Website says they are open until 6 pm on Sunday. I called and spoke with a lady in shipping to change a appointment for pick up and was told they closed at 2 pm. When I asked her why the website said 6 pm, she said, "we ain't tryna be here past 2." I said; " so the website is wrong?", and her reply was; "I guess so." Unbelievably unprofessional......

This place sux people are rude been setting in dock for over 4 hours went to ask what hold up is they said we have loader on it another hour passes still nothing management needs to get something done...they don't even deserve 1 star they need negatives on them
Upon drinking part of a smoothie that I made with their kale, chard, spinach mix, I started developing fairly strong allergic reactions (itchy throat, etc.) and could not consume more. I then went to verify whether this was labelled as organic or not, since I have never had such reactions from these vegetables before (but I have from other contaminated foods). I researched their organic certification aside from the weak USDA one which allows for heavy pesticide use. CCOF was their certifier. CCOF's website indicates ignorance of true organic (meaning in the spirit of organic farming which is good for the workers, the customers and the earth). CCOF claims that the USDA definition of organic which allows heavy pesticide use, is a sufficient standard. Earthbound's website showed some hints of having more information, but each link that I tried was broken. I then found that the owner of Silk brand bought Earthbound in 2013. Silk is one of the "food" corporations which prevented labeling of GMO food in California. Beware that not all "organic" is true organic. I heard a Fox news watcher claim that organic food was more pesticide-ridden than non-organic. I read the USDA definition and found that this is true of those only seeking to meet the USDA definition of organic. I do not recommend this brand if you are seeking to support true organic farming.
My lady bit into a large 2cm sized bug in her salad right out of the box. It stung her mouth which swelled up for two days. I called and emailed Earthbound Friday afternoon, yet here three days later, there has been Zero Response. Safeway took back the salad. STAY AWAY FROM EARTHBOUND FOODS AS THEY HAVE INSECTS AND THEY DO NOT CALL BACK.
This place is not very friendly. Don't work hear. Those people already working in this place are zombies Security guards act like that they are big shot All truckers hate them so much because they let them wait forever in there parking lot.
I bought a sealed package of hearts of celery and found a SLUG on a stalk. When I called customer relations the woman initially had an attitude of "so what." When she heard the anger in my voice she went into public relations mode and told me this was a natural occurrence with organic food. I questioned how this could happen since produce is washed, she replied that only the ready-to-eat salad greens are washed. All other products are packaged unwashed. Since when does "organic" mean straight from the dirt to my kitchen? How is the washing of produce considered not organic? This employee even went on to tell me that the slug was a good thing because it meant the farm was a healthy environment! Needless to say I will never buy their products again.
We arrived at our appt time 4pm. Was put into a dock. We are now leaving at 7pm. You position your self in front of the dock door and wait for them to tell you to back up. They open the doors from inside the plant. Once backed in it took maybe an hour to load.
The last four times we have purchased products from Earthbound Farm, the greens have not made it near their expiration date. The leaves begin to grow dark green and wet up to a week before the expiry date. Paying a premium for greens is bad enough, but to pay that much money for greens that go off well ahead of the expiration date, despite proper refrigeration, is infuriating.
Originally I didn't like their salad because they put so much of that nasty bitter purple cabbage in it. Now they've reduced it and so I"m going to give it a much more favorable review.
This location in 1721 San Juan hwy, Bautista . CA Is one of the worst place to deliver. Staff is so weird , unfriendly , ready to fight Take all day of waiting to unload product from the truck.
As a truck driver, avoid this place at all cost. You're expected to keep your appointment but not check in early. Then expect to wait about 12 hours to be loaded. I woud leave zero stars if possible.
Came in at 2pm was not allowed to check in early waited for 4pm appointment time got door at 4pm now sitting at dock still not even a red light for loading my trailer and it s effing 6:21pm Nd worst part during nice weather day u sit in ur truck n watch sun go away as it get dark and ur still not loaded :( And every single review below is correct. I read them all still effing came
Your salads are going down the tubes in the last four months, it looks like your either re date the boxes and sending them back out or mixing old salad with new salad. It is safer to go back and maker are own salads. today we bought a salad, and it says use by March 14th, today is March 8th and it's already soft and going bad. this is the third box in two months this has happened, cutting corners is not going to do you any good, were through with Earhbound Farms, your products can not be trusted.anymore. Ron
Terrible place to pick up..had a 4 a.m. appointment, can't check in early at all so checked in at appointment time and was given a dock; at 09:30 they knocked on our door to tell us they were ready to load us and that it would take about 10 minutes!! 5-1/2 hour wait to load 7 pallets!! I dread having to come back here again!!
