Most unique and flavorful beer that I've ever tasted!
Great place to come and grab a good beer. I've really enjoyed all the ones I've tried so far. My top two would have to be Drink This or the Bees Die and Sassy Tart. Wednesday trivia night is also a blast!
Although I only come here We'd night for the Sunset Trivia, I really like the bets this place has to offer. They have bar snacks if your not very hungry it a food truck for the starving hanging out to beat traffic ppl.. guilty ! It's even dog friendly!! So next time you treating to avoid traffic hang out for a beer or 2. You won't regret it!!
Wonderful place to check out for beer. I love the flights they have and i highly recommend taking a growler from there. Plenty of room, bag of chips, and just a fun place to hang out with friends.
Good local brewery that allows outside food to be brought in.
Not a huge selection but pretty good beers. They have board games to play and the tasting room isn't cramped
Good beers. Very friendly. Dog friendly. Easy to find. Sufficient parking. No food themselves, but regularly have food vendors set up outside.
Good beer, ample parking, close to other breweries. They have games you can play while enjoying a beer with your friends. Very chill spot.
LOCATION:
Place was easy to find. Parking was very convenient.
ATMOSPHERE :
Very laid back atmosphere. Mixed crowd and warm decor.
BEER:
Beer a well crafted and limited. They have IPAs, Brown Ales, Porters, Saison, and Red Ales. No barrel-aged and sour beers at the moment. Bartenders mentioned those beers are coming in the future.
Must try Cali Honey Ale, 6.5% ABV, 16 IBU and their Saison, 6.2% ABV, 18 IBU. Prices were at the lower end. A 64 oz. growler is $8.00, and a 32 oz. growler is $5.00.
Their beer is excellent and the place is nice and comfortable. Friendly with dogs, with celiacs and with vegans / vegetarians but not so much with Latinos. We did not receive a bad treatment but if obviously less friendly than the obvious residents of the country did. With that in mind, it is highly recommended.
Liked the beer and the ambiance here. The place is large for groups and was not crazy crowded which is always a plus. Would definitely visit again.
Great beer, food trucks Wed-Sat (check website), on my way home from work.... perfection.
As a beer lover with a gluten allergy, this place is literally heaven on Earth. Everyone that works there is incredibly nice and there isn't a single Duckfoot beer that I don't love!!!!!!!!
I am spoiled as one who lives in Portland and have visit San Diego each week. This is the best brewery in SD for having a good taste with a small but broad mix. Will be back.
Yes!!! Matt the owner rules!!! Lexi the marketing bartender rules!!! Did I mention Duck Foot rules!
A good beer pourer can make all the difference. When I tell the guy behind the counter to take me on a hoppy journey... and he does... it makes the evening. Thanks, guys!
A really nice brewery and tap room. I was on my way to a nearby brewery for a can release and saw this little gem. Solid Beers! Really cool environment and extremely pet friendly. The nest part was that ALL OF THEIR CORE BEERS were available in six packs to go. I scored a sixer of The Contender. Their West Coast IPA and it was only $14! I will definitely be back the next time that I am in San Diego.
Cozy Taproom, dog friendly, good beer, friendly people, good connections with food vendors. You will quack with a smile here.
So far I've tried:
Double IPA (8.6 abv)
Not hoppy at all. It's OK, I'm not a fan though. I like bolder tasting IPAs. This is very subtle with little flavor.
Update:
The served me something else. My friend got the Double IPA. It taste waaaaaay better. Much more flavor and hops. 4 out of 5 stars for this beer.
Porter (5.8 abv)
Supposed to taste like hazel nut and chocolate, I don't think so. Not even a hint. Definitely not a good Porter.
More updates as I try their beers.
The atmosphere is laid back and chill. My kind of style. Very nice lighting in the evening. They have board game you can play.
They sell chips, salsa and guacamole regularly. There is food service outside, but I'm not sure it's there all of the time.
Went for trivia night. It was pretty fun. There beer was good. Did the chocolate and beer paring. That was good.
Love the atmosphere here. They have some board games to play. Dog friendly (my dog loves hanging out here). We usually bring mour own food, but there's a food truck sometimes if needed.
Beer selection: pretty good. Love the pale ale's here. Duckzilla is my fav. Most definitely one of my favorite breweries all around.
The beers are okay, but not great for my liking. I do enjoy the atmosphere here and the place has a nice setup. You can get a bag of chips and salsa to go with your beers. The place is dog friendly and you will see plenty of furry friends there.
Tasty beer, great space, friendly crew - run don't waddle! Loved the honey beer. Not to sweet, perfect!!
Had the duck foot appetizer, tasted like a ducks foot, but delicious. Also beer.
A modest selection of very good beer. Dog friendly.
Really nice gluten free beers. Nice spot and good tasting beer, my gluten eating partner said he couldn't taste the difference! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Only negative is since covid they have had to invest in a food truck for to serve alcohol with food, this was a bit over priced for the portion size and there wasn't much option.
My husband and I came here once late on a weekend. Very friendly people, beer was clean and tasty, and they had a really cute poodle (mix?) behind that the bar that likes to be scratched behind his collar. Their opening day celebration is tomorrow at noon, definitely going and so excited!
The beer was okay.
The service needs definitely improvement.
#goduckurself. They have some nice hazy IPAs and the Super-Mecha-Mega-Duckzilla.
Great gluten free beers, especially The Looker. Friendly atmosphere with some of the best staff I've met. Jasper was amazing.
The new Millennials love gluten free things, so duck foot will definitely be on your list because all the beers are gluten reduced. Good amount of dark beers. Seatings are ample and friendly beertender.
The beer at this place is easy to drink and is flavorful. I'm really impressed with their product.
