Early Care & Learning Council: Improving Child Care Services in New York
Early Care & Learning Council is a non-profit organization that provides training and workshops to child care center directors in New York. Our mission is to improve access to child care services, the quality of services, and program administration. We also provide data to promote early care and learning support.
Our organization was founded in 1975 as the Child Care Coordinating Council of Nassau County. Since then, we have expanded our reach across New York State, providing resources and support for child care providers.
We understand that quality early childhood education is crucial for a child's development. That's why we offer a variety of training programs for child care providers, including workshops on curriculum development, health and safety practices, business management skills, and more.
Our team consists of experienced professionals who are passionate about improving the lives of children through high-quality early childhood education. We work closely with local government agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure that our programs meet the needs of both children and their families.
One of our key initiatives is the Quality Improvement Program (QIP), which provides funding for eligible child care providers to improve their facilities or purchase new equipment. This program helps ensure that children receive high-quality care in safe environments.
In addition to our training programs and QIP initiative, we also provide data on early childhood education trends in New York State. Our research helps inform policy decisions at both the state and local levels.
At Early Care & Learning Council, we believe that every child deserves access to high-quality early childhood education. By supporting child care providers with training programs and resources like QIP funding opportunities, we are working towards this goal every day.
