Dual Diagnosis Anonymous of Oregon: A Comprehensive Guide to Recovery
Dual Diagnosis Anonymous (DDA) is a 12 Step fellowship that provides support and guidance to individuals who are struggling with co-occurring mental health and addiction issues. The organization has been helping people in Oregon for many years, providing them with the tools they need to overcome their challenges and lead fulfilling lives.
At DDA, we understand that mental health and addiction are often intertwined, making it difficult for individuals to break free from the cycle of substance abuse. Our program is designed to address both issues simultaneously, giving our members a better chance at achieving long-term recovery.
Our 12 Step +5 program of recovery is based on the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA), but with an added focus on mental health. We believe that by addressing both issues together, we can help our members achieve a more balanced state of mind and body.
The first step in our program is admitting powerlessness over drugs or alcohol. This can be a difficult step for many people, but it's essential in order to move forward towards recovery. From there, we work through the remaining steps which include taking inventory of ourselves, making amends where necessary, and helping others who are struggling with similar issues.
In addition to our 12 Step program, we also offer five additional steps that focus specifically on mental health. These steps include working with a therapist or counselor to address underlying emotional issues that may be contributing to addiction or other destructive behaviors.
At DDA Oregon meetings you will find people from all walks of life who share their experience strength & hope about how they have found freedom from addiction & emotional pain through working this unique dual diagnosis program. Our meetings provide a safe space where members can share their struggles without fear of judgment or criticism.
We believe that everyone deserves access to quality care when it comes to treating co-occurring disorders like addiction and mental health issues. That's why we offer our program free of charge to anyone who needs it. We rely on donations from members and supporters to keep our organization running, but we never turn anyone away due to lack of funds.
If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction and mental health issues, we encourage you to reach out to us at Dual Diagnosis Anonymous of Oregon. Our program has helped countless individuals find the strength and support they need to overcome their challenges and live fulfilling lives in recovery.
