pricey side, but then again, you get what you pay for. Just know that on game day the place will be packed with jersey-wearing Sox fans before, during, and after, but hell, it adds to the atmosphere.

Great for kids, great food! Ask your waiter for extra hummus and crayons. Delicious overpriced yogurt parfait! The decor is beautiful and classy. Can't say much more, my dining experience was really excellent. Having zero expectations and reading zero reviews helped. We just walked in and enjoyed ourselves

Good good. Great environment. Bar staff is a selling point. Educated in their craft and efficient. Great late night food specials. Kitchen is open until 1:30. A great option for good food after all other kitchen's have closed. Highly suggested.

Ordered well done steak, steak was burned and bitter, while waiting for order mouse came out from the corner and run under our table. We saw it and table next to us. The couple next to us said that to the manager and she apologized and etc and the women said we saw the mouse as well, but she didn t even talked to us and just left. And I left eating my burned steak.

I was on the run on a Friday night so I ate at the bar. I heard about their great raw oyster selection and I was not disappointed. If you like the local oysters which have a nice briney flavor, this is a great location. I also had some clams and their Acorn Squash Soup which was very rich and satisfying. The weekend evenings are busy so reservations are recommended.

A 40s era bar/restaurant with wood paneling and red leather bar stools. Excellent choice of creative craft cocktail classics expertly made by professionals. Went there for drinks and I had a salad in addition. It was extraordinary. I recommend.

Good burger -- added bacon and over easy egg though for extra umph. Ambience is definitely French-inspired with mahogany leather seats and dark wood panels.

This was a great find! The staff were fantastic and so knowledgable and attentive. Great selection of delicious food options and prices. It is a small and cozy restaurant so I recommend reservations as it fills up quickly. I am going back for brunch this week.

Perfect spot to split a carafe of wine & some snacks. The ceviche was divine. The service was perfect & unobtrusive. Their late night & bar menu is worth checking out with some great craft cocktails on it too.

From the first step inside the front door, I knew this was going to be an experience.
My husband and I were greeted immediately and shown to our table. The atmosphere was very intimate. Not rushed, sound level low enough where we could have a conversation.
We had water, bread/ butter and a pickled dish on the table within a minute of sitting down.
The waitress couldn't of been more friendly and willing to help wherever possible.
We started with the warm clam dip. Definitely enough to share for two. It was delicious.
My husband ordered the rib eye with potatoes and I had the striped bass with squash and zucchini.
The rib eye was cooked perfectly the entire dish was soooooo good.
My fish was ok, it wasn't bad, I just happened to like the other dish better.
For dessert we had the warm brownie and fudge topped with ice cream. Perfection.
Well worth the money and would definitely go again next time I'm visiting Boston.

Best steak tartare I have had in years. Beautiful restaurant and friendly attentive staff, at all different hours it is for different scenes. Regardless, the food was top notch, The Bloody mix was a good edition, likely one of theieb most popular drinks. It's definitely my type of American Brasserie with a great menu of dishes I usually enjoy. The staff again was very helpful and friendly. Too: The bathroom.thats upstairs connects with the adjoining hotel and is interesting. I can't want to come back, get drunk and eat more and I bet they can't wait to help me do that.

Service by the bartender and our server Leah was on point. Our appetizers were great, we shared mussels, oysters and oysters rock. The dinner wasn t as much as a hit. My friend ordered a med rare flat iron that was definitely rare and returned to the kitchen. We ordered the bone in 16oz, med rare Pittsburgh style. When it arrived to the table it was hardly cooked and the center was cold. We decided to get the butterscotch bread pudding for dessert which was divine! While choosing a dessert we stumbled across a little note at the bottom regarding the a sort of gratuity for the kitchen of 3% that is automatically attached to our check. This is plain wrong for a few reasons. It is not the patrons responsibility to pay the kitchen. It also left us wondering if we didn t order dessert would we have been made aware of such charge on our bill? It felt sneaky and unfair to guests. And also leads to having to tell the server we d like to opt out which was uncomfortable.

Everything was perfect about this experience. The staff were beyond accommodating and the ambience was impeccable. Neurobiology could probably explain the bonding chemicals I felt eating this food. If you want to fall in love, eat here.

Great decor and atmosphere. Bartenders are exceptional in their ability to both make a cocktail and entertain you while they mix it. So, drinks are very good; if one were to come here, it's for cocktails. Food is good, but not exceptional. Specifically, moderately priced dishes taste reasonable (but not out-of-this-world), but really tasty dishes are expensive. It's basically a high-end bar with moderately priced food options, where you go for awesome cocktails, but stay for a good burger.

Eastern Standard is one of my favorite restaurants in Boston. The food is always excellent, as is the service. The staff go above and beyond to ensure you have a good experience. It can get very crowded when the Red Sox are playing, so I tend to go here when games are away or after baseball season is over. The seafood is delicious (of course) and the cocktails are wonderful. Highly, highly recommend.

As always, cocktails were on point, the wine selection was amazing, and the food was beautifully cooked. Everything has a lot of nuance and flavor. I went for the chicken which is something I normally don't choose, but it was juicy, tender and the sauce was absolutely delicious. The polenta was well-cooked and made a good sponge for the aforementioned sauce. Service was amazing, and the atmosphere was Pleasant. Why did I deduct one star? Despite having a reservation we still waited 35 minutes or so for our table to be ready. This has happened a few times we've been there. I'm not sure what's up. But the dining experience itself was excellent!

Food was top-notch and the service fantastic.
Stopped in before a ballgame for some signature cocktails, which were very creative and impressively prepared.
Came back for dinner after the game and was equally impressed.
Special "shout-out" to Charlie.
There was a small mix-up and our appetizer somehow was not put in to the kitchen.
Charlie apologized and saw to it that we got our appetizer and were not charged.
This was our second trip to Eastern Standard, but it will not be our last.
Professional from top to bottom!

A great place to go out for a meal or drinks. A reservation is recommended before you come here! Wonderful menu items, cocktail, and wine list! Servers were so friendly and knowledgeable. Plenty of items can be made gluten or dairy free to suit allergies. Very conveniently located, plenty of street parking and a pay lot also available around the corner.

Vintage decor, elegant but down to earth feel. Went on a Thursday evening around 7:30 and it was packed. Busy atmosphere. It slows down after 10 which is a better time to go. Ordered pork belly confit, meat was tender and delicious but the glaze made the dish overly sweet. Definitely a good place for a foodie.
