Very well organized shipyard with good prices....recommended..... regarding spare parts to be ordered prior arrival if possible due that has to be ordered from Muscat 6 hours driving or UAE 10 to 12 hours driving....

It's a drydock for low budget. All types of ships are docked here. Here you'll get very less trees or plants but peaceful. People are good and supportive but there are very less shopping options near drydock.

Most of the stores you require is unavailable. Many technical jobs such as rubber coating of pipeline etc are not done. It just good for dry dock certificate renewal.

Had bad experience. Not meant for an LNG carrier. Frequent blackouts thanks to their generators in bad condition.
Company is good 8 hrs working time but company will take 12 hrs for the bus queues and too much queue for food, and irresponsibility for the workers.
The Hindus and the Chinese work. Experience in replacing rubber in the holds is not. Our sailors, along with them, glued all rubber. With a scaffold, they beat the whole deck. Leier was pushed.
Oman drydock people are good and quality of work is good. Workers are mostly Asians. Place is remote and no other activities around. Duqm is a small place. One small shop is inside the yard. Shore leave available, but nothing there outside.
I experienced very good here as a worker. Here working environment is excellent. Workers and upper post employees relation is also good. According to salary, accommodation and food this company has excellent upper hand in respect of other companies

Good shipyard for steel renewal, blasting and painting only. Almost all spares will have to be ordered well before arrival as nothing is available at short notice in shipyard. All spares, technicians etc has to routed from Musquat or Dubai, hence make sure additional costing is taken in to account for budgeting. Provisions are also expensive. Workers have laid-back attitude but are cordial, warm and friendly.
