A large 20/25 litre can of vegetable oil fell off of a vehicle, outside my house. I contacted Hastings borough council, in the morning to bring it to their attention as it had leaked rather alot. Fearing that it would get in the Road and cause a traffic accident, especially with rain forcast. No joy there .
My neighbour however rang East Sussex county council highways, out of hours. They were here within 1/2 hour, a further 1/2 hour a clean up vehicle arrived with all the gear to clean it up. Great job and Thank you very much. Stay safe x

Forced the parking regime on us, high streets in Sussex are seeing shops failing and now proposing to increase charges. I am sure a ten year old could work this one out. Shame on you.

The ESCC 'Get a grip' campaign' is moronic! Saying that illness is no excuse for school absences is beyond belief. The council themselves have to pay an absence management company a heap every year to hound their own employees back to work! Pot - Kettle!
You catch a grip ESCC!
