They never help with union and labour board paperwork either
Once you finally get to speak to so.eone they are helpful , horrible at returning calls
They have helped me many time...very great service they provide....and if they cant help you out....they will direct you to someone that will...A+
I received what I wanted with in 4 mins and it was very affordable
Went there twice and they were closed both times. The first time, they closed at 3pm even though the hours posted say they close at 4:30pm. Same for the second time. Got there earlier at 1pm and they were closed. Don't waste your time unless you're desperate.
I'm not sure if it's the best place to go for legal help
I'm grateful to have been able to access their services. I believe everyone is entitled to and should have access to justice, and therefore I believe it should be an essential service available to everyone who needs it. Thank you for everything!
Friendly staff. I went there for questions about Lanlord Tenant Board. They've gave me the right answers and at no charges as it's funded by our beautiful government system. They even proposed to come back if I had further concerns. Very helpful ressource and I thank them for all their help. Very knowledgeable as there are paralegals working there, so they give you the right advice, not suppositions.
Helpful staff. Grateful that this service exists for the community. Bring a book and grab a coffee from Tim s to help you wait. It s worth the wait for advice.
The new legal aid i dont know why they changed its name but yes it is legal aid and there are 2 of them in the same building which makes it kind of confusing when you go because one upstairs is for families and the one out back is for everything else. The secretary is really bitchy and rude if you are not nice to her and they don't care if you have a mental disability and you cannot sit in there tiny rooms and waiting area but the lawyers are a little more compassionate the the hired help!!!!! One last thing dont go there with a bunch of people cause there is only 2 chairs in the waiting area which is the size of my closet but then you look through the door to the back and it opens up to this huge monster room with space all over the place but they couldn't make the waiting room 10 feet bigger so more then 2 people could sit down..
I heard it was free to get my affidavit signed here, so I drove from ajax to oshawa and made it there for 415pm, walk inside they aren't very nice to me and say we stopped signing them at 4pm. I drive back a couple days later, so that I can get it signed, it says they are open from 8:30am-430pm online. I go back again, get there for 12, they are on lunch.. SO AGAIN i go and I get there for 9am, they say.. sorry we only sign them at 12 on Tuesdays... I should have just paid the money to get it done instead of using this apparent "free service" .
I had a good experience here. I had an Organized and professional lawyer.
