Same experience as most people on here. I find the office staff to be unqualified and overwhelmed. I also find it difficult that they do not accept credit cards especially when they are not willing to refill a prescription without back to back apts. The one thing they do have in their favor is their text alerts. Dr. Rosen seems like a good Physician, however it feels like he is disconnected from his office staff.
Dr. Rosenn is a wonderful doctor. He helped us through the scariest time of my young daughter's life. He was always kind and explained everything that was going on. He truly has the best interests of his patients at heart. I am grateful our regular pediatrician sent us to him!
The worst office ever. I swear it s like they come in miserable and take it out on random people. If you get Lilian forget it she will do it wrong purposely . It s very unfortunate to because Maria who s son sees is great. Only if they had better I would concerned returning.
Your first impression is of the office staff. Not organized, losing files, messages never get to doctors, once my insurance was not accepted and I paid cash, my claims took 9-12 months for me to be reimbursed. I like the doctors but to deal with the unprofessional office staff is unacceptable and this is why I left the practice.
All of the staff has always taken great care of my child, answered all my questions and took the time to explain all testing and medical treatments.
I have been going to dr Rosen for 15 years, basically my entire life and never had any issues with him. His office though is another story, they are rude and impatient and without notification the front desk told me to go to see another dr without and recommendations or referrals.
Dr. Rosenn and his staff are great. I've been going to this practice since 2003 and I've never had any problems similar to what some of these reviewers are posting. Dr. Rosenn is a kind doctor who is very smart and doesn't give up on your care. Like any pediatric office there is usually a wait, especially during after school hours. Making appointments in the morning is preferred if you want to be seen faster. The N.P's always return my phone calls. If I happen to get the voicemail as long as I leave a message there is never an issue with returning my calls. Dr. Rosenn offers testing in his office which is also super convenient. My diagnoses is Epilepsy and I have been seizure free for years thanks to Dr. Rosenn. I highly recommend Dr. Rosenn and his practice for your child's neurological care.
This guy is great if you want to give him money and never hear from him again. He ordered a slew of blood and urine tests for my 13 month old, and then NEVER CALLED BACK WHEN THERE WERE SEVERAL HUGE ABNORMALITIES WITH THE RESULTS. We found out after 3 weeks when we called the lab itself and had them forward the results to our pediatrician. The office staff are rude, unhelpful and never call you back. Rosen himself seemed like a decent guy, but we never heard from him again after we went down there.
Recently I had to change an appointment such that it was slightly longer than three months since our last visit. This meant I had to refill my kid's prescription a bit before the next visit or we'd run out. They refused to refill the prescription! They didn't used to do this. Must be a new policy. Eventually I got it, but it took several days of leaving messages and not getting called back. Pretty frustrating and stressful.
I like the nurse we see. But when there's an issue like this, the practice is not so helpful.
I have two boys with ADHD and Dr. Rossen has been seeing them for more than 10 years, since pre-school.
My 15 years old, could only function on a self-contained classroom and had a one-on-one aid until 6th grade. Today, he is a pleasant and well educated Honor Roll student, in 10Th grade, and no longer a Special Ed. student. My 9 years old is a sweet and smart little boy, who is a social butterfly, loving and caring. My boys have a great relationship with Dr. Rossen.
I will always be Thankful to Dr. Rossen for his support and help with my children.
Most of his staff are pleasant, with a very few exceptions, the waiting time has never been more than 10-15 minutes. When I need a prescription All I need to do is leave a message in advance.
I have and will always recommend Dr. Rossen to my friends.
Dr Rosenn is amazing he is very patient and takes the time to answer all my questions. What I liked most was that he didn t rush to a judgement or quick fix
Great experience! Smart physician and very good working with my 6 year old daughter. He spent time going over my daughter s paperwork and explaining everything to me.
The Dr. was great , very informative. The office staff is incredibly rude and unprofessional and difficult to deal with. They have no clue as to what confidentiality is .
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND - Recently, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Rosenn, for my child as new patient. The office staff were not friendly. They seemed more concerned with the forms being completed and the insurance, then the problem or chief complaint. We waited three months for an appointment. After filling out 3 sets of forms, with paperwork and payment in hand the day of the appointment, the first people I had to deal was the unfriendly and unconcerned for treatment office staff. However, they were very concerned about payment, and did not inform that we would not be seeing the Dr, rather the NP. We did not follow through on the appointment. I can only imagine what would happen if an urgent or emergent case.
