Bought quite a few items here over the years. I always felt I got decent value. Find out all the rules first. Since going strictly online there are a couple odd ones related to grouped items.

Snowmobile auctioned online without disclosing KNO...

Snowmobile auctioned online without disclosing KNOWN non-running status.
They excluded information that the snowmobile not in running condition because it needed a new crank bearing in the engine (the info was on their sticker on site but left out of the online bidding details). When contacted about it they said they wished it was not written on the sticker, and that we should've known because "it was on death row". There is no way to know it's sitting on "death row" when bidding online. There was no denying that it was left out of the online details. It would have sold for much less if it'd been known that it was going to be a rebuild. There was no offer of compensation when contacting them, only a defensive response and attempts of blaming purchaser (for something we could never have known when bidding online). BIG DIFFERENCE from bidding with Ritchie Bros online where they actually have ALL details and high quality pictures.
Not having reverse is not a big problem, not running is!
All KNOWN ISSUES should be listed in details the same as on site!

Update: even worst findings, the bearing was fine however, the crank itself was broken in two! And one piston was pitted with metal bits. This was a catastrophic failure and a broken engine and was sold as working with "reverse issues" online.

Complete waste of time.... I asked for copy's of the photos they took of my equipment after they asked me to give the equipment away. They are only out to make a buck and will offer to sell your equipment for nothing... Joel told me it would cost 1500 dollars for the photos... But was still hoping to sell my stuff on a thier buy now site for a commission... They are clearly only out to screw the seller and make a buck themselves... Save the pain of dealing with these people...

I was involved in a glitch in the Sept 22, 2020 online auction.

I had been bidding on a pickup truck online and there was about 3 minutes left on the timer. I hit the ''BID'' tab to place another bid and the website page crashed. I didn't know if the bid had gone thru or not. About 5 minutes later the webpage reloaded and the truck said it had sold and I had won the truck for $12,250. I was surprised and excited. I then headed to the bank to get a certified cheque. About 2 hrs after Id won the item I called Weaver Auctions to ask who to make the cheque out to. The lady then told me that the item has been resold to a different buyer for $12,500, 1.5 hrs after Id won the item. I asked her why nobody phoned me or emailed me or texted me to let me know the item Id won was going to be resold again because of the internet crashing. If I had known I would have definitely bid on the item again.

After talking to Evan Weaver of Weaver Auctions my only option was to do a rebid on the truck with the second winner of the truck. I agreed with Evan that this is a fair solution to this problem because the first sale when I won the truck was unfair to all the other bidders because the internet system had failed and possibly their bids didn't go thru. And the second sale was unfair to me as a bidder because I wasn't told a second sale was going to happen because Id thought Id already won the truck.

Evan started the bidding by stating the second buyer has the bid @ $12,500. Evan had also asked the second buyer what's his max bid. The second buyer told him his max bid will be $19,000. So Evan said my bid has to be $19,250 or the other guy gets the truck at $12,500. I tried to explain to Evan that this is in no way a fair way to start a bid. When bidding online each bit goes up by a $250 increment. I tried to explain to him that if I say yes I get the truck at $19,250, if I say no the other guy gets the truck at $12,500. I figured Evan being an auctioneer would immediately see the total ridiculousness of how he started the bidding. I also tried to explain to him that obviously the other bidder is going to tell you his max bid is an outrageous number so I'm stuck with bidding off of his fake high max bid. Evan had no patience to understand what I was saying and told me to bid $19,250 or the sale is closed and the other guy gets the truck at $12,500. I told Evan Ill bid $12,750, which is $250 more than the other guys bid and how the normal Weaver Auction bidding process works. My reply from Evan was: Bidding is now closed. The truck was sold to a fella who owns a dealership in southern Alberta for $12,500. I was told he is a regular Weaver Auctions customer. I can't say for sure but my hunch tells me there is some bias to this decision of Mr Weavers. I was told by some friends that Weaver Auctions is a honest auctioneer business. My experience tells me otherwise. My friends, family and coworkers cant believe how this has gone.

Have been to many Weaver auctions in the past with many great experiences buying but since my last purchase, I will never again go to a Weaver auction. Quick version of my story is that a snowmobile was improperly advertised on a timed online auction held by Weaver. After purchase I discovered numerous items that were beyond "buyer beware". I immediately contacted Weaver to start communication and to find possible solution ideas. The treatment I received was demeaning and disrespectful . They ended communication with me without trying to resolve any of my concerns. I lost money with Weaver, I will not make that mistake again.

I had trouble getting an online bidding account and was very frustrated. After calling and speaking with someone in their office, they set me up and the service I received was so helpful and efficient. I didn't end up winning any items but the bidding on the app was fun.
