First time back since being renovated, the venue is definitely nicer, but the food and staff have gone downhill. The steak was terrible, prawns were rubber, my sister couldn't even finish the fish because of how bad it was. The staff weren't friendly and looked like they were at a funeral and when we complained the manager didnt care and walked off. 1 star because the beer was cold and you cant give 0 stars.

Older femail bar staff x 2 need to keep their sassy unsolicited and unhelpful comments and input to their selves. Laughing and making fun of a domestic violence/ staff abuse situation is not ok and not helpful. Gave the abuser more power. Clearly the situation was not normal. Thwy weren't funny caused more damage

Horrible experience. Staff were rude and obnoxious. Were told on arrival to wait in a fee free line, only to be told 20 minutes later that we now have to pay $30 or switch to a longer line for $20...... What?? You re a tavern not a 5 star night club
We went for Easter family dinner at Duey. When I ordered our meal, I asked some cream in my pasta instead nepoli. Bistro girl was rude and said no to me. Our 3 meals were missing, spoke with Indian manager. Manager was polite , hospitality and sorted very quick. Good to see other staff members were following COVID rules as well. We will be back.
I love the taven. The girls on the door were doing an amazing job but the manager sujon spoke to another staff member so disrespectfully and made her cry. It was really sad to see that a manager would treat his staff like that. We left straight after
We held our wedding reception in the large upstairs room overlooking the Ocean Street Junction. It was the perfect celebration place. Food and service were classy. Communication with Sujon, the hospitality manager, leading up to the event was first class. Duporth highly recommended as a wedding function location because they deliver a stress free good time.
It looks a nice pub, been there a few times, They look like they renovated and they needed to continue with the toilets as there was only 2 dunnies and no urinal.
Entrees were good. Mains of reef(bugs) and beef not nice and overpriced for what was served. Steak was average in flavour and the bugs were small, dry and has a foul taste. Did receive a refund for the mains though.
Good food and drinks...pretty much what you expect from a pub

Similar feedback to other comments, security needs a serious reality check. The way they talk to customers is completely unacceptable. The venue and associated staff were fantastic, pso guards such as this are doing the business a complete disservice.

My mum passed away in January an even though she spent her final years at the RSL ( she was a life time member) in Maroochydore, the family decided to hold her wake here at the Tavern. Sujon, the events manager was far more accommodating than the RSL, and has Mum...Clare Evans) started out in life working at this pub, we decided to make it her farewell place also.
Sujon did an excellent job of taking care of all the details for me. What we thought would be a day full of sadness and awkwardness , was replaced with compassion and understanding of our situation. His suggestions and knowledge was commendable, his demeanour was professional and many friends made comments on the wonderful ambience for a wake. It was an absolute pleasure doing business with him.

Food & drinks unfortunately horrible.
Ordered 2 Steak Sandwichs both arrived with cold tough burnt meat, way too much green salad, 1 slice tomato, the cheese was so small you had to loik for it & 2 lines on ngbthe outside of BBQ sauce. Horrible.
Pizza was good value & quite tasty again cold.
Fish & Chips fish was not fresh but frozen from a packet.
Scotch & Ginger very watery no taste.
Overall not the best, we were a table of 8 Adults & 1 Child.
Maybe instead of all the money spent on lovely renovations, more money on a better chef.
Quick service, great ribs, I had the crispy pork belly poke bowl was also very good. We had our Christmas party there and all the meals were great.
Have been a couple of times & had the salt & pepper calamari, it is very good, very tender & chips arent bad. Love the new fit out & sign in is easy..staff friendly. Very clean.
We hired the beer garden section for a Xmas party and the function manger put 3 functions in our area which was very disappointing upon arrival seems like just a money grab in my eyes. The whole pub became over crowded and packed out to the point that it was not Covid safe at all. The food was nice but not worth what we paid. overall very disappointed

Contrary to other people's reviews I found the place pretty good.
The staff were friendly, polite and efficient. In particular a young lady named Sarah who reccomended I have the chicken parmy, chips and salad. It was very good. Sarah was also pouring drinks at the bar. Bar tender Joe was also very good.
Gr8 venue, staff & meals & drinks were well priced! Only critism was that the meals were too big!! Happily revisit , recommend to all!!
Great prices for a good pub food. Beer is a bit overpriced, especially their Asahi but overall a good experience.
Good beer. Great food. Best service. Bistro Boy Matty was very polite and recommended the Parmy (was awesome). The two blokes in the Bar (Jarrod and Ollie) were the best workers by far. These boys deserve a raise. Absolutely put a smile on my face. This service made my Trip to the Duey an awesome one! I ll be sure to recommend it to all my friends at the retirement home.
Ordered the Sticky Pork belly Poke Bowel (note one of the most expensive options). When it came out I was stunned at how little food was in the bowel (4 thin slices of Pork), but I thought the taste would make up for it. The taste of the pork was perhaps the most dissipointing - there was no flavour, and was very dry. Took it back to the counter and after the encounter with the staff crew I walked away with a Ceaser Salad (which is almost half the price) with no difference refunded.
At least the salad came out quickly so I could eat with my group.
The staff arent friendly and when you need them they wont do much to help. The food is only good when you order the right dish.

Really nice place with loads of different areas to cater to whatever vibe or activity you're there for from watching a game and having a drink to a gathering with friends &/family for dinner.
Unfortunately the menu is quite limited for a vegetarian like me and so far I've not heard the meat eaters give great reviews about the food especially the steak...they always seem a bit disappointed.

Lovely location and atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the pork belly poke bowl. One of the best pork belly I have ever had. Food was served relatively fast however, the queue for the drinks is quite intense. Enjoyed our night anyway.
Great lunch value meals with a good selection of meals to suit most tastes. The calamari dish was cooked perfectly and a pizza was large enough to feed both kids. A great touch were puzzle and drawing sheets to keep kids amused while waiting for their food. Service was fast and friendly and the place could cater for a large number of guests. The only negative was their were no vegan options.
