Review of full day Intensive course:

Review of full day Intensive course:

Having previously attended a DSLR course I thought I was going into this with some idea of what I expected to get out of the course, however all of my expectations were pleasantly exceeded.

Jason is passionate about photography, something thats apparent as soon as you're welcomed through the door, you're not just sat in a classroom, you are in fully equipped working studio surrounded by an incredible collection of photography kit, old and new.

The course is very hands on from the start which really is the only way to learn, and although its absolutely necessary to go into some of the science behind photography, its done through a series of practical examples which illustrate exactly what your camera is doing, and how you have control over it.

Theres plenty of opportunity to ask questions and the small class size means you can really get exactly what you want from the course.

I'd definitely recommend it to any keen amateur looking to really get to grips with the fundamentals of DSLR photography and start looking at photography from a creative perspective, which is really where things get fun!

I did the 4-hour beginner DSLR course. I knew a bit about my camera from generally fiddling with it and trying to decypher the instruction manual - but I usually ended up resorting to one of the pre-set auto modes, yes, even the 'evil' green, full auto.

After a session with Gyuri, never again. He was a great teacher, who explained things brilliantly and was happy to answer any questions we had for him. There was a really good mix of theory and practical stuff, i.e. opportunities to take photos. It was also a huge bonus having such a small group.

I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone who wants to know how to start getting the most out of their camera.

I bought a friend a voucher and we did the Beginners Intensive course together.
Roland was very friendly and informative; he was also happy to answer any additional questions we had and address any concerns we had on the day.
What was really useful was the combination of theory and practice, which really helped drive the effects of different settings home for me.
I would 100% recommend this course to people who don't know what the buttons on your camera do, or even for people who just need a refresher of the basics. Great course, and thank-you Roland!

I did a 10-week course two years ago when I bought the camera but it wasn't very good so a lot of elements of photography still didn't make sense so I just wanted a refresher course. I thought the course was excellent, I have learnt more today than in my previous 10-week course. Gyuri, the course leader was clear, concise and easy to understand. I will most definitely come along for another course here. Thank you!

I went for the portrait and studio lighting course and really like it. The tutor, Jason, has given us a wide overview of several studio lighting set up and provided useful tips for taking portraits. He showed a real interest in the subject and in teaching it, which made the course even more enjoyable.
The course had a good balance of theory and practice, also allowing us to ask lots of questions. I really liked the fact that every question we had was thoroughly answered.
As a minor comment, I would have liked having some time to go through some of the pictures taken and have a feedback on those.
I do recommend this course also to those who are not really into portraiture.

I learnt the most important elements of photography, which will build a really strong foundation for the future.

I thoroughly enjoyed the course and the day overall. Would never be able to learn this range and level of detail from books or dvd's.

Artur was very enthusiastic, extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

It was very relaxed atmosphere which provided an excellent learning environment.

Thanks for a lovely day!

Just spent a great day with Edo Zollo learning to move out of the comfort zone of Auto! An extremely well structured course delivered with humour and patience.
Having struggled with the Canon manual and many hours on YouTube I finally understand the basic principles of manual photography. A lot of practice will be needed but I plan on booking onto a product photography course in a few months time. Highly recommended.

I went on Sunday for the 4 hours beginners course and it was just fantastic!

Our teacher Gyuri was very knowledgeable and friendly and he was able to explain in a simple manner the keys concepts behind DSLR photography.

The course was very well structure, dedicating half of it to hands-on activities, so you can learn by doing.

Trying your best to take a photo is easy, IF.. you just snap away and dont think much about any settings.

From booking a course, to interaction, and to going to a class with 3x other students AMAZING

Especially all this during a time like Covid 19.

I am sooo sorry as i am horrible with names, and my course was more than a month ago, but the lovely lady who was our teacher had such a nice easy approach to teaching and a passion to share.

I learned more in a day than probably the last year by watching youtube videos.

I feel my photography has definitely stepped up a notch, and i love it

Couldnt thank you enough for you time and sharing your knowledge

Hi Jason and Roland, just wanted to thank you for a great photography day!

I attended the Intensive DSLR Photography Course - a full day course. It was an excellent course for beginners, with good balance between theory and hands on practice. I learnt about the relationship between light, shutter speed, aperture and how to change them to achieve different results and to compensate for different situations when taking photos. The course was very informative and I got some really good tips!

I would definitively recommend this course to all photography enthusiasts. I learnt a huge amount. It was great value!

I did the intermediate photography course with Jason. We learnt a bit more about operating our cameras, about depth of field, stops and Metering.
The balance between hands-on and theory was perfect and the creative techniques were loads of fun.
I will definitely recommend this course to my friends and colleagues.
I reckon this is the best value-for-money in London at the moment.

I done a 4 hour beginner course in DSLR photography with a man called Jason. I found the course to be very helpful in helping me to understand my camera and starting me off on the right steps to be able to create quality pictures in the future. I also found Jason the tutor to be very knowledgeable about cameras, seemingly able to answer any of our questions. I will be returning the studios to take another courses some time soon. Good service.

I loved every minute of the Intensive DLSR course!...

I loved every minute of the Intensive DLSR course!
I was originally very worried to sign up as I had but I had no idea how to take photos unless it was through Auto mode, point and click.
I have never been a quick learner so the idea of being in a class with 7 other participants frightened me that I would not be able to pick things up as quickly as others, missing out on getting the most from the class I could (from fears of holding other people back)
Well, I couldn t have been more wrong.
I felt at ease as soon as I was welcomed by yourself and my tutor for the day (Aga) and the course was full of facts, yet taught in a very basic way which allowed me to follow every step and not feel as though I was completely in over my head.
I took away a lot from this course and am already excited to book up my next one.

Finally after years of playing about on my camera, reading magazines, looking on you tube etc trying to get my head around Manual settings..this is the course that has helped it all become clear. I wish I had done this course years ago. Great step by step explanations, good slides and reading material and great exercises so you can practice what you learn with lots of support. Roland was kind, patient and enthusiastic and was able to explain things clearly and at the right level of detail. Don't give it any more thought - just go. I will be singing up for the Intermediate Course in the future
