Very nice centrally located hotel. Nice room with a comfortable bed and all the bits and bobs you would expect. Very good restaurant serving up market pub food which arrived quickly and tasted wonderful. Lovely attentive staff. Highly recommended.

I don't recommend this hotel. The owners are simply rude and stubborn. I also don't recommend the restaurant which is close to the hotel 'Pickled Pig'. Meals are disgusting. Be aware chef doesn't wash his hands. Drinking water is straight from the tap.

Great location, nice and friendly staff - no matter how late we left the room it was always cleaned daily. Didn t try the restaurant. Has a car park but always seemed to be very full of local cars so you might struggle parking. Water was on occasion tricky hot water kept coming and going while showering a few times.

Good room but kept on hurting my ankle on the step down in the room. There was a sign but a step down in the room at the door is totally unexpected and I was not alone. Breakfast had the first vegan option I have seen. Was impressed by it too.

Ideally located hotel and restaurant bar etc in St Peter Port. Car parking and a 1 minute walk to the high street. The rooms are well maintained and have all the facilities you would expect in a good quality hotel.

Cheap hotel in St.Peter Port. Breakfast room very tight, breakfast ok. What bothered me a lot was that the toilet flush in our room did not work and that despite the message at the front desk was not employed. Room worn and in need of renovation. They then changed the hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised with our recent stay at the Duke of Normandie. The reception staff were extremely helpful in planning and organising our weekend trip to Guernsey but the real surprise was how modern and comfortable the rooms were. There were a lot of hotels in Guernsey to choose from but the Duke of Normandie was recommednded to us as one of the few central located hotels with parking (essential for us as we had planned to hire a car for the weekend).

The restaurant food was really good value and if you like shopping you are a minutes walk from the center of town. We really enjoyed our stay and thanks to Ken for keeping the bar open for us. We will return!

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay at the Duke of Normandie, our fourth visit is as many years. The hotel is ideally positioned for a wander down the road into St Peter Port and the harbour front. Very comfortable with good staff. The Pickled Pig restaurant has a good range of menu choice and a decent bar. Will be back next year.

I spent three nights and I can definitely say I had a good time here. Nice selection of breakfast and dinner too. I love that the rooms come with a portable Bluetooth speakers. I felt at home. Rooms were neat.

The food is always good, friendly staff and decent ambience. I am referring to the bar/restaurant called the Pickled Pig. Plenty of seating with sofas. Worth visiting and reminding yourself there are worthy alternatives such as the Pickled Pig.

I stayed for two nights and slept really well both nights.

The hotel is in a great location - very easy walking distance into town and to the pier.

The cooked breakfast was amazing - one day I had smoked haddock and poached egg, the second day I had avocado on toast with chickpeas, tomato and a poached egg. Both were delicious. Hot food is made to order. The cold buffet was basic but no complaints.

The main reason I am marking this hotel down is because of the water supply in the bathroom. It was really hard to get cold water from the sink and it was even harder to have a bath or a shower - there was very little water pressure in the shower and at one point the water stopped completely.

Lots of steps to get everywhere so sadly not great for anyone with mobility issues (not sure what it s like if you get a room on the ground floor).

Staff were friendly on the whole and I would recommend staying here as long as you re not too fussed about the shower.

This hotel simply ticked all the boxes, from the food to the accommodation, the staff could not be more attentive and helpful. This hotel is ideally placed for the whole Island, our only regret was only staying for 3 nights and not for a week, one point to note is a lot of the room's are on the ground floor, which if you have a knee problem is ideal.

Food was brilliant value for the price. ill definetly recommend the 8oz Rib Eye steak, it was Amazing!

I didnt quite catch the Barmans name but he was brilliant. Genuinly interested in what you have to say and even Held dinner for a collegue of mine as we were working ocer the last orders hour. Top marks to you Sir.

Staying here in January again for buisness and already looking forward to my stay here.

As far as it fits, except that the walls to the other rooms have a bad sound insulation. The kitchen is very good and you feel good. The shopping street is just around the corner and the harbor is about 5 minutes away.

Let's start with the pickled pig, absolute fabulous food , I had beef pie and veg, sublime even the gravy was excellent which is something from me , no one ever seems to do good gravy ,but this place was excellent.
The staff are helpful and friendly and respond to problems very efficiently.our bathroom on the down side was small, and being next to the stairs meant we heard everyone going up and down, even the people above us sounded like ,( or could be) elephants.
Over all a nice hotel if we came back which Im not ,due to the catamaran which I'm now not a fan,I would consider staying here again.

Excellent. the ambience of the whole place is lovely. The staff exceptional, helpful and friendly and always seemed to have warm welcoming smile on their faces. The food in the Pickled Pig was delicious, and again the service excellent. The room was very comfortable and beautifully clean. The entire establishment seemed efficiently run. To the owners I say " you have made a very good job at selecting your staff, and what a great chef ! "

We spent four nights here last week and had a great time. The place is old though, so the shower runs randomly hot and cold in the way old plumbing tends to do at peak times. The breakfasts were good and the service was excellent. I've known old town centre hotels like this so often fall back lazily on their position and reputation, but this hotel still feels like its trying hard offer customers a comfortable stay.

Very nice hotel whose rooms are certainly small but very cozy and comfortable. Staff attentive and caring and what is more, the restaurant of the establishment is worth the detour. Well located in the city and not far from the port and the bus terminal.

We had a comfortable room on the ground floor but particularly sound (we hear the conversations and blowing of our neighbors) overlooking the parking lot. A full English breakfast. The value for money is just right. The restaurant Pikkle pig that is part of the hotel is to advise, staff and atmosphere very friendly.