I had absolutely no confidence after reading the reviews before I came here but to my surprise I got here a little before my appointment time they put me right in a door loaded me in about 30 to 40 minutes and I was on the road and the people here are very nice.
Not a bad experience here.. they have a truck staying area where you can wait for appointment time, dont show up early your appointment time at the window fill up the paper form, I got a door instantly. Waiting to start loading and get unloaded took about 4 hrs. Not bad I think
They are by appointment only. You Amy arrive early and park if there is enough room. You cannot check in until your exact appointment time. They have restrooms and a permanent food truck. I had a 2200 appointment and was put in the door at exactly 2200. I have been in the door now for 4 hours. I have had a green light for two of those gours. It takes a long time to get the paperwork.
Received order 1/8 from dispatch for 1/9 at 3pm. Called at 8am and was told product was not ready. Called again at 2pm and product is not ready. Checked in at 3pm and told to check in again at 4pm. At 4pm, told that product is not available and order was cancelled 2 hours ago....which is when I called for the second time to be told product was mot ready. For the largest grower of salad greens in the USA there's only one way to go, and Earthbound Farms is clearly headed there ahead of schedule.
Well I had a great experience until! I was leaving the loading area to go back out to the parking area to finish my 10 hour break! Only needed to stay 2 1/2 hours. To have some black girl rent a cop tell me I couldn't stay! I told her I couldn't leave till my break was up! She was demanding to see my paper work to prove it and she didn't understand even after me showing her my elog. Was very rude and unprofessional to me!!! I'm not a truck driver that throws trash or dumps things out!! I'm nice and professional to everyone! I even helped a guy that almost ripped his doors off at the dock fix them so they would load him!!! But!!!!!!!! I tell you this now I have to start my trip across country on no sleep!!!!! Since elogs this happens from time to time now!!! Cause noone can sleep having someone beat on your truck none stop!!!! Hope they can find plenty of people to haul there freight!!! Cause I'm sure like myself there's gonna be others that won't come back here!!!! There added to my black list!!!! Sorry for the rant! God Bless!
Would have given 5 stars, but not everyone is on the same page. Got there about two hours early for my appointment, go up to the window to check in and am rudely told to come back in one hour. As I am heading back an hour later, they have moved from the main building to the guard shack for check in. The lady doing check in tells me to come back in an hour because they want you to check in 5 minutes before appointment time. I informed her what I was told an hour earlier and she states that she doesn't know why they would say that. Other than the first gentleman I delt with, everyone was professional.
This was a great place to load when Earthbound had it. Now its Taylor farms and it's a abortion. They have us parking in a mud lot you swim to dry land walk another mile to check in stand in line for 45 minutes and they tell you you're late. Well not a hour and a half ago when I got here I wasn't.
I purchased Earthbound organic baby spinach at Costco and when I got home and opened the sealed package, it was loaded with bugs. The package said it was triple washed. But. I don't think it was to have that many bugs.
BEWARE!! Was just there at the Carmel Valley, CA stand buying a flower arrangement. The checker had me sign the payment pad before even inserting my card. I think I know why. She had put a $5 tip on my transaction without my knowledge. They say they are going to refund my card, but when. They seemed to not be able to correct the situation on the spot and I m sure they hope I forget but they are wrong. I m a local here and if they think they are going to randomly try to overcharge people, like some unassuming tourists, they have another thing coming. I hope everyone makes sure to check their receipt. It s the principle of the whole situation more than the $5. I will remove this post if and when my credit card is credited. Otherwise I will make a formal dispute with my credit card company. I have to say I am so worried that this is something they do often. There was a lot of whispers and they could ve just given me cash back or discounted another item I purchased so I am extremely concerned about their honesty.
Almost a full day to load 20 pallets. However, nice people, clean restrooms, FYI, Truck will no longer be clean because the Parking lot is a dust bowl!
