A great experience and will be repeated in the future. The race itself is exhilarating. Ensure you are 30 min early to the beginning of the event so that you have a chance to guess which of the horses will win. You do get a gift for choosing the right winners!

Experience of a lifetime. Never to miss the Dubai World Cup Final if you are in the UAE. Ladies, dress your best gown, skirt with that fancy hat. Guys, dress to Impress ! For those who do not know, this is the world's richest purse with the upto $35 Million - yes you got that right ! Parking space availabe in the public parking area & then we can use the free shuttle to avoid blocked routes, traffic n thus delay. Food not allowed, not even water bottles but not to worry, there are food courts, prayer rooms. What more can one ask for, you can get to see down from fair distance both HH SHAIKH MOHAMMED & HH SHAIKH hamdan from your stand. So see you @ Meydan 2020 then?

Went to axwell and ingrosso yesterday .... horrible organizing of the event
The entrance was a mess !! Security where pushing people leaving them in big queues though everyone had a ticket of min 600 aed
I can't believe I would pay this price and being treated really bad to enter a party
Bars where empty of drinks except vodka after 2 am
No countdown for New Years !
The whole thing was a mess! I won't even think of going there again
The djs show was amazing which I have to say but the place and the event organizing was horrible

Meydan - a dubai hippodrome and stables

Meydan - a dubai hippodrome and stables

This "institution" was the idea of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum (vice president of the Emirates and ruler of Dubai) and was to bring Dubai horse sports to the highest places in the world.
Unfortunately, the events on the hippodrome are somewhere from November to the end of March, that is when I was not in Dubai.
At the moment the stables are empty, there were no horses in them, so we only looked at the hippodrome itself and it was very general, as we had a very tight tour program.
Basically on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, you can enter the stable area at 7:30 and watch the paddock, jockey rooms, look at the racetrack and horses. Horses can be touched, although they can bite so the staff informs you that you do so at your own risk. A trip around the stables takes about 4-4.5 hours.
An adult ticket is less than PLN 300.

Around the hippodrome, the entire district was created (~ 47 million square feet, or some 436 hectares = 4366442 m2) with full infrastructure, although like in Dubai, the topography has only three states: luxury, construction and desert.

we enjoyed the place with my kids.. it was a family fun day that was planned.kids all excited to see the horses. didnt bet though. So no idea about that A great experience and will be repeated in the future. The race itself is exhilarating. Ensure you are 30 min early to the beginning of the event so that you have a chance to guess which of the horses will win. You do get a gift for choosing the right winners! Night at the races is always fun. Silks restaurant is fine, not brilliant, but then the price is reasonable, specially considering the overall quality of the venue, which is World class. Best to do this with a bunch of friends and get right into the swing of it.

Great place...loved the horse races. Very classy and had amazing seats... right in front of jumbo screen near the finish line. The service was great, the food was pretty good even though the soup was a little gritty, and I looooved the lemon mint drink. Seriously, I had about 10 cups!! And dessert was awesome too. One of my horses won but I could figure out how to bet so I missed out on the winnings...but it was still exciting. Definitely try this place when in Dubai.

This racecourse and hotel are amazing luxury. The stables were immaculate and seeing both the thoroughbreds and the Arabians being swum was delightful. Checked out the jockeys room, sauna and lounges, doing a great job of explaining every aspect of the racing scene. The breakfast at the hotel was delicious and something for everyone. Excellent visit to Meydan racecourse & Grandstand Stables.
Sarah was a great host. I would recommend booking directly as communication from our tour operator not great.

You get to meet & greet the horses, find out about their lifestyle & routines, training, feed, shoeing & best of all give them a fuss.
This is a must visit place.