I love this place, good alternative to Ballast, there is parking and you can get a beer quickly. The double IPA and Red are my favorites here.
The stouts are too sweet, but the rest of the menu was delicious
Duck Foot is my favorite brewery in San Diego. The beer is delicious. I recommend going to one of the many Mexican restaurants around and take your burrito there to enjoy a delicious golden ale.
There are 5 better breweries within 1min of driving distance. Visit Mikeller or Alesmith instead. Tested 5 beers, decent.
Great beer, great vibe, great place. Best low gluten brewery in San Diego!
Seriously the reduced Gluten does not matter, the best beer of all the places I have been here in San Diego. If you do have a gluten issue, like my daughter does, THIS IS REAL BEER! Tastes like real beer and IS real beer and is Really GOOD beer!
Surprisingly Cozy relaxing and plenty of room on a saturday evening despite 30 plus people! The menu keeps expanding and im very impressed with the selection. Very friendly staff. Jasper and Suzi were great hosts. I recommend this spot as a great Miramar stop. Cheers
Great brewery in Miramar Can, great beers and great atmosphere. Try the Coconut Contender, one of my favorites!
Fun atmosphere with a wide selection of beer (all gluten free) and games to keep you entertained
Top notch ....in every way. Beer. People. Environment. Stop by and enjoy!!!
Great tasting beers! "Duckzilla" was the Misters choice and the Mrs picked the "Drink This or the Bees Die". Sooooo delicious! And for our dog...he loved the nice cool floor!
Great gluten free beer. The have a lot of option and friendly atmosphere.
Great beer, classic San Diego small brewery experience.
Believe me when I say this brewery is fantastic. The staff are friendly and helpful with their recommendations. The beer is their focus. Monthly specials and house staples make up the menu. I highly recommend Duck Foot Brewery to anyone in the area and / or visiting.
The customer service is on point and the beers are great.
Drink this or the Bees Die! Honey Ale and the Oatmeal Nitro are my favorite beers by far. My boyfriend is gluten intolerant and all Duck Foot beer is gluten reduced (they can't say gluten free but pretty much means the same thing) so that's a huge plus. They have trivia night on Wednesday's and lots of other great events throughout the month. Minus one star because they close a little early on weekdays and Sundays.
Great little brewery that is knowns for their low gluten offerings. This is fine, but the whole gluten thing is a non-issue for me (and the vast majority of people who imagine they have a gluten intolerance). Sampled the Looker Blonde Ale, Red Ale, Choco-nut Lust Porter, Contender IPA and the Double White IPA all of which were quite good, but the Contender and Choco-Nut Lust were my personal favorites.
This place was hopping when we got there around 1pm. There is quite a bit of seating, but it was mostly occupied. Clearly this is a popular spot so get there early and grab a seat because you'll want to stick around a while to work through the tap list.
Great beers and laid back vibes. Jasper kept the drinks coming like a pro and was just all around great even though me and my friends were pretty drunk.
Super nice bar service. I tried the tasters - lots of gluten free choices. Games inside and an organic food vendor outside. Liked t
All beers amazing and reasonably priced and don't forget to get the chips and salsa, well worth it.
A favorite of ours. Everyone there is so friendly and accomodating. Doesn't hurt that the beer is delicious and they are all gluten friendly.
I can always find something to enjoy here, but nothing to rave about. Calm atmosphere and sometimes have a local food truck outsode.
Lexi is an amazing bartender. Trivia is a blast too
Great place and great beers. Duckzilla Double IPA is hands down my favorite, and their Rojoe is very smooth.
Their brewery staff is knowledgeable about their beers, and they are friendly as well.
Will definitely be visiting this place more often
The Slow Burn IPepperA is so fire. Pun intended. First time here and was greeted with smiles. Beers tasted clean and crisp. Signs of clean lines. Will be back.
Great variety of beers to satisfy any taste. Highly recommend. Funky, low key atmosphere in the heart of Beer-a-Mar.
I have waiting for Duck Foot to open for a while now since I work 30 seconds away, Me and my wife Mimi were the first paying customers on the opening day 5/9/15 at noon. The beers are fresh, clean and very well done. We met some nice people and had a wonderful time. The location is easy to find and I wish the best for Duck Foot Brewing Co,... John & Mimi.
Great place! Great staff! I stop there regularly.Short handed one particular Saturday night, Jessica, the only person on duty that night, managed to handle a sudden rush of about 15 thirsty and impatient customers. I watched as she calmly handled everyone's request with out a complaint from anyone!
bb
Delicious beer. Ample parking. Great customer service.
Beer, meh. Customer Service definitely bad. Some of these brewers think they have all the talent in the world and could talk to people with lack of respect. Sorry guys, your attitude stinks here
Great brews and great staff! Jasper is so friendly and helpful, and Sparky the dog is adorable!!
Favorite beer in San Diego Best ALL GF brewery I've been too!
for the best IPA in town, this is the place. we (3 of us) were visiting on Saturday evening. we all had the GOOFY REGULAR, absolutely the finest IPA served in San Diego from San Diego. try the Brazilian cheese bread, it goes with everything and you will not be able to stop nibbling on it. on that Saturday night we had a live Brazilian band. very good performance.
go, enjoy and be happy. it is downtown SD, so either you Uber or look for parking.
Nice kickstarter of a Friday night. Nice Porter and ok Red Ale. Music selection is amazing. Enjoy.
We went on a little brewery tour of the places in this area and this one was our favorite! We re from Chicago and now all we have to do is figure out how to get Old Bro and The Looker out there. Honestly probably the two best beers we had during our whole trip. The space is a little on the small side, but for a few people I would 10/10 recommend!
