Dry Dock Waterfront Grill Review

Wonderful restaurant that's right on the water. They even have 3 dock slips for boats to pull right up and dock. Beautiful outdoor seating area, and a great view from the upstairs inside seating area. Menu is seafood heavy as one would expect, but there's a wide variety to choose from for those who don't eat seafood. On a nice day for lunch expect a wait for outdoor seating (our wait was 45 minutes), but there was immediate availability inside. Food was delicious and well prepared. Service was great, and super friendly. Definitely somewhere we'll be headed back to in the near future.

Atmosphere and view are certainly a focal point. My drink was well done. The blacked snapper was actually cooked perfectly. Prices are reasonable if you also consider the view and quality of food. Make sure you're ok sitting outside if it's breezy; you may have to eat your salad facing west downwind to catch it all. Service here is great, staff goes above and beyond to accommodate and make you comfortable and have a good dining experience. All in all, the menu is simple yet enough variety for everyone to find something they enjoy. Good for romantic date night or a night out with friends and/or family. Can't wait to come back again

An absolute must visit every time we are down on LBK or in Sarasota. Beautiful restaurant and even better, food. Very fresh seafood. Never had anything I didn't love. Try the Grouper Sandwich or Lobster Rolls. Can't go wrong.

Food was excellent. We started off with the Calamari and Grouper Bites and then had the Citrus Grouper for the main dinner. One of my daughters also got Coconut Shrimp which were great and we finished off dinner with a slice of Key Lime Pie which was excellent.

Great food and great location. Snapper and grouper were excellent. Portions are a bit small if you're really hungry and there was not a scrap of food left on any of the 5 of our plates. Service was excellent although you should be prepared for a wait. There are cool docks and boats to look at which makes the wait easier with kids.

A true hidden gem! I must have driven past this place hundreds of times before finally stopping by for dinner. It is now my go-to every time I am in the area. The view from the patio can't be beat. The food is incredible. The service overall has been good (we recently had David and he was SO attentive, recommended the most delicious dishes, and even made time to chat with us even though he was busy). I do highly recommend making a reservation in advance, or be prepared to wait 2+ hours.

Sat at the bar, the ladies were very nice. Food was yummy. Try the lobster bites and crab cake Crab cake was mostly crab and very little breading which was delicious. Lobster bites were paired with a delicious sauce! One note, if you're coming off a boat, as we were, you will need a mask. I would have given 5 stars if they provided masks to patrons that didn't have one. The time before this visit we were turned away instead have been offered a mask. They should have extra so they don't turn people away. They lost patrons that day and it wasn't a priority of mine to return after that initial visit.

Sat right next to the water on mother s day. The wait wasn t long for an afternoon lunch and the service was spectacular! Best crab cakes I have ever had and my husband had the fried red snapper sand which. The pricing was very reasonable for the portions served. Will definitely visit again!

The Dry Dock has a pleasant atmosphere overlooking Sarasota Bay. I enjoy sitting on the back deck and observing the birds, dolphins, boats and view of the area while enjoying fresh , well prepared seafood dishes. Service is efficent and cheerful and prices are reasonable. I had the shrimp tacos on my last visit and they were very good.

The service was great. The food was delicious. We had so many different things. Everything was said to be delicious. Of course-- mine was the "best". I had a lobster roll and lobster bisque. It was so much fun being able to boat to the restaurant and dock for lunch.
