rediculously over priced for casual gym access, equiptment isnt at high quality either
Awesome old-school rec centre with pool gym everything at 1990's prices a farkin cracker
The centre is now closed for redevelopment. It will reopen late in 2020.
Thanks East Keilor Leasure Centre staff.
Got to 48 years of age without being able to swim a stroke, thanks to your very affordable adult lessons swam my first continuous 250 metres today, now to get the hang of Breaststroke.
Swimming pools decent sized... Not many options for squad classes
its a pool. went there as a kid for school related stuff
Great place for kids to learn to swim. The instructors are amazing
All good with center! Love the outdoor summer pool!
Nice and welcoming, having access to gym, swimming and steam is great
when ever i go the out side pool is always closed :[
My son nearly drowned tonight during his swimming lesson and i had to save him myself as the teacher was to far away and the lifeguard was busy socializing. Yes thats right during his swimming lesson he is 3 years old and was left unsupervised. I looked over and seen him bobbing up and down in the water and had to run over and pull him from the water.
Kids came for lessons and also water play after the lessons.
Sadly closing for much needed renovations. Hoping they'll put more than 4 showers in the ladies changing rooms
Staff are friendly. Facilities are good. The gym is great. The pools will eventually be upgraded and are currently looking outdated.
Everything is good i have been going here last 3 years
Went swimming. Half the pool was for individual lanes which was a bit inconvienient as the pool was getting crowded. Was okay though, got through it. Family fun.
Shame it has closed for renos I hope to go back there wen rebuiltand hope on the same ratr
Pool is clean and change rooms clean. Happy with the swimming program that my children are in.
The facilities themselves are diverse and of a reasonable standard (not top shelf, but decent). Be wary of providing your contact information though. Frequent harassment from staff via phone/text/email to try and get us onto the next 'stage' convinced us to cancel our membership and go somewhere else.
I think this centre is unorganised, unprofessional and staff just don't care, I got a great price on joining but no service or care taken.
Outside pools are old and neglected. The toddler pool is so old the paint is all flaking of the bottom and side of the pool. There are bird droppings all over the toddler pool and on the adjacent building which then fall on to the pool. There is so much debris in the water that on a busy day the water is murky and possibly dangerous...It s a real shame...The other pools don t rate much better.
Inside facilities have had a makeover a few years ago so they are not bad.
Come on guys how about an upgrade to the pools?
Terrible service. Rang from Adelaide the day before saying I had a few hours between flights, and needed to have a swim. Told no worries. Arrived, and there was ONLY ONE LANE for publuc including lap swimming. Planned my day around this so very dissapointed. Never again.
This is a friendly and welcoming centre with helpful staff, an abundance of facilities and amazing group classes to keep anyone busy. I am so glad I found this place. It has been a godsend!
Have cancelled membership due to constant errors and poor administration. I would receive multiple calls per week about making bookings, even after I had already made them. I even received a call tonight to see how my membership was going...... despite it being cancelled. Payment issues constantly were annoying.
Didn't have the outdoor pool open on a 34 degree day, lifeguard was rude, unhelpful and didn't even know the price for sauna facility.
Amazing and friendly staff.
Pool was great, lots of variety of things to do.
Only cost me $5 as a student to get in.
A very aesthetically appealing venue. I will definitely come back.
Although the pool is out of commission I saw that the Moonee Vally Council were going to be putting a lot more money into restorations, you just have to be patient. But until then I still thing this is a wonderful place
Really well constructed and kid friendly, affordable, friendly staff.
You get what you pay for. It's not the most glamorous centre out there. Staff are mostly young and distracted. I stood at reception one day while a young male staff member watched Simpson videos on his phone for about 3 minutes. I was standing only two meters from him and he had no idea I was there until another employee who was busy eating in the canteen told him I was there. I have on other occasions seen Life Guards distracted by using their phones in the doorway of the store room and not pay attention to the swimmers.
If you are happy to go to a centre with dated facilities and get a price that matches then this place is as good as any other.
I like the group classes at this place as the people who run them are usually very friendly.
I have been coming to EKLC for 8 years now, regularly using the pool, gym and group fitness class facilities. Very excited to see the brand new centre in 2020!
I love visiting this place 4 to 7 times a week. Love it.
Gave 4 stars because of spa. Me and my husband had some rash from it.
This place is a dump. The customer service is very uncommunicative and the facilities are poor. Yet their prices are just as high as any other gym. I know they're getting an upgrade, but we had to swap to another gym for workouts and kids' swim lessons asap, as we just felt like we weren't getting our money's worth.
Amazing swim centre, can't wait to see the redevelopment, the staff is amazing
Big enough that there are always empty or almost empty lanes for laps. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff who remember your birthday
Kids were looking forward to jumping off the diving board only to get there and find out the council has closed the big one. Such a nanny state we live in now. Kids have been enjoying diving boards for many years.
We will not return!
Disgusting, a bucketload of rocks near the kids pool and as usual diving board unmanned. Filthy leisure centre.
The current facilities definately need a huge facelift and makeover to modernise it, though the pools were fine and usable in their current state. The staff were friendly and the prices were even better. Heaps of easy and accessible parking.
Would like to see the water slide working and the birds and bird poo cleaned from the wall and area in the outdoor pool ( behind the indoor pool)- surely a fire hose, brush and some fine netting could resolve this issue permanently.
Cost me $175 for a one month trial, staff were helpful but a rip off. They charged $80 start fee, account fees from debtsuccess their direct debit partner and other fees. This is not run by Moonee Valley Council, it appears to be completely outsourced. So our rates build and maintain the center with no benefit to rate payers.
Clean, and both the indoor and outdoor pools had plenty of room. Pricing is good.