I must say I like the doctors there but communication with the office staff is hectic and they should accept cards.
Dr. Rosenn has helped our son with ADHD go from failing all subjects in 4th grade to Honors List in 6th grade! Always kind and understanding, the staff and Dr. Rosenn are wonderful!
Dr. Rosenn s office seems to be the go to pediatric neurologist on the Island which is why we began there years ago. I haven t had the best experience as the office staff is many times rude and impatient and the phone message never takes you where you need to go, just continuously repeats a circle of options which eventually just takes you back to having to hear it over and over again. It s like the Twilight Zone. We, as parents, of children with either ADHD or more serious neurological issues should not have to EVER be further upset by a cranky assistant, impatient nurse or some other substandard office member. I feel many times as if I have to humble myself in order to get a call back or have the office send the school a report. It s terrible. I m looking for another choice. My son and I go through enough.
The front staff is un professional and rude. The doctors are great but since you have to deal with the staff more often than the doctors it is not a pleasant experience.
Office staff is so rude and nasty. They give you such an attitude when you call as if you are annoying them, when all you are doing is calling for a prescription. They really need to hire a nicer staff, ESPECIALLY when dealing with children. One time, my autistic daughter asked for paper to color and the NASTY woman practically threw the paper at her letting out a huge sigh. If it weren't for the fact I love the PA, I would have left a long time ago.
The doctor was very attentive, and down to earth. The office staff was great, as well. They called me back promptly, and communicated very well.
Our experience with Dr. Rosen was very poor, his staff have zero concern for how they act around the patient and their parents, zero disregard and empathy for a parents concerns. As a parent reading a test report that Dr. Greg Rosenn requested for our child and not fully comprehending the report we called his office asking for a call back to discuss the report. When requesting information for a test result on the phone the staff had a very bothered attitude and just kept saying well that is not how we do things around here, you will have to make an appointment and come in to get your results. To expect a parent to wait three weeks as that was the first appointment available to discuss the results with the Doctor is unacceptable. It is a shame that Dr. Rosen has lost sight of the fact that he is providing a service and that his patients are also customers and can take their business elsewhere. Needless to say it only took me a few minutes to find another Neurologist to take a look at the report and to assure us that everything was fine. Can you imagine waiting for three weeks stressing over a report to find out that there was nothing to be concerned with. All this stress just so that they can charge you for the additional office visit. If you have taken the time to read this I strongly suggest you look for a different Dr. to care for you and your child s needs.
It took for ever to even get into the exam too and when you got in to the room he was never completely focused on you. Not the best.
We saw Dr. Rosenn for two years. It was that long because there were too few PedNeuro docs and it took us time to transition to another doctor. Save yourself the hassle and do not start with him in the first place.
His staff is terrible - unfriendly, rude have no problem putting you on hold for over 15 min on multiple occasions. When I call to ask for records to be faxed, they put you on hold for 15 minutes and I find it is a 2 hour ordeal to get them to finally send me fax records. And they are so rude and irritated to make you feel scared to call them.
Dr. Rosenn is also terrible. He is a very nice person, not overly friendly, but he looks for every opportunity to bill you and this will cause you great inconvenience. The best example, he will bill your insurance and also require you to have forms/questionnaires filled out by teachers, psychologists, etc. on a regular basis so he can bill cash for those forms/questionnaires. Over the course of the same year, if the child has not changed, he still asks you to get the forms filled out so he can bill cash. I found myself begging teacher's. to fill out the forms, even though they kept telling me nothing changed and the form should be filled out yearly instead of quarterly or monthly, depending on the form.
The office staff is not at all helpful. They never answer there phones and take forever to return calls.
We have gone to see them multiple times and appreciated the PA who was honest and open about our sons diagnosis and we especially liked the nurse who administered our sons EEG. Was happy to get into see Dr. Rosen rather quickly but his staff was completely disengaged at the front desk. Having us fill out forms and pay the copay seemed to be their only interest. It looked like they were always doing multiple things which is fine but when you are nervous about your child's potential diagnosis, the last thing you are thinking about is paying cash or check for the services since they told my husband "we don't take credit cards and since we did this time you can NEVER use a credit card again." Dr. Rosen if you read these know that this is a pretty harsh standard for processing payments In a world right now we're most people don't use or carry cash or checks. I will continue to go to you because I love your PA but if we're not for her we probably would have gone elsewhere
