Comfortable farm to table restaurant hidden in a neat alley of shops. So hidden, Goggle can t get the map correct. White tablecloths, warmly lit, beautiful bar and regular local customers filled the place even though it was almost 9.

Our server was kind and attentive. She and other servers filled our glasses before they were half empty, and checked on us to ensure everything was delicious, which it was.

Dessert was over the top. Chef s grandmother s pecan pie was yummy with fresh pecans and tender crust. The lemon pie was also tasty. Definite repeat when I m in the area. Beautiful Christmas lights on the streets around the building.

My wife and I eat there often and have always had a great experience. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly. Patrick can always suggest a wonderful wine and the bartender makes a fabulous "rabbitini".

The gumbo is the best I have ever had at a restaurant. While I would have preferred a slightly larger portion for the snapper, it was prepared and seasoned perfectly. For desert I had the bread pudding, it is in my top 3 of all time. I would highly recommend coming here for any occasion!

Dyron's has the right stuff - a friendly and not snobby hostess that actually "takes care " of you - a top rated friendly bartender - and the servers are very knowledgeable and attentive - no hiding out. This is what makes a restaurant great. And fabulous food does not hurt.

OMG. Food was fabulous. Service was great. Nice, calm atmosphere. Alcoholic beverages were a tad on the strong side, but were good. Baked oysters = awesome. Beef tenderloin = OMG good! Warm chocolate cake = yummy. Finish the night with an amaretto, yea buddy. Everything hit my tummy just right. A little bit on the higher priced side, but worth it. Would make an awesome date night.

Consistently solid: Greg Abrams fish, Evan's Meats, local growers, Frank McEwan grits and farm eggs; all represented seasonally on Dyron's menu. Unassuming neighborhood spot in Crestline that serves simple, well-executed food that nails the details. Personable staff, good grape juice and stemware, and chill vibe. Sit on the enclosed patio tho

I don't know what's taken me so long to try Dyrons. Took some friends from
Atlanta for dinner and had a good variety from the menu- chicken, fish, gumbo...Everything was outstanding! Highlands is my standby because of consistency and I can't speak to Dyrons on that yet but I sure will be back to find out !

Update1/23/19
We liked this place so much we actually went for our anniversary ( we re pretty casual for anniversary!). Consistency was lacking. My husband got a steak and it tasted like it was cooked on a grill that hadn t been cleaned in ages. Burned. He never, EVER sends things back. Since it was a $40 steak I encouraged him to send it back. He did and helped me with my fish. My snapper was quite good. To Dyrons credit, they were a bit busy as it was New Year s Eve and they brought him complimentary bread pudding which was amazing. However the waiter was not at all accommodating or very friendly. He said it would be 20 minutes or more to get another steak. Unfortunately, that all left me lacking. Sad.

Very good food. They use local fresh produce and the menu changes with what they can find. Nice atmosphere and great for a date. It is expensive, but this is our upscale restaurant of choice since you get a lot of fresh food and it's not as high as some restaurants in Birmingham. Good southern food made luxurious.

It had been over a year since I visited Dyron's, but last night's dinner was amazing. Their fennel and grapefruit salad is well proportioned, light, and refreshing. The grouper and grits entree was boldly seasoned and filling. I topped it all off with delightful chocolate dipped beignets. The best of all might have been the environment. They seated us two at a wonderful side table that provided a striking amount of privacy, and the background noise level was so appropriate that I could actually converse with my dinner guest. Thanks for a great evening, Dyron's!

Great variety with uniqueness on the menu. Not out of this world and better than average. I truly enjoyed the fried oysters and the fried chicken. Also in a great part of Birmingham in Mountain Brook.

The food was delicious, but the pricing is very Mountain Brook. This is very much so a "once in a while" or special occasion dinner in my book. I don't mind paying extra for an exotic meal or something out of the ordinary, but it was a bit expensive for domestic food.

I'm actually still eating here, about to order dessert, and yet I feel compelled to leave my 5 star review already. Interesting food without being overtly weird. Normal enough to please my picky father, but creative enough to satiate the most artistic palates.

Dyron's is where my wife and I love to go on our anniversary because we can rest assured that the food will be amazing and the staff will take great care of us. Portion sizes are more than fair, so we never leave hungry. I love the comfortable atmosphere; not so dark that you feel like you're in a cave, but dark enough that you can make out and not gross out the people that are eating... just kidding!

Great little jem hiding in Mountain Brooke. Had the seafood sampler and couldn't stop eating it. Had the burger as main meal, slightly overcooked from what I asked but still a really good burger. My SO had the steak, also slightly over cooked, but still amazing. We were both actually surprised by that. Will go back.

I adore this place! They offer tasty food, their menu is decent, The chief cook in that restaurant is a specialist, I like very much tasting all their food. The dishes are always fresh and tasty, the service towards the customers is nice. I often eat in this place and I was never discontended. Highly recommended.

Hands down my favorite brunch in Birmingham. Seafood - check. Fried chicken - check. Lowcountry - check. Simply perfect for a traditional Southern Sunday. Not to mention the delicious Bloody Marys.
