I actually love this store and you can do cheap and cheerful or splurge on a designer item. Beautiful varied range of clothing and excellent homeware. The main gripe I have with Dunnes stores is firstly the way they treat thier staff and suppliers and secondly if you try and return faulty items you are dealt with by a suspicious hostile manager who makes you feel like something she scraped off her shoe. The returns policy in Dunnes is really appealing unlike Debenhams or Tesco for example.

Since the COVID-19, I always go there because it's very easy to access and there is always a helpful health/ security guard at the entrance. It's quick and they have a great products selection. Wheelchair friendly store.

The cheapest cup of tea in Cork is in the basement of Dunnes Stores in the grocery section. Paired with a packet of iced queen's cakes, it makes for a great mid morning snack. I love to take them and sit on the benches along Patrick Street and watch the passersby. This store is very centrally located near Marks and Spencers and Debenhams. The grocery store has a good selection and I picked up some great fashion finds upstairs during the August sales. They often have nice children's sports clothes with Ireland or Cork on them for a very reasonable price. I always look for souvenirs here when I am home. Dunnes tea towels are my absolute favourites. Nothing dries like them. I find the whole Dunnes line of towels quite good value. If you feel like splurging a little, there is a cafe on the top floor which is competitively priced compared to cafes in the area. Dunnes will deliver your order if you spend a very reasonable minimum amount.
