DVAMC Beckley Reviews

Dermatology reschedules me every month a month a part. I have some skin irritations and all I get is rescheduled a month later. SMH. This happens frequently. Haven't seen them yet and I've been trying to get in for the past three months. I just may have to travel to another VA facility.

The staff that I have met here have all been extreamly helpful and courteous. This can not be said for the patients, some of which have a attitude of a spoiled child (I want this, and I want it now, and if I don't get it I'm gonna throw a fit). I have gotten much more respect from the staff here than I ever received from the civilian community while I served. I would like to thank all of them for the help that they have given me, and not the forced thanks that crowds are asked to give at sports and other venues.
So to the staff here if in the rush of things I have forgotten to thank you in person, I would like to thank you now for all you have done as well as all you are doing and will do in the future.

I give it 4 stars. 5 stars is perfection. No one or place is perfect. Debbie in the Blue Clinic, would come closest to getting 5 stars. Other areas of the hospital, would only get 1 star. Vets that have been going there a while know who they are. I appreciate Dr. Peterson and his care for me and Dr. Lewis, that is no longer there. I must give kudos to nurse Janice, in the "B" Clinic. I've been going there over 10 years.
Since I last did this review on the V.A. Hospital. Things have really gone downhill. The place needs to be cleaned out from top to bottom. I had to get help from Senator Manchin before they would help me!

My father been coming here for years and all they do is use him for a pin cushion they have him on 10 different medications thats not helping him. Idk just my opinion

Was admitted for a 4 day hospital stay after a motor vehicle accident. ER services were great. Dr and nurses very attentive. My stay was great, food was pretty good, nurses checked on me often and the times I had to hit the call button they came pretty quick.

I can only say positive things about the dedicated and caring people at the V.A. Medical Center in Beckley and in Lewisburg. They care about the patients and follow up in quick time. Their referral program could stand some fine tuning but this isn't the personnel at Beckley fault. Knowing what I know now, I would have joined the service just for the great V.A. benefits I receive.
